Good Happy Thursday to you all! Glad to see you up and about, Barb....so much nicer than trying to come into this kitchen when it's dark and lonely!

Temperature is perfect for winter weather this morning....24 comfortable degrees---with light snow falling on what we already had. The drive to school yesterday morning was a horror....plows hadn't tackled the roads yet, and we had a good 4 inches of new snow over pure black ice. 35 mph all the way to school. I always worry about the other cars coming around corners if they are traveling too fast to correct their spins, but everybody was well-behaved yesterday!

Coffee is good, Barb....and with tomorrow being pay day, I will be able to afford to bite the bullet (almost literally?) and buy me some biscotti to try!!

I don't think I have ever seen a lamp prettier than the one Sparkle made....I have saved the picture of it to my album of screen saver pics! So much talent on here, from afghans to rugs to baby clothes to lamps and more. Sort of makes me feel like a klutz in the crafts area!!

Gotta run now...thanks for the coffee and update, Barb. Hope we all have a super Thursday-before-Christmas.

Love to all from me and Molly

Happy travels!

Goooood Morning Sistahs!!!

Oh yeah I'm up. Wish I was back in bed tho! I am so looking forward to January and hoping that they don't continue the mandatory overtime past the first of the year. If they do? I just might curl up in a corner and cry. I don't mind overtime but gads when there's so much of it, it sure wears a body out. I would still work some extra hours but not to the extent that I am working now. I forget exactly how many hours I have right now but it's just under 100. By time the pay period is over I will have close to 120hrs I think?? I will have to check and make sure then I will let ya'll know. They now have a contest going for the overtime. Depending on how many overtime hours ya have you get tickets and they will have a drawing on Christmas eve for MP3 players, Xboxes, TV's and I can't remember what else. But to get into the drawing in the first place you have to have at least 10hrs of overtime on the book. The more overtime hours you have the more tickets you will get with your name on them.

Yep we got some talented sistahs in this forum. But then again ya aint got to be into the arts and crafts to be talented! Nope!!! Just being a woman is it's own special talent! ;)

Got my coffee well in hand, going on my fourth cup this morning and got some Chips Ahoy soft chewy chocolate chip cookies sitting here too.

Well I scoot off to go check my email, lottery ticket and get my comic fix. If'in I hit the power ball I'll come back and let ya'll know. LOL Sure would like to hit it for a decent amount!!! There's a RV dealer in Knoxville going out of biz and of course there's a Camping World down there too. Boy oh boy, could I have a blast!!!!

Hope everyone has a great day and remembers to stay safe!

Love to all

ps. wonder if i beat Cedar this morn?

Good morning all. Barbz, good to have you start the morning. We are leaving today with the MH and toad to take it on its maiden voyage and heading to NC for Christmas with the gks. So leaving this beautiful weather and hoping for some cold, but no snow, for the holidays. Last time we did this trip with our Class C, it broke down in Gainesville and we had to leave it and take the toad the rest of the way. I'm expecting smooth sailing on this trip.

We just downloaded Skypes and I "talked" with my sister in Italy. What a hoot. You can't get away with anything. Guess I'll have to brush my hair and look presentable now. My son and DIL have it too, so it will be great to be able to see the gk's when I call on the computer. Ain't technology great!

OK, need to aread some more posts, drink more coffee, and close down shop. Only 7 more days. carold

Could NOT sleep last night. Was posting at 2.45. Finally got in a couple of hours. Why is it in the early hours all the bad thoughts come rushing in? Past, present and future! However the sun is coming up, I'm meeting Beth, going to Mexico, and all is well again. I didn't know we had a crafts section! But then I didn't know we had a book section until Beth pointed it out. I have a lot of catching up to do!

Good morning to all. I did my exercise, took clothes out of dryer, and am trying to convince myself to do something useful with the rest of the day....kinda laaazzzy, huh? Will procrastinate awhile longer while I see what's new here. Hope you all have a great day.

Good morning ladies. Always glad to see Zeee in her kitchen. Its warmish and foggy here this morning. Going to take some xmas things (women's bath products, etc and toys) to the women's shelter today. Other than that, not much going on in my life right now - just trying to get thru the holidays which for some reason always kinda depress me. Rented the movie Mama Mia yesterday. It was okay. Always seem kind of disappointed in movies they hipe really hard. Well, gotta go walk the dogs. Everyone out there have a great day.

Good morning ladies. We have a warmer (22 degrees) morning with clouds and snow on the way! It will only be flurries but much colder air will settle in from the frosty north. We'll be back to sub-zero. A load of propane arrives tomorrow so we should be good for at least another month to 6 weeks.

I've not had time to post photos of our pets or anything else. I have packages that need to be wrapped, firewood to cut and some cattle to move around. Winter is sometimes busier than summer. And that's ok. I like to get out in the morning and move around.

So, I'll sign off for now ~~ Shell

Good morning from Mexico! - Right now the sun is out but last night we had a rain storm and earlier there was quite a bit of wind. It seems to have stopped now. Will be leaving later this a.m. for Bahia de Kino about 1 hour away.
Just saw the news there is 8 inches of snow in the Las Vegas valley. Wow - glad we got out of there - they've got more snow than Indiana. Going to call our son and laugh at him. One of our granddaughters lives in the mountains outside of LA and they got 30" of snow yesterday - !!!
Got a call from our contractor back in IN - he got the leak in the roof of our house fixed. Says it didn't do any damage a little paint won't fix - thank goodness.
See you all tomorrow - if we have internet - when we were there 2 years ago they had wi fi and Bill could get it on his computer but my laptop wouldn't pick it up....wonder what will happen this time.

You can sure tell when Barb is in her kitchen, the gang really shows up. :D Everyone else does a great job, but the festive pics and the recap, just makes you have to at least say hi, no matter the time of day. Nice to see so many here and hear of the plans for the day. When ambition slacks off here, I just tune in here and either feel guilty of how lazy I am or pick up some enthusiam to go on and have a good day. So Thanks everybody and hope your day is great too, in spite of weather or whatever.

Take care and stay safe

I'm coming in before I collapse in bed - we had a long day today - and I'm gonna bet Sparkle is already sound asleep. Was very foggy with a light rain almost the entire ride to MX today - but we were in luck - it stopped just before we got there - and we had a wonderful day there. I'm sure if she hasn't already, you'll be finding MX pics from Sparkle later.

I have 4 temporary crowns in my mouth - 2 on either side - and am going to be babying them - cuz I sure don't want any or all of them falling out for Christmas or New Years :)

One of the best things of our MX trips - is stopping on the way back at one of the fruit stands. Last week we brought back a large bag of grapefruit to share - they are so yummy. This week we brought the large bag of oranges. Oh, I had planned to buy the tangelos - one of the workers cut one in 1/2 and gave each of us 1/2. But then he cut an orange in 1/2 - and it was even better - so we got that instead.

Zeee, I figured you would catch that about my date - well, it didn't happen - as the fog rolled in early - and it just wasn't a good night for driving so we canceled.

ok - off to check out the rest of the board (yep, the rooms Sparkle was ignoring till I pointed out we have a book room, etc - and now she's hooked - before I think she kept herself to only a couple rooms - how dare she!!!!

Oh, Sparkle might be telling you a story about me and toilet paper - do not believe a word she says.
