One of My Vacation Pics - Done My Way

Postby Sandersmr » Wed Jul 25, 2012 10:58 pm

Before I went back to school, I was really involved in digital scrapbooking - digiscrapping. I don't do paper and bits scrapbooking but love digiscrapping - no mess, no fuss when I'm done and storage is a breeze. I do print out some of the scrapbooks when created for special reasons.

It's slow going for me because I have lost all of my skill in using Photoshop and having to get that back as well as building my stash back up. I still need to organize everything because I replaced my laptop while going to school. So a lot of my stuff is scattered in my folders and I need to get it all back together.

But here is an example of what I do. This is my niece and we were at a lavender farm between Petoskey and Charlevoix in Michigan.

That is really pretty! I don't know a thing about digital scrapbooking but I'd like to learn more. Where do you get the templates to create beautiful pages like you showed in your example?

There are dozens of digital scrapbooking sites. http://www.digishoptalk.com is a site that's a showcase of sorts for all kinds of information on digiscrapping. This particular template came from a designer at The Lily Pad and the kit is from a dear scrapping friend at Digital Scrapbook Artisan Guild. I also like a number of other sites and am the process of trying to find a new digiscrapping "home".

Wow, really nice. And it doesn't take up a bunch of space in a closet. Great for travelers and full-timers.

It is a good hobby to take on in an RV....fits most anywhere. :) You have a source for wonderful gifts and cards and books. The quality of paper and printer could really make it stand out! Nice.

This is really neat Maggie - thanks for sharing. I have done and given hard back photo books (with photos I have taken along the way) on my computer for memorable occasions. People love and cherish them and wonder how I got them in books. I have also received a few of these books and they are so special. Going to check out the website you shared.
