Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Wee Early Sunday so I can say Morning

Postby Barbzeee » Sun Aug 05, 2012 2:36 am

Yes, it is Wee Early Sunday...so I can say "Morning"... couldn't sleep no matter how much I tried..I was flipping and a flopping..gawd I felt like I was filled with the Spirit..!! Yep, I was gonna lift and float away...Well kind a..I mean if you believe in that..(which some of us to) you can lift from your being and soar the universe..UH OH..see I told ya my mind can take off in almost any direction...(Soos possible a flash back from the 60's era )

However here I am on the computer..my best buddy at this moment cause the house is QUIET not even a critter is stirring not even a mouse ! (don't have a cat now)...and I'm lurking around..tip toeing actually ...but it is really quiet and dark..the only glow (Wendy don't lose it now) is Me..yes, I still have that glowing sensation..like smiling I' a Cheshire cat (Alice in Wonderland in case you forgot )

Ah getting down to the Washing Machine..(the new baby) it's a G E top loader because of the size I can only put in that room that is what we were stuck with..and the place we go to no longer carries Whirlpool ..and this one was the right size..of course on of it's features is a HUGE STEEL TUB..and I do mean it's huge and deep ..I have to stand (don't all fall out now) on a step stool (you know those rubber maid jobs) to reach in and grab the clothes that are laying on the bottom..or get a HOOK and grab....

First load I did..well the water don't come in till you close the lid (HUH) so that means when I pour the liquid in (Tide) I have to rinse the top out in the sink..cause no longer can I rinse it out while the water is loading..(you all getting the picture) and when it's filled which I'm guessing.. it starts ..oh the button to turn it on is a "Push HERE"..and it's like squishes hahaha

You don't hear it agitating at all..just a little swish every now and then..and I keep asking.."Is it washing my clothes" oh and it does make a little sound..like I thought there was a kitten somewhere..little tiny noise..but when it goes into spin..Hang ON cause this baby KNOCKS... "Hear ya knocking but ya can't come in"..hahaha...but surprise it does a good job and when the clothes are done they are almost damp dry...This will take some time to get use too..but if it last as long as my other washer which by the way according to the place I bought from it was.."ta da" 12 years old..Alright !!

OH OH before I forget ..it says, "You are to only use HIGH ENERGY SOAP...Now folks What in the world is HIGH ENERGY SOAP..new one on me.. Me Thinks this H E S is a bunch of bunk ! Maybe it's HES cause it sure don't move much when washing.. I mean no Swishing and a Swashing..hahaha...

One more thingy.. the drum..it's stainless steel..every time I reach in I see me LOL...it's like looking into a mirror LOL..ok that's it..I mean there was the delivery guy who had all kinds of problems..but folks I mean to tell ya..he was a story all by himself...another day when I feel you need a good pick me up and place me ...

Paulette..if you is on the road...Stay Safe and Post let me know where ya at..Keeping you in my prayers..and have fun at that family reunion...Ya hear :)

Barbie (Barbara Rose) Made it HOME..see I told ya..and she is "Happy" in her new place..Thank YOU LORD..and even got a Massage..now that's got to be heavenly...never had one of those..have to put that on my Bucket List !

Echo...done got injured on the Dish Job..YIKES..nothing worse than a bummed up hand..Hope you get that Xrayed at least..just in case...take care !!

Dawn finished up the pictures scanning and now into the Music world..You'll be toe tapping as you do all that ..Nothing wrong with good tunes...and cold drinks...keeping cool cause this heat wave is really mean..

BJ (Redetotry)...wow as I was reading what happened to you at that Doc's office my ear began to ache..isn't it amazing and they are the professional and don't practice hygene..ouch for that digging.. if they did mine they'd hit OIL..OLIVE OIL..Momma use to put that in our ears..loosen up the wax..and I'd always say.. "With as much oil as we'd have we should have had trees growing out our ears.."...my brother Pauly would say "No Zeee, our brains are gonna slide out " of course I got that..Whack up side my head...no wonder why some days I lean a little..:)

Pat (dpf) always good hearing from you.. Wow Mom's 93rd birthday on Monday.. Awesome God Bless..Enjoy that Super with Sister and MOM... and I did read that recipe you put up..with the Root beer and Pork..got that on the list to give it a go.. Miss your posting..cause I love your sense of humor too...keep them goodies coming Ms Pat ....

Linda (outandabout) you is in a heat wave golly.. that is some high heat..Hey watch that swimming on the Olympics and think cool..Make sure you ain't knitting or crocheting....just relax and grab your chair and you know you'll be smiling here..

