GOOD MORNING ALL!
I will be thinking of you this morning, Zee, as you glow once again! So sory you spent some time on a neat post only to have it zip into never neverland. I always highlight and copy mine now before I ever hit the submit button, just in case. The frusration of losing it all can feel like a needle in a balloon.
Paulette, I was so hoping to be able to meet up with you soon, but perhaps after your daughter becomes the educated adult you know she can become, you will be able to take to the roads again. I sure do hope you don't leave our group, RV, or not, as many on here are still looking, resting, contemplating, or whatever, and we love to hear from anyone who loves to camp and travel.
It's already up to 75 here this morning, and we may get sporadic showers as the day progresses. The weather says another very humid hot front is passing through the country, and that by Sunday we should be getting more possibly violent thunderstorms ahead of a cold front. Our temps are not to exceed the mid-80s, so our heat will be significantly less than in many other places.
Richard arrived yesterday with JJ (Jocko Junior, his little dog) and we went over the mountain to the free concert at Wilmington Beach last night. I got in touch with so many old friends over there who are now looking so elderly! Everybody but moi, but of course! I was told there is to be 40th reunion celebration of the Fantasy Farm this month! Fantasy Farm was the experimental hippy commune where the main building was a modified school bus, and the individual dwellings were various tents and shelters. At the time, I had my own tent in another neck of the woods, but I shared the many get togethers and revelry with the commune! Sigh---those were the days of hope, peace, and lordy knows what drugs!
This morning I am waiting for the washing-machine repair man as my brand new washer ( a GE) does not spin the clothes dry enough for my dryer unless I put them through another spin cycle....very annoying and if he can't remedy it, I want a different washer. My old machine spun the clothes quite dry, but this one leaves them dripping wet.
Guess I need to go inside and gather up a load of towels and other things to show him what I mean....just no dainties to have to haul out of the machine sopping wet!
Hope everyone has a fun day wherever you may be, and that you can stay cool enough to breathe easily. Kath, have fun on the golf cart!
