They can both write their names, can you believe that?
No, well then let's just say that they approved of their names
being in the picture.

Welcome Carol B. We hope you stay close to our group. We are quite alot more laid back than RVing Women. I have learned so much from this forum and quite honestly without it I would never have made the bold step toward fulltiming. The thought that I might actually live in an RV for the remainder of my life is an exciting one and I wish all this confusion I'm living in while downsizing would miraculously disappear and I could be sitting out under my awning after taking a walk with Rudy gazing at a beautiful vista or lake with my favorite beverage in one hand and my book in the other. Keep in touch with us and we do love to help you shop.
Leslie are you kittens baby dolls? They look so much like my daughters.

Boy Howdy, Nancy, I want all this to be over too and sit under my awning feeling the breeze off a lake! Signed my contract on the farm today. Hopefully will close and get funding next week. Then MH and finish moving out of house. Told Matt today I needed a week from funding to get out of the house completely, then have to get Mom out of hers and into MH.

LOL! I'm so ignorant when it comes to websites! The most I do on my computer is to email friends. Okay, got it! I'm A-Okay with anything FREE!!! And I'm definitely not a "structured" person! ;) so RVing Women is probably not for me. You guys seem so relaxed--that's my style....Thanks for pointing out the difference.....Okay, also ignorant to RV lingo! I've learned "rig," "toad," "genny," "boondocking" (I think that's it), and I now understand "Onan" vs other gennies! Any of you want to educate me on additional terms I should know??? :) Might make me seem more knowledgeable when dealing with a salesman! OR, anyone in the Utica, NY area that might be willing to shop with me, as one of you suggested????? ...BTW, I'm putting away my laptop for a day or so--making my 15 hour drive back to Frankfort NY tomorrow, and won't be online til Sat ....looking forward to hearing from any of you! Have a great Friday! 8-)

Dawn - be sure you allow enough time that if there are any issues with the PDI (pre-delivery inspection) of the MH, you have time to get them fixed BEFORE signing on the dotted line. It's just like a new home - it's a lot easier to get the punch list items taken care of before you take possession rather having to deal with warranty issues later. And yes, there probably will be issues - hopefully, nothing major... but if you ever read rv.net stories, some of the PDI's can be eye-opening.

Speaking of PDI, make sure they show you how to operate every single system, including the tanks. You want to take notes or better yet, take a video recorder. They throw so much information at you in a relatively short amount of time. I know there were several times afterwards, Mark and I would look at each other and go "now how did he say to do that?"

Another warm welcome, Carol B!!!1 Glad Beth put the "B" cause Carol is a very popular name here.... ;) The Sultan (you'll read about him here and there.. ) and I have been full-timing for 8 yrs. and love it!!! We go "way back" here on this forum and consider these gals part of our family....Lots of info on this "way of life", rigs, (we have a 5er which is a 5th wheel camper "Hauled" behind a truck) and other great things about Rving....By all means, go check out the GTG Section for any "somewhat planned" gatherings coming in the future and see what fun we have when we do "find each other"just driving down the road....Ask away with questions...Oh, heck, just jump in anywhere, anytime....We're nosy, love pictures, and can be "wild and crazy" bunch... ;)

I will do that. I already saw a couple minor things I told them needed to be fixed. Also, the day you take possession, they have all day classes on all the systems. I will be doing videos too. Thank you!
