Snowy Sunday,... well, for me at least!

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Good morning,.... where is everyone this morning,... looks like it's a great morning to snooze a while and i sure don't blame you!

i've been out shoveling off my deck as it's already starting to snow .... AGAIN! Yuk. i know Soosie loves it but come on Mother Nature, we've got enough for a white christmas now so let up a little won't you? :o

I've got the coffee on, of course the jar of biscotti is waiting for you, and I've added some beer bread and cream cheese,... mugs are out, chairs are ready,... just stomp the snow off and come on in!

(Of course this is ZEEE's kitchen and as she's in FL she's wondering ..."what's all this snow talk?" hee hee....

I have been baking so putting brownie peanut butter cookies, cake balls of all flavors on the table to enjoy along wiht the biscotti. Getting a cuppa of hot coffee and waiting on all the news of the day.

We have had a couple of warm days in Florida, but another cold front coming through for Christmas. But no snow!! Wouldn't mind just a sprinkling for Christmas morning

Finishing up all the gifts we are making here today, so that is moving things right along.

Everyone have a great day.....

Here it comes again! HAPPY FIRST DAY OF WINTER!!!!

Got my deck all shoveled off yesterday, except for a small part of it on the other end, to allow Molly to go out there and pee----she won't pee on a bare deck! Temperature is MUCH warmer here this morning...+12F. As I didn't get out to shop yesterday, I will be doing that today, so skiing may have to wait another while.

Thanks for the coffee....will have to avoid those pistachio muffins again today at Price Chopper! (Have a feeling, if they have any, they will go immediately into my cart!)

Have to hurry before snow becomes too thick to see the roads....have a great day, you all!

The first day of winter looks just like the last day of fall at your house, Nasoosie. What a winter wonderland you all will have this Christmas!

I'm off to church, will check back later. Have a blessed day, everybody!

All church services cancelled here today!! Snow has changed to snow mix and the street lights are making a glare off the snow so I know it's a skating rink even before the sun comes up. No cross country skiing on our fluffy foot of new snow. A few major highways on the east side of Portland, Or are closed and a few thousand people without power already. More rain/snow mix coming tomorrow. Winter arrived like a lion for us this year!

Oregon is a MESS today...and I guess so is WA. My granddaughter and her family were driving up from San Diego yesterday to Portland to spend Christmas with her mother.. As soon as it gets late enough for me to call, I need to check on them to be sure they made it safely. They have been stationed in VA for two years now, so my daughter can't WAIT to spend Christmas with them all!

So many places throughout the country have really dangerous weather conditions today. I am very comfy here, and, as I was getting dressed to head out to shop, I noticed how strong the wind is getting----blowing snow around here enough to cause whiteout conditions. I couldn't see out my back windows! Scratch the shopping trip for today! I am getting into wood-carrying clothing and bringing in some more wood! I will have to pick up a few things tomorrow in town rather than set out today. Sometimes the weather makes decisions for us so we don't have to even think about things!!!

Stay warm (or cool, in some cases!) and have a safe day wherever you are! We already have an inch of new snow since I posted the above picture!

Gooooood Morning Sistahs!!!!

Well no snow for us here in TN. And while at least the rain has stopped? It's soggy out there and the wind is blowing. It's a bit nippy out on the back porch.

Ohhhhh I slept until 8am this morning! But then again I didn't go to bed until a little after midnight. LOLOLOL

Today is the day to be in house cleaning mode. It's not really to awful bad tho. Kelly left work early yesterday cause she didn't feel good so I told her as long as she was going to be home she could get all the dishes done up, sweep the floors and clean off the table. She did actually get every dish done, she didn't even leave or forget a spoon! LOL Table is 3/4's done and while she did vacuum the couch off she didn't do the floors. So I will do them today and finish cleaning off the table. :o Then the wrapping can begin. Oh goodness I am not looking forward to doing that. I have no idea really on how the heck I'm gonna wrap David's cooler? It would be great if I could use the top and bottom of a banana box? But it just aint gonna fit. ~sigh~ I need to rummage around in the cellar to see if I have a box I can modify to fit the thing. I use to have boxes to fit just about anything cause I would save the blasted things. But I threw most every one of them all of them away. Went to WalMart and finished up getting the few presents we had left to get last night. Other than getting a couple of gift cards for the kids after I get paid on Friday? That's it. The kids were really hard to get for this year. I had to be careful on what I got Kelly cause of course it's got to be something she can use in an RV. No sense getting her something that she will only have to end up getting rid of in ?? a years time or so. David and Jenny?? Gads now that really was hard. They will be moving into their own place but the house they are going to be living in was a family members of Jenny's and no one really cleaned it out when that person passed away. So there is stuff left in the house that they can use. I haven't been over to see the place because of work so I have no idea what is there and what isn't. We will probably do our Christmas thing on Christmas Eve. Jenny has to work Christmas day and will probably want to go to her Mom's when she gets out of work. I have never been one to do a Christmas Dinner. I always figured that there was enough going on that day that I wasn't gonna bury myself in the kitchen cooking then cleaning up. I did use to do a big full Christmas breakfast.