Ava, I now know who to call when needing something built..You is really good at that..Like I said..any time ya wanna come to Florida give me a shout .. I have plenty of work for ya..with good food and a few laughs.. You Rock Woman !

Lizzie I done checked out your blog..honestly I feel like I've been on an expedition..those pictures and dialogue..You was a good teacher...can't wait till you come back East..make sure you come visit me Ya hear !!!

Red (Redwahine) You know we use to joke about being dropped off on this net and we'd say, "Fasten with Velcro"..and I'm really beginning to believe it..cause I've been bounced several times and some for various reasons LOL>> Sounds like you are having a good time.. the pedicure and manicure ..another to do on my bucket list and the Wedding.. I love weddings and watching people how they all come together..all them nice outfits..and people can't wait to start taking things off ..like shoes first...LOL can't wait to hear the goodies...come on Red let us all in on it .....

Kathleen (dayspring)... Sounds like Horse lake is the place to be...Love when someone plays music and everyone sits around toe tapping and enjoying..nothing finer...I'm with you on the pizza thing.. i just want my pizza plain..and thin crust ..and good eating too...!

Martha (Acadianmom ) That list of having to go some where like Lowe's or shopping seems to be a common thing..I mean how many of us write lists only to look and say.."Heck I'll do that tomorrow"..LOL and I've never heard of that World's Longest Yard Sale..betcha it's got to be really neat...I'm laughing about your sister..hahaha.. I've done that number to mine..omg..hope she forgives me.. I just know she's looking down on me and saying.."A flash of light will take care of that"...:)

Judy your drive through the RedWoods sounds wonderful and like the rest of us.. sure hope you do well at the Dearlers with that list..How many times we've all had them On going Lists..but ya gotta stay on them..!!!

Wendy (Redetogo)..I told ya so ! and I got that message you left me on F B..the clothes did ok..but me..well read up again LOL I'm working on my next story..

Janice (Getupngo) I read your comment to Ms Jane..Yep you got it right on the nail..WE all come from different walks of life and do all inter twine..and most of us have been together for years..WE all may not agree but I don't think I've really ever read a bad word between any ...We all are have our opinions and we respect each other for it.. and we are one heck of a great group of Sistahs that are supportive of each other .. but if you ask our opinion..YOU GET IT..!

Ms Jane..Welcome..didn't mean to sound like a know it all..(I am ) LOL nah I'm only joking..but you know you really have found a neat group of wonderful people..just let your fingers do the walking through..we always have something to say and some good things cooking or making ..Don't sweat the small stuff..everything has a way of working out..and you're never alone here ..that's for dang sure !...

Ok, I've bent your ears and guess what.. I went to bed last night and forgot to post on my Blog..OMG>..it won't be the first and I'm sure it won't be the last time either...soooooooo have a great day and if traveling Stay Safe and as Always

Those I've miss ya know how it goes...Brain can only handle so much..but I betcha I catch ya next time ..

God's Blessing Shine Down On YOU ALL

Zeee still wide awake...

PS.. BJ I hope that storm has let up...please don't pass it my way !

Good morning everyone.

Mr. Murphy came to visit LeClaire, Iowa yesterday. The drought of the century.....corn fields so dry you expect to see popcorn popping directly from the stalks. Beautiful outdoor wedding. I start to get ready. Fresh out of the shower. I look outside at the Mississippi River and the skies are getting dark. No, can't rain today of all days. Blw dry my hair then notice trees are bent over half way and I can barely see the river. Walk to the window and it is raining so hard and then the lightening and thunder. Rain is in sheets, and in horizontal sheets. I just stand there in disbelief. It is so powerful, yet beautiful. Then I snap to. I'm standing in front of the window, wrapped in just a towel and a huge lightening bolt hits right out side. It scares me and my towel drops and the power goes out. Then the lightening continues to give a strob light show of me in my all together nothing to anyone that is watching. Yep, the whole town's power is out. How am I suppose to get dressed for a wedding in the dark??? I stumble and fell on said towel. Then remembered I had my little head lamp in my other bag from our outdoor week on Maine. Have you ever tried putting on makeup using a flashlight?? I was laughing so hard cuz all I could see was that face you make when you hold the flashlight at your chin to scare someone. I looked like a ghoul

Anyway, Managed to get makeup on, get into dress, find jewelry, shoes, etc. my DH had procrastinated about getting out the shirt he wanted ironed, so tough luck. That's what he gets for waiting till the last minute. With trusty flashlight we find our way down the hallway and staircase. The storm passes as we drove to the camp. At least 3" bathed those thirsty corn fields and soy beans in a short time. As the wedding guests arrived and the bride is ready to take her father's arm a beautiful rainbow, and cool breeze appears. The most perfect wedding a young couple could want. Bride was amazingly beautiful. I'll post pictures when I get them up to PB. Everyone have a safe and fun day. Aloha.

