Sat and another warm up!

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Sat and another warm up!

Postby dayspring39 » Sat Jul 21, 2012 7:55 am

Good Morning... a wonderful cool start this morning... 68 inside... but that is to be short lived as the temps will be in the 90s today...
I am feeling much stronger this morning... I know it is short lived but gradually all will be better... the z pak I got is 5 days and it says it is stronger than 30 days of regular anti-botics... so powerful stuff...
Today I will run the vacuum and clean thing up... have been wiping things down with clorox wipes as they will keep the germs at bay...
The wood needs cleaning but that can wait!
I hope you all have a wonderful day... drink much water...

Good morning all. We are hitting the road for short trip up to Navasota. DH wants to go to the gun show they are having as part of their town fair. Don't think we need any more guns to our already bulging arsenal  I'm looking forward to seeing a new place :D

Carol - try to take it easy. Those zithromycin (z pack) really do a good job of kicking the bug, but hard on your liver. Drink lots of water and rest even though you're feeling better. :)

Hold up there, Kathleen. You are just starting to feel better. Don't over do it!

Slept late this morning. Woke up at 5 as usual, then decided to roll over and go back to sleep. Felt strange to wake up and it already be almost 7:00. I am thinking of doing a little shopping for my new coach today. Nothing major, just want to get new comforter set to take place of the ugly one in the coach. That way, when I get it home, the first thing I can do is make up my bed. If I have a place to sleep, I can figure where everything else is going to go one box at a time. The bed already has a pillow top mattress, but may want to get a 4" foam topper for that. I will know after a couple nights on that one.

It's going to be about 105 here today again. Next week cooler, just 98-99.

Everyone have a wonderful day and if you are traveling, stay safe.

good morning ladies
Kathleen..yea for the z pack, although when they gave me that for my pneumonia I couldn't do the cough syrup, made me throw up.
just another regular saturday here, that means laundry. One more week of summer school and then a few days off before the
new routine. Route bid is the 1st, and meeting on the 3rd and another one on the 6th and then school starts the 8th. I'm happy.
Another year closer to retirement.
Dogs are still sleeping but they will be up soon enough wanting breakfast so I best get my reading done and get ready for my day.
Ya'll have a good one and be safe on the roads.

GOOD MORNING ALL!

Kath, please, please do not rush into doing too much----give your body a chance to rest and recover. It is good to hear you are feeling better, BUT-----do not push too soon. The dirt can wait.

I see it is still very hot elsewhere. It dropped to 40 last night here, and is now just 62 degrees F.-----again I have to say how lucky I feel to live here in the mountains where there seems to be a pocket of comfy summer weather making my heart leap each time I awake.

Today will be dump day for me, and I did not mow yesterday as I had planned as the lawn is not too high and is still very dry. I believe it will give it another day and not scalp it until we get some more rain. That frees me up for other things, like (shudder) "destuffing" more places in the house. I tried to find some values for my antique wrist watch collections yesterday, to no avail. All my models of the famous name-brands are not listed or pictured. Guess I need to find a jeweler, or sombody who knows watches, to help me. But it's too nice outside to spend my time inside----see how I can find any excuses for not destuffing??!!

Hope you all have a nice day doing something fun and/or satisfying.
Life is about learning to dance in the rain
Happy travels!

GOOD MORNING SISTAHS!!!

Gonna be warm and humid today again here. It was so bad yesterday that everyone was saying you could cut it with a knife!!! I know when I stepped outside it felt like stepping into a sauna!, temp right now says 74, suppose to be 82 today and the humidity is at 84%. Yuck!

It's getting closer and closer to Tuesday and my day of leaving for TX. Have a few things to do and get done before that day. But the excitement is building for sure. I was telling Dawn that it's a toss up as to who is more excited about getting the trailer home, me or Kelly. I do believe that she is gonna call dibs on getting the first shower in our new working shower!! I do have to admit that it will be great to have a shower that works and we wont have to worry about trying to get clothes on a damp sticky body as soon as we get out. ;)

Am not looking forward to going into work today. I am in the dish hole tonight and the next 2 also. I am gonna be the only regular dishwasher on tonight as the other 2 have tonight off. One of the kitchen guys who use to do dishes will be filling in. ~sigh~ When that happens they wash and I do the rest of it. Which is what usually happens anyway even when the other 2 do work.