Got to get busy on this place for now. Also have laundry to do and if I get the time I am gonna pull out my sewing machine and do a little sewing. :D I think I will be busy today!!! ;)

Hope everyone has a great day today and stays safe!!!

Love to all

good morning ladies, I've actually been up for about 4 hours but my computer decided
to do an update as soon as I logged on and its so frustrating trying to read the forum
while it does that. I got my coffee, little snack on started in on my day continueing
with my deep cleaning in prep for my sister's arrival (January). I am taking a break
to check in but as I look around I am amazed at what a mess I have made for myself!
The girls are trying to roughhouse and I've had to tell them to stop as they don't
have enough room to do any manuevering safely. The corner of the slide where the
dinette is got the carpet clean yesterday evening and I'm still trying to get it dry so
I can put everything back, then move on to the next area to clean the carpet. Pulled
out the dog kennels, ewwwww, the wall was so dirty! I couldn't believe it and my dogs
are clean, luckily no pee, phew. Crossing things off on my list as I get them done.
I get on a roll for a couple hours and then have to stop and take a breather.
So much snow all over today, everyone having a blizzard, and I'm sure enjoying
knowing I don't have to shovel any of it  I remember those days too well.
But it certainly is beautiful and especially with christmas lights on the house. Ok,
gonna grab another cup of coffee and a little beer bread? hmmm, gonna have to
do some researach for that recipe, it sounds good, especially the cream cheese
part

Morning all - winds and colder weather blew in here overnight. Went to dinner last night, came back and even I didn't need my sweater - got up to walk Peaches this morning and needed 2 sweaters! brrrrrrrrrrr - the wind just cuts right through ya. Going to be worse tomorrow, then we should start seeing warming on Tuesday, thank goodness. I know I know - I've become a wimp about the cold weather lol - but if I want winter, I'd head back up north where I expect it :)

Still working on that singles website today - then the Christmas party here tonight - didn't go to bingo last night cuz I had that dinner Zeee is so interested in LOL -

Have a great day everyone.

I guess I should say Good Afternoon to everyone. Got up late today as (oh poor me) the wind was blowing all night long. A warm wind. But we were rockin and rollin all night.
Sure hope everyone up north is okay - looks like winter is going to be nasty this year. Guess at our house in Indiana it is just plain NASTY - cold, windy and raining.
I kind of miss being home for Christmas - I have Santas I've collected all over for years - this is the first time they've spent in a box for the holidays. Mentioned (told) Bill I want to stay home till after the holidays next year.
It is pretty quiet here - no Gringos yet - the campground is hoping they will show up in Jan and Feb. Guess all the news of violence in Mexico and last summers gas prices are keeping everyone home.

Soosie I love your winter pictures. As much as I love to LOOK at snow I don't really want to be in it. I, too, slept in this morning. Like Beth's weather further south, I was wearing shorts yesterday and this morning it was 36 degrees. Put on my sweats and am going to curl up with a good book and my dogs.

Okay Beth spill!! How was the date? Inquiring minds want to know.

Am really starting to look forward to March and my trip to south Texas. Gonna spend a week in Port Lavaca on the beach then wander up and visit Beth and maybe Lori and Ernie then possibly on to visit Jill and Tommy. Speaking of Jill , where is Sunseeker? Let us all know how the job is going and how you like Brownsville.

Okay, off to walk the dogs. Brrrr.

Yep....shorts and a T-shirt yesterday.....jeans and a long sleeved shirt today.... As Beth said...the wind is blowing again and the weather bug says 45F....but it also states that Christmas Eve Day is to be 82F....Geez....the only good thing about this weather is nothing lays in the closet and cupboard very long as far as our clothes go.... It's either summer or winter clothes every other day or so.....

Waiting for the "date Report", too.... ;)

We just got back from feeding cattle this morning, had to drain the gray tank and about to fix dinner. It's 4 outside with a little wind but no new snow. It's too dry to snow right now. I see on the news lots of area really got dumped on!

Step-son-in-law sent us images from Seattle -- what a mess! But, everyone is outside playing in the snow like little kids! The last time we visited Seattle about this time of year they had a lot of snow. Then we sat in the hot tub on New Year's Eve in a snow storm!

I was going to post a couple of images to this message but photobucket is having trouble getting them loaded so -- later

Ok, a real brave photos, not because it was so cold and windy but because I look rather, well -- silly and fully in my natural mode. But hey...I was cozy, didn't get a bit cold...Oh how I love my insulated coveralls -- my covies!