Good Morning ladies... I see you are up and at it soooo early Barbzee glad to have the stories... oh my Red glad no one had a camera outside at that moment... our minds can sure make a funny picture!! I am so glad the wedding was a huge success rainbow and all!
The outdoor picnic was so nice music was extra good because T was the DJ... they gave out tons of gifts... everyone seemed happy... T and I came back and watched some of the tigers game... I came home and put down my awning as storms threatened and shadow and I settled down...
This morning I woke to itchy eyes and felt like a cat... hope I did not get any of the poison ivy that is in the woods... the only way I could have gotten it was from the wind or from Shadows fur... put cold water on my face and drops in my eyes so it should be ok later...
Today is a laid back day... I will miss church but that did not stop me from having my devotions... am using the book Jesus Calling... a friend that has cancer gave it to me... very good for each day...
It will be cooler today after the storms only 80... wow that is great...
Echo take care of the hand...
Hope everyone has a restful day and enjoy yourselves...

GOOD MORNING SISTAHS!!!

At the moment it is really nice out there but I know that for sure it's gonna get hot and humid! YUCK!!! Says it's 77 right now and suppose to go to 84 with 60% chance of rain predicted for this afternoon, heat index will be 92. Humidity at 91%. Yep, gonna get sticky out there! ~sigh~

Working at my second cup of coffee here I think I will need more too. Slept 8hrs but still feel tired. The heat and humidity is knocking me out. Thank goodness for the window A/C unit. Gonna go to the clinic Monday morning to see about getting my BP scripts filled and to have my BP checked too. At least that's my plan at the moment. Got to get off my duff.

My hand isn't to bad at the moment. Still a tiny bit swollen but it's so much better than it was last night. Still a touch sore too. I still can't grip things the way I should so it just might be real interesting at work tonight!! I guess we shall see how it goes. If I can't hold onto the dishes or the pots and pans and manipulate my hand the way I should it's gonna be really hard to take care of the dishes. They will either have to send me home or put me into a different job for the night. They're gonna love that!!!!! NOT!

OK, off to read and see what ya'll have been up to. Hope everyone has a great day, has fun and of course does it all safely.

Love to all

good morning ladies
am enjoying this early morning as its just very quiet in the house and the neighborhood, dogs are sleeping and the
swamp cooler just humming its tune. Coffee tastes good as its fresh, not warmed over left over from yesterday.
(yes, I admit, I save coffee and warm it up in the micro)
So, what shall I do today? Hopefully I'll get the cabinet hung, will need the guys help to do that and then roll in the
bar (its on wheels) and stand back and hopefully admire a totally functional kitchen. I just might even get in there
and cook, ya never know.
There are things in my room that need doing but my brain says....(get this) nooooooo, I might disturb the dogs.
I put off too many things with that excuse. Well, truth be told, its half way true. Things like vacuuming really
freak Gracie out so I have to put her in her kennel until I'm done but if she's sleeping in her little bed under the
desk, I feel bad to wake her up just to put her in her kennel so then the vacuuming doesn't get done. haha, broom
works and is much quieter but not as clean a job as sucking up all that dirt into one easy to empty canister. Then
of course there were the time I wanted to strip the bed but couldn't cause the girls were still sleeping. I guess I
cater to my girls too much, but at least they give back cause they lovvvvvvve their mommy
Time for another cup of coffee and then I'll get busy with the broom.
Ya'll have a great day

Morning! Watching tennis at the Olympics - do love watching two really fit guys running all over the court, y'know :D :D :D

We may get rain this morning. Mark has left the windows open on the Jeep tempting the gates - could be a gully washer LOL. And I'm keeping one eye out for Ernesto and what he's going to do this week. I think it's going to come in way south of us but I still need to keep an eye on it.

I've been playing with more photos from vacation and doing some more scrapping. I may post some more later.

Slept in this morning. Not a bad first night in the new house but my airbed is a little too "soft" so will have to inflate it more today. Lola spent most of the night sitting in the window watching for night creatures. Now she is under the bed after hearing the gals up and moving around some.

Got more stuff to put away and organize today but with all the storage areas, that shouldn't be too big of a project. Want to walk around the property and check it all out. It was so nice to listen to crickets all night. Haven't heard that for a long time. Love that sound! May go pick up some paint for this room. It is all white so it could use a little warm color in it, and they said it was OK to paint in here. Probably do a very pale green. Still need to get some furniture like a dresser and night stand and TV stand. My aunt has a nice dresser and night stand she's keeping at my dad's since she isn't using it, so he is gonna ask her if I can use it or buy it from her. Otherwise, I will look for some used furniture at a thrift store. I found a nice bedroom set on line but can't afford it right now.

