Postby Barbzeee » Thu Aug 02, 2012 5:30 am

Yes, I am Glimmering in to Thursday..and I might say I need too !...It's foggy here in Philly..you know that place on the East Coast...:)...Got up around 5am night sleep wasn't as great...but I blame that on my wonderful event of having a Stress Test.... My details are on my blog and there will be more to come cause I have to go back on Friday for the completion...LUCKY ME...

So I'm up and at em' but mainly only doing what I have too...cause I'm taking a break ...can't do laundry and it's starting to pile up but that will be resolved on Saturday...(PLEASE)...Then I just need to go out in the rig and make sure everything is ok run the sweeper..(pa term) Vacuum and maybe sit in her for a bit and pretend I'm parked somewhere..any where ..it does make me feel better...My Sanctuary ...LOL

Kathleen in answer to your question on what kind of pillow I have.. Honestly not sure myself..Hubby picked it up for me from Sam's Club says feathered..who knows but it's a firm pillow and WONDERFUL.. it really helped me sleep..I think because my others were in need of finding a better place to Hang Out ! :P

GetupnGo (Janice) will be gone as I saw her post on F B she is saying goodbye to some Electric Guy LOL...Janice don't ya just love it..lower prices in that glowing stuff hahaha..

Dawn, She and I have been Face Talking it..and it's been really a hoot cause..we have that sense of humor that blends..and by the way she is really doing pretty good getting it together ..step by step..and soon closing will happen and next thing ya know she'll be trucking down that highway.. psst and starting "new" projects..which by the way we kind of like this Cowl pattern...hint hint hint :)

Redwahine (Red) is heading out today from Maine and going WEST..Me thinks she said.."Iowa"..the corn belt..sad though what I heard on the news this morning Corn isn't doing too good...:(...but Red enjoyed those pictures and boy do I ever love Maine...and that New England Area..and food..mmmmm I'm getting hungry...Safe Travels to You !!

Lori and Ernie..are in Wyoming...right in the back yard of Lori's Sister..now you know folks they is gonna have some good time and catching up..and anyone who's ever been around them two..know you is in for a treat..and lots, and lots of laughs ! Have fun you two and remember this gang here is nosy and we want to see pictures...PLEASE !

Collemom.. (Sue) Hey gal, I'm so glad you are enjoying them trips and tours..I mean grab em all while you can..Hey, it's my pleasure to have you enjoy that cup a coffee with me.. I love making people laugh and smile ...it's just those simple pleasures sometimes we can't get hold of much...

Hey and to all.. I'm so happy you all were singing yesterday.. I mean nothing wrong with Glow Little Glow Worm..hahaha..and

BJ.... yes I too remember those tunes..but did you know that Zippity Do Da is no longer allowed...it is considered (not my doing or belief ) racial overtones..What's with that ?????? Because of the film that it came out of ????? DUH..

NaSoosie (Soos) Psst Got to say her "Rabbitts"...now I have to admit..I've never heard that before..but hey, if it works who am I to not say.."RareBits" LOL

Ok sorry if I left anyone out or forgot something..it's kind of like this... I have this heavy glow in my head and it's outshining my vision better than an ever ready battery hahaha.... Have a great one today and I'm so not looking for tomorrow as I finish that Stress Test with a little more Glowing Ember !! OY !!!!

I've got an apple strudel in the oven ready to come out with a huge pot of Perked Coffee..so those that care to indulge please join me as my table has been empty for awhile...

Those traveling Stay Safe and as always..God's Blessing Shine Down On All..

Zeee and her Critters 3 with an Evil Parrot..Medusa..(she didn't get that name for nothing )

Good morning from Wyoming.... :D Not enough coffee, yet, to write something long....but did want to give everyone a "Top of the Morning".....The guys are still sleeping...Both deserve to sleep in....Ernie, cause it was a stressful drive over the Big Horn Mountains and Spinner cause he played so hard with his "doggie cousins" last evening in this big yard.... ;) Don't know what we'll get into today...but I'll be ready..

Okay, gotta' get some more coffee....so have a great day, all....

Ah, Good Morning all,

Started my day with a "glow" here this morning too. Storm came through aruond 5:30 a.m. with a lot of lightning. Second time since Monday night. Seems like we get more lightning storms these days then actual thunder along with them. Was quite a show on Monday night. It's raining here right now as another line is moving through and the bigger stuff is just a bit north of me toward Gaylord I guess. Bulletins been going across the screen to keep an eye on these storms. Am grateful for the rain though as it's keeping us in good shape. Haven't had to do much watering at the neighbors this past week or so. May have to get back on the mower before long though.

Ah, we have the "Mornng News" from BarbZee this morning, so now i am caught up on the "local dope" on this forum. And also have my morning laughs. Good to start my day off with some laughs cause i don't get too many at work these days. It has unfortunately not been the greatest summer working under the new boss, but I am not going to go into details here. Suffice to say a lack of leadership, no follow throughs among other things and I am not planning to go back next year.

