GOOD MORNING SISTAHS!!!

Well it' s Monday for me at any rate!!! Just a quick brief one this morning as I have to be on the clock by 7am. But first I need to get dressed and stop off at the bath house to stick my head in the sink. Could do it here but it would only wake up Kelly and make her grumpy.

Is I dry in your little corner of the world? Not here! Took Shade out to P and it's raining again. Makes me really mad at myself that it's raining! I left my *&^%(# at work Monday when I left. Grrrrrr So now I will have to separate the pole/handle on my beach umbrella and use that. I am not gonna walk in the rain in my dress and get soaked then have to work in it. NOPE!!

As long as it's raining I'm hoping for a light day but with my luck we will get slammed!

Goody morning all. Thunder, lightening.....lightening and thunder, oh yeh, RAIN. The house walls and shelves rattle with the thunder. We are floating away. 5 inches yesterday and in just the past hour another 2. Flash flood warnings. Have to keep pumping the pool out cause the pressure of the water overflowing will take off the edge/rim stones. This is all new to me. It rains in Hawaii, but gentle with rainbows. Seldom, if ever a real storm. I enjoy sitting at the big window watching the lightening. There is so much energy in these storms.

Poor Tyler, he needeD to go out so bad. He was whining and fusing to go out. I opened the door and he backed up. "No Way" Then a few minutes latter he is doing the "potty dance". I open the door and he starts to run out and stops and looks up at me as if I actually expected him to go out. So I walked out under the patio cover with him and sat in a chair. He sat, then started to go out, but went back the door and barked. I then took him by the collar and walked him out into the rain and he took off to his favorite tree, did his business and came back in, ran to his bed and hasn't budged since. I am so much more indulgent with my dog than any of my kids

Try to stay dry, cool or warm, which ever the case mey be. Those traveling please stay safe.

Good Morning !!! I am finally out of Kansas, I used to know how many miles each road across the state was, that was so discouraging I let it slip from my mind. (along with several other things ). There are beautiful areas in it and yesterday my route brought me through a big part of that beauty.

Tuesday was a bad day, so not many miles that day. One med I'm taking has side effects ,so take another med to not have these side effects, well it didn't work Tues. I want off of all this crap ! Sorry, But Tues was no fun.

I am with my husbands oldest son (step sounds so ugly to me) I've always referred his 3 as mine. He and his family are moving to Mo. And he is here taking care of business for that move. So I will have a day or so visit with him. Always makes my heart feel so good when I get such a warm greeting , as I did yesterday.

So I will have a break from driving , I did enjoy my travels yesterday. There is just something about being out on the road again , I am loving it !!, Enjoy yourself today , Zeee, I know just how you feel. Stay Safe all that are traveling today, watch out for that lightening,Red, being in front of a picture window is not a safe place.

@Echo--Sure hoping for an easy day for you. I want to see a pic of you in that dress too. May be the only chance we ever get to see you in a dress. Even if it is a granny dress. If you get that job at Walmart, you'll be back in pants.

@Red--Been seeing on the news how much rain you've been getting down there. We've only had a couple showers and it will be this weekend before we have a 20% chance of more showers. Don't float away. We are always more indulgent with our fur babies. The girls used to get onto Chuck to tell him he let the dogs get away with so much more than them. He would tell them it was because they didn't talk back!

Luke has Vet appointment today for his shots. His allergies seem to be bothering him too so will find out what I can give him on the road between vet visits. Hope there is something OTC. His is the last set of medical records I need copy of for my file to keep in MH.

I am getting very impatient to be finished with all this packing and trashing. House is sure emptying out and then will need to start on the outbuildings. Have decided to go ahead and pack the sewing room into the buckets. Have a couple unfinished projects, but can pick them up and finish them when get on the road. Have some ideas of wall hangings I want to do for the bathroom in MH. I am so decorating the MH in my mind!

Good Morning... wow we sure have early birds here... another very dry hot day here in Lansing... they have not had rain in forever... so badly needed...

My tooth root is now a memory... it came out so easily that the dentist took off $100 from the bill... it wound up to be $170 with the x-ray... no pain this morning...