Gotta call my new manager and set up a time to get my paperwork done before starting work tomorrow evening. My licence is now active so that is good. They scheduled me for evenings this week just in case my license didn't get renewed yet, since State Board doesn't come around checking in the evenings.

Had a lot of crazy wild "man" dreams last night! Haven't had dreams like that for a long time! Maybe I need to start looking for a boyfriend!  (or at least a boy toy!)

Hope you all have a great day!
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)

Barb, have you ever thought about writing a book...the world needs another Erma Bombeck and I think you could be it.. :D I loved the song 'I hear ya knockin' Fats did it good but the original girl (what was her name?) I liked best.
Red, mother nature can really play some tricks on us but she came through in the end...that rainbow was surely God giving his blessings on this union.
Barbie, maybe these dreams are telling you the 'man of your dreams' has been waiting for you to return home...keep us posted on the saga..but just make sure he likes to travel.
My tummy is growling and I think a scrambled egg will satisfy..the next question is can I get to a burner on my stove. I have emptied my cabinets and it's all over the counter tops...what a mess!

GOOD MORNING TO ALL!

I guess I should say afternoon now, however. I have been online paying bills for hours.

Zee, I am returning my brand new GE top loading washer on Wednesday, as mine, huge stainless tub and all, doesn't get half enough water out of my clothes for the dryer. In fact, after the repair guy got here and diagnosed its needing a whole new motor for what ails it, I tried another load and it left over 3 inches of water in the bottom of the tub! Lowes is switching it even for me for a Samsung as I am now afraid to get another GE. I figure Samsung is a top name in electronics, and these new machines have computer boards in them. My old washer, a Kenmore, I have been using since 1977! I should have kept it and had the solenoid water shut-off fixed instead of buying this new dud. By the way, when they spin, they are supposed to spin in overdrive and with no bumping around. Perhaps yours is not balanced on its little balancing feet? But if yours is getting your clothes wrung out properly, what the heck!

Red, that was some wedding prep you had! I laughed at the thought of you naked as a jaybird in the flashes of the lightning! Sure happy to hear the sun came out just in time and provided that beautiful rainbow for the ones marrying! What a good omen for them!

Barbie, sure hope your first work night goes smoothly, and that you will be very happy back at home for a while. Nice to hear you made it safe and sound with Lola.

I hope everyone has a wonderful Sunday wherever you may be.
Life is about learning to dance in the rain
Happy travels!

Zeee, my washer is a front load, but the detergent I have to use if High Efficiency, never heard of High Energy, maybe that's special for you because of all your energy...or you're infusing your clothes with energy and they're gonna get up and walk by themselves!

I just went and turned on the fridge in the rv. We've been waiting till my Godson was born before heading out somewhere, Ronnie has been going stir crazy waiting. Then after Jaxon was born, we started watching Ernesto. Looks like he's gonna go south or at least that's the current prediction. I decided last night to just go ahead and plan on leaving for the coast tomorrow. We can keep an eye on the weather and come back early if we need to, throw a few more things in the rv and take off north.

This morning they have Ernesto going more South into Mexico. Don't know how much we can count on that. When we headed out to Florida Debbie was going West and the next morning it was going East.

I am familiar with the he laundry detergent because I had a front load washer. I don't know why they would recommend it for a top loader. My new set is Frigidaire and I really like them. My DH use to complain about how much noise the old ones made but you can hardly hear these. They have way more control choices than I will ever use but these were the ones on sale when I was looking. We always had GE and bought from a local store except for the piece of crap Maytag. When I went there this time the man tried to talk me out of a front load washer. He said that the front loaders smell because they mildew. I don't know why they would mildew more than any other. Maybe because the door closes tighter. The latch on the one I bought keeps the door open a crack unless you push hard on it. He just lost a sale. I wanted some I could stack and he wasn't going to talk me out of it.

I had the oven on for lunch and thought about making a pie but was too lazy to make a pie crust. It's a shame to be so lazy. I use to make a good pie crust but it's so easy to buy one.

Vickie, did they fix the fishing pier in Cameron that the barge ran into? I seldom go that way so have never seen the campground you talked about.

Yes, Martha, they fixed the pier and opened it back up in June I think. Here is the pics I posted one time when we went down there. Sure wish there was shade there because it sure is hot, luckily there's always a breeze blowing.
