JudyJBs New Motorhome

Hope this works, but here are some photos of my new home:

Here is Sue at Mackinaw near the rear slide:

And Sue and me next to then sign she made:

And the front slide:

Starting from the front, here is the cabover queen bunk bed:
Image
And the kitchen:
Image
I removed the front dinette and replaced it with my comfy recliner:
Image
In the back, there is a dinette that converts to a set of bunks:
Image
In this photo, my son and two grandkids are in the bunk configuration:

The bathroom looks like this:
Image
And the shower is here. It is a bit tight to get into or out of, but works fine:
Image
I replaced the ugly gold comforter that came with it with this one I like much better:
Image
One advantage of the rear slide was this good-sized wardrobe and set of drawers:

That's about it. I am very happy with the floor plan and like the roominess of the Tioga, even if it is a bear to drive! By the way, it is not as clean or shiny now as it was in these pictures. Badly needs a bath!!

It's really beautiful. And I like that even tho it's so new you still changed it to suit your needs by putting in your recliner. You'll get the hang of driving it very quickly.

Oh, Judy, I love it! It's reassuring that you're managing /learning to drive it. I'm open to the possibility of full-timing as a way to afford what I want, but I think my self-imposed limit of 23' would have to go out the window. I followed your decision process, including renting with your son. I hope to resist buying until I've rented at least a couple of times to figure out what I like and don't like.

Thanks for continuing to share your adventure.

Drop dead gorgeous! And looks so comfy with the recliner!

thats a beaut! and I like the floor plan too, especially like the bunks as I see it as additional storage if I don't have guests.

You won't need the bunks most of the time but you still have a dinette plenty big enough for you even though you took the main one out. Great!

Absolutely beautiful. Are you going to tow? I wasn't going to at first but after my first long trip and the trouble (and expense) of renting a car so I could sight see I ended up buying a Volkswagen (1974), then a Saturn and finally a Chevy Cobalt.

No towing for quite a while. Mostly, I am keeping moving for now. If I decide to settle down at someplace for longer periods, I might consider a tow.

I like having the back dinette and then being able to use it for the kids when they join me. It also has some nice storage that is easily accessible under the dinette seats. I am keeping my wine, extra bottled water, and legal papers there until I can free up some space in the basement with stuff that I will drop off at my son's house in CA. Keep my toolbag there also.

Ellen, I started out looking at 24-25' units, but decided I couldn't live in them full time. When I got to looking at 28', I decided the last 4' to a 32' would not make much difference, and it really doesn't.