It sure sounds like all of you ladies are moving right along on the road and packing! So glad things are going good for you CArol... Ah Dawn enjoy the sorting and packing and getting rid of things... this too is a part of life... Barbee glad you are about to be out of the Fl heat...

Dawn when you posted what your new MH looked like the page came up with many on it... which one is it??

We would gladly take some of your rain Red & Echo! The lawns around look like late September and on the way to the store yesterday I saw people out raking leaves instead of mowing grass. Our yard hasn't needed mowing in months!
Carol if you pass this way would love to see you! So glad you could meet up with your son for a visit. Zeee have a restful trip home, hope the weather is good. So glad your dentist visit went well Kathleen and you aren't in pain. Dawn, did you start the new dog food yet, probably a little early though to tell if it is helping ? You can give Benadryl to keep the itching down. I don't know how big your dog is but the dose for a 70 lb dog is 50 mg 3 x per day or 75 mg twice a day.
I have been doing some retail therapy on eBay, found some great shoes. One was a make and offer so I made a really low one and was surprised & happy to have it accepted.

I really think I can kayak in the drainage ditch that is now a lake. It is still pouring...now 6" water covering all 3 acres. At least it is not hot








P.S. I figured out how to use the photobucket app on iPad to post pix to the forum using my iPad. Really easy. Just need to figure out how to make pix smaller using the app. Who needs a computer any more???

Wow, Red...I do believe you could kayak in that ditch. We have had some rain but still not nearly enough. You girls talking about your Ipads has me thinking about one too. This is not a good time to learn something new, too much other stuff going on. Dawn, you amaze me. I know downsizing for you is a bigger job than mine and while packing and sending things off with your daughter you are working on decorating the TT for Echo and playing with the Ipad too.

OK, you eastern girls can just take back your heat and humidity!!!! The high pressure system that we're dealing with came from your direction. The 105 a few days ago wasn't bad, I can deal and the swamp cooler kept the house at a very comfortable 78. But today? 95 with 50% humidity, cloudy and a few sprinkles. We're just not used to that kind of humidity here in SoCal and I don't like it, not one bit. I deal with it when I come your way and don't whine to much, but it's just to much to ask a body to put up with here! Swamp coolers don't work with humidity, they just put more moisture into the air. Needless to say, I've passed glistening and am well into just plain sweating.

Other than that, dealing with a few issues here before I can get on the road. Have stuff piled everywhere that needs to go in Hope. I just might get out of here on Tues and if I do I think Evie (Pooker) is gonna be in Laughlin. If so, that would be a good place to spend the night instead of Kingman. Refrigerator is cleaned out, laundry for the most part is done, house is almost clean....well, as clean as it's gonna get. No sense in getting crazy about dusting, this place is gonna look like Oklahoma during the dust bowl by the time I get back in Nov.

I'm sure getting tired of this rain too. At least we haven't had as much as Houston. I went to the dentist this morning and there were several hard rains before I got out of Lafayette. There was one big lightening strike beside the road that made me jump. It's a good thing I was in the outside lane and it was across the road from me. The radar shows rain from here all along the cost of Texas down to Corpus and more forecast for tomorrow.

I know I'm a bad typist but this computer is changing my words. It will pick a word that isn't even close to what I'm trying to type.

Sharon, I will second that on the humidity! Altho, it is a little cooler down here than where you are. Only in the upper 80's, so a little more tolerable. I guess I better get used to it. I will be living with the heat and humidity a lot before too long here!

Only worked 4 hours today but got really good tips! All those are going in the bank right now.

Got the boxes to start packing up my books in. Gonna go thru my clothes and/or books tonight if I can.

They finally finished the landscaping here at the condos. Looks like a jungle around here! Lots of palm trees and huge Birds of Paradise all over. Not much color anymore tho. Took out most of the flowering shrubs and plants. The giant Birds of Paradise don't have pretty flowers either. The big blossoms are just white instead of orange. Used to have lots of hybiscus, lillies and bougonvillas all over.