Zee, I love to take those tour and trips like that. When I turned 60, I spent my summer, on my days off, taking lighthouse cruises and other tours here and there. I know this is going to get Maggie all excited as she wants to do this and hopefully she will be able too, if she can get to her family reunion up here next year. I have also been considering heading over to Mackinac Island as well. Will see what happens here. Next weeks day's off or at least part of them, will be devoted to taking Tessa to vet, doing some shopping probably and also painting my deck, so I can get that done.

So, I am heading on out now, have to get ready to head back to the grind for another day. Don't know where it will lead. Have some work to do inside the buildings besides the normal cleaning. Need to get after the cobwebs and what not that form a minute after you clean them off. My one co worker is not having a good summer either as his wife had a heart attack in late May and they have been runing back and forth to the doctors and hospitals for tests and consultations ever since. Drs planned to do surgery to replace a defective valve but after lookng over the results of the most recent test, they determined that they can't do it as her veins are too small to go up through her groin area to replace the valve. So now they must wait again, to see if the drs. come up with something else that they can do. So he's been tense which is understandable.

Wishing all of you a great day. And Z, hope after all the tests you are getting, they come up with a solution so you can get in that rig and actually be sitting someplace else besides in your drive.

Morning! My last day to work this week. And my weekend plans have changed somewhat. I will be spending the weekend cleaning up the yard and getting the Land Dinghy ready in case we need to evacuate next week. The weather wienies are in a tizzie over the developing tropical systems coming off the coast of Africa. It will probably be a non-event but this far out, we can't take too many chances so I want to start doing some prep work.

I enjoyed Barbzee's commentary this morning!

Just had leftover banana pudding for breakfast - sorry, some things don't last long enough to share.

Morning everyone! I slept in again today. Fell asleep I my recliner last night and woke up about 5:15. Decided to take the dogs and go get in bed. Slept until 7:00. It sure felt good. Luke, Belle and I sure slept soundly in the recliner too! Rascal decided there just wasn't enough room for him on my chair too.

It looks like I am going to close on Monday or Tuesday next week. Talked to Laura, DD, in Alabama and she had still not called the title company back. Lady at title company called me yesterday afternoon to let me know she had still not called as of then. I know she had a doctor's appt, but she just needs to pick up the phone and schedule to sign. Had I known this was going to be an issue, I would have probated Chuck's will. I explained to her yesterday she is the hold up to the closing. I need in my MH and Matt needs to get the contractor in here. I am hoping I don't have to get on a plane and fly to Columbus to get her to sign. If she hasn't done it by tomorrow, looks like I will have to. Will have Title Company get a bonded notary to meet me and get the signature. The kids here are on standby to go sign when I close. Watching her face on FaceTalk yesterday, I realize this is really hard on her. It's another way she is having to say goodbye to her Dad. I get it. I go through it everyday while packing.

Speaking of packing, I better get dressed and get after that. Burning daylight!

Everyone have a wonderful day and if you are traveling, stay safe!

Good morning friends! Last week it was disco, this week 40's songs! I know all of those you mentioned BJ, I'll Be Seeing You always makes me a little sad! It's been six years and I still go thru periods of a few days every once in awhile of missing my husband. But enough of that! For the new people I don't think anyone explained the rabitts yesterday. I believe it was Soos gmother said on the first day of the month you must shout "rabbitts' first thing for good luck! As I said, I never knew this before joining this group. You all are so educational! Same as I never knew to eat black eyes peas on New Years until I moved to the south! Marslett, hugs and prayers to all your family. Barbie, safe journey as you are almost home. Im glad you had some fun on the way. Barb Z, you make my day. Hope your tests go well. I don't know know what Im going to do today ( seems I always say that) Its going to be maybe rainy off and on. Guess Ill get Pepper's yearly vet apt out of the way. Everyone have a safe and FUN day. Good morning from Kearney, NE. I am getting a slow start. Will be SO glad to finally get home! Will be home tomorrow afternoon! Yay! Then check out my new place and get moved in before starting work on Monday. My MN license is now renewed and active!

Had a couple intense storms roll thru last night. Lots of lightning and thunder which I love! And lots of rain which they need desperately around here! They say this area is the dryest it has been since the dust bowl days! Wow!

I missed the jacuzzi last night. Went down just after 9pm only to find it closed. They close it at 10pm but I forgot to switch my watch to Central Standard time. Oh well, took a hot shower and went to bed. They serve waffles in the mornings so I got a half one for breakfast and now will pack up the car and cat and get a move on. 5 hours on the road today, and 4 hours tomorrow. Yesterday's 6 hours was pushing it for me.

Have a great day!
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)

GOOD MORNING SISTAHS!!!

