More from South Dakota

This area is absolutely beautiful. These pictures are from the Needles Highway Drive. You go through several of the small tunnels. Believe it or not, they take tour buses through them. The donkeys are wild and really tame. The minute you stop your car they are right there to be fed. Roll your window down and they put their entire head inside. I, of course, had to get out and get up close and personal. The weather has been wonderful - mid 80's and in the low 60's at night. We've had several short thunderstorms in the afternoon which makes everything cool for sleeping. Have had a fire near Pringle, about 40 miles from here and they closed 385 for a time which is our route home. Wouldn't it be awful if we had to stay longer!!!!

Great pix Karen. That donkey looks like he would be nice enough to take home. You are brave that's for sure. Glad you are enjoying South Dakota. I loved it there.

Love that you are enjoying your travels and comfortable going places like the Needles Highway. And beautiful weather in SD is a big plus too!