OK, gonna go read and catch up. Hope everyone has a great day, has lots of fun and remembers to be safe.

Love to all

Everyone seems so busy today, I feel inadequate looking at my to-do list. We're caught up on the garden chores and the canning. Yesterday I picked and put up 6 pints of our green beans. The cherries are all done, the raspberries are producing just the right amount to keep fresh in the fridge, the onions are either nestled in their panty hose, frozen in chunks for later use or donated to neighbors. So there is a reprieve until the tomatoes ripen. I do have a pair of valances for a customer in Norway to finish up so I can ship Monday -that's my big to-do list! Mary's working on a 1000 piece puzzle and we're keeping an eye on the British Open (golf). Supposed to be in the mid 80's today (and most of the week), the weather has been fantastic. OH! we got our thunderstorm a couple nights ago -big boomers, lightning, heavy rain and hail the size of rock salt! I was worried for the Admiral, she's sitting out in the elements but no damage. Blueberry pancakes, bananas, sausage and coffee for breakfast -anyone want to join us?

Feeling lazy this morning, but will have to get over that soon! Have tons of sorting and packing to get to today!

I am finally done with work! Yay! I got a hug from the GM yesterday and a beautiful faux orchid plant from the new asian gal. It will match perfectly with the new bedding I ordered! She is SO sweet!

I bought a smaller carrier for Lola last night that will fit in the front seat, so will free up more space in the back seat. I like having her up front with me, and I think she will like that better too. Will try it out today and take her for a little ride in awhile.

Gotta start planning my route back to MN too. I will probably go up thru Colorado.

Gotta get my butt out of bed and get moving here! Have a great day!
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)

We arrived in Valdez yesterday and will go on the boat tour with Beth today. She has the next 3 days off.

The drive to Valdez was beautiful - particularly liked the waterfalls. Watching the sea lions dine on salmon was a hoot!

Prayers and good wishes for all of you with health issues!

Hooray Barbie I know you feel better already to be done with that crazy 'clip' joint!

Paulette it's late but if you have any of that yummy breakfast left I'd take some!! Your garden sounds wonderful, maybe I'll just come park near-by for awhile. If I could make like Samantha and wiggle my nose I'd be there but alas ...
It is beautiful out today, morning started at 68!!! It's upper eighties now but low humidity. We needed a break I was about to loose it being cooped up during the day time. I went to the Farmer's Market and bought a Strawberry/Rhubarb pie from the Amish ladies and it is soooo good!! Their pie crust is just how I like it and homemade of course. We took half of it over to my brother to keep us all from eating too much. He has improved so much this week and was sitting outside, had also been able to walk out to see his horses! The tumor (benigh)they removed from his head was the size of an egg! Between that scar and the one on the other side where they had to go in to repair a bleed after he fell a year ago chasing his horses that got out, his head looks like a road map. I told him to shave off what hair he had a buy a Harley
My shower attachment stopped working yesterday so I'm waiting for DH to get back from the store with a new one, hope he remembers to gets one with the really long hose attached as I bathe all the dogs in my tub. Always something!

Hey Red - there is a gun show on my side of town this weekend, just sayin!!!! If you were to come down tomorrow, I know I could catch up with you. Today, I went to IKEA to get a new sofa for the S&B. It was 98 when we came out. We got the box home, out of the truck and around back, then Mark pooped out. I think he got way too hot. He has to work tomorrow the we will put the sofa together - that's the fun of IKEA - yeah right. But with him being out, I will be at loose ends - well except for the laundry and the filthy house and downloading the vacation pictures and trying to scrap some of them and...