Zee, I sure have missed your morning news recap!!! Can't help but smile when you bounce into the morning coffee room and get it shaking and moving!

Today will be my first day back to work. YUCK!! I am not looking forward to it at all. I am on the schedule to be in the dish hole for the next 4 nights from 1pm to close, so that means that I wont get home till about 10pm. It's Dollywood Nights time and the park stays open till 10. The restaurant gets to close at 9pm but then we have to clean up which takes about an hour. Hopefully I wont have to be doing that for much longer.

Have not done a blasted thing with moving this morning. I just could not get my motor running this morning. Went to bed last night and when the alarm went off after 8hrs I reset it and slept even longer. I feel like I've been dragged thru a knot hole backwards more than once or twice! I am so glad that we don't have a real deadline to get this all done and us moved!!! Was gonna stick my head in the sink this morning but I don't have any dishes left here in the old trailer. So that means that I have nothing to put water in to be able to wash my hair. ~sigh~ I need to get my laundry around cause Kelly is gonna go do hers and mine today while I am at work. As much as I hate doing laundry at the laundromat I would sooooo much rather do that then go in and do dishes! ;)

OK, enough rambling, gonna go do a little reading. Hope that ya'll have a really great day and that you do everything safely.

Love to all

Morning All, wow lots of postings today. Thought I would add my 2 cents worth.

I am still camping and sitting outside listening to the river run. The spot I moved to I hear the rush of the rapids much louder. It is very quiet out here this morning, everyone must be sleeping in. I am sitting outside having my coffee and enjoying the solitude as I have to head back home on Monday.

My job today is to wash all the inside windows. I washed the front windows on the Motorhome and that was a big job. Dang big windows, BUT my view is much clearer now ha ha

I wanted to stay an extra few days as there is a heat wave hitting my house in Southern Oregon this weekend, I hate it when it gets over 100. If it reaches 104 as predicted it will be the first time we have broken 100 in 2 years. BUT I want to miss it. So in order to stay I have to move again HA HA I am getting lots of practice with my backing. However these spots are very wide and easy to back into soooo no whining here. I am just happy they had a spot for me.

Have been watching everyone's progress On the Road, Destuffing, Packing, Mini GTG's, and everyone seems to be moving right along no matter what they are doing. Well enuf rambling, I am off to reload on the coffee and watch the river and the sun come over the mountain.

Karen, glad you get to stay the extra days, these 100 degree plus days are no fun and we've had them for most of the summer. But at least it hasn't been 115 like it was in Tulsa!!
Barbie, I'm like you 4-5 hour days are long enough! I know you and Lola will be glad to get settled.
Echo, have you checked in with a doctor lately? I don't know what you usually eat but diet can really make a difference in how you feel. My cousin has stopped eating beef and switched to mostly vegetables & fruit with occasional fish and chicken & it really made a difference. My eighty three year old neighbor who had a walked with a cane his two miles a day, switched to no meat, fish or dairy and no longer needs the cane. Didn't take too long to see the improvement either and I'm sure it helped that he had a new girl friend who also eats that way  It takes a little getting used to for that extreme of a change but I would think it worth a try from the way it sounds like you have been feeling for so long.
Wendy you can sing with me and Nancy since you also know all the songs from the forties!

Good Morning ladies... wow it took me forever to read and read and read everyone's post... I am still here in my GF's yard it is very cloudy and the air is heavy this morning... that may mean some rain is coming...

I know how it is when the dogs run Lori... Shadow runs up and back and up and back so much here in T's yard... he loves to try and catch the rabbits...
I did not get up until 11 this morning as I was up in the night with bad pain... I found some old flexerl and took one... at last I was able to sleep...

Not much on the docket for today... will fix dinner and take a long long ride with T on the golf cart after she waters the plants...

Thanks for all the goodies here in the coffee room... all I have is coffee to offer...

Maggie, I hope the tropical storms are a non-event. We should know this time next week what they are going to do. We have a lot of junk in the yard that needs to find a home. My son must have done some cleaning in the old storage container because everything isn't piled in the door. That's the way my DH puts things away. I should see if I can get another trash container. Every week I try to fill it up but some weeks we have more trash than container and they will only pick up what's in the container.

I went to Lafayette yesterday and the air conditioner in my van isn't working very well in stop and go traffic. I hate to have to bring it in. Means a day sitting in the waiting room or having to find someone to go get me and bring me back. My DH had me on a quest for a certain kind of razor. They must have quit making them because no place has them. He is good at that. The world doesn't run the way he thinks it should.

I decided I needed a hair cut this morning but can't get in until Tuesday. Guess I'll have to fix it myself today.

Karen - I can remember two years ago thinking we were going to the PNW where it was going to be a lot cooler - HA! It's was hotter in Portland than what we left in Houston - well over 100. I remember being at the Portland Zoo and it was 104. At least when we went to Mt. Hood, it was almost a blizzard it was snowing so hard!
