Blog - Sharon, orcas and humpbacks

The past week, including Sharon's visit:

A post highlighting the orcas and humpbacks on yesterday's cruise:

Like Liz and Tina's posts - and their awesome trip - and Tina posting being told what they see doesn't happen everyday - I can attest to that. And to see breaching and the orcas in the same cruise - they are very, very lucky. And I'm glad that happened for them.

I am so grateful I go out as often as I do - because I know I'll see it all over the course of time, but I also know it's awesome even when I don't see everything on each cruise. The beauty here in Alaska is simply breathtaking - as it is in so many other places - but here - well, I can't say enough about it. I'm so glad the ladies had such a wonderful cruise. In our case - our cruise because we stay and stay when we find something good - has no definite "be back time" - so our cruise went to about 8 1/2 hours yesterday. No complaints from anyone on board. IN fact, if we'd stayed even long with the orcas or the breaching whale, I think they'd have not complained.

Beth, I never tire of the whale photos! I am going to get up there someday, that's a promise to myself.

Thanks for posting to share with us. So glad you had fun with Sharon.
