Good morning fellow camper gals! Libby the Liberty got her first ever oil change yesterday morning and Evie (Pooker) was kind enough to come pick me up and take me to breakfast while Libby was getting her check up and fluid change. IHOP, one of my faves. Always a pleasure to get to chat with her! She's going to Laughlin the 16th, to bad, I'm sure hoping I'm on the road by then or I would be going with her. With this new jeep, I have no way to HU the auxillary brake since I have to dis-connect the battery to tow, so Hope and Libby go in Monday to have a 12 volt cord with a cigarette liter on the end installed. (run from Hope to Libby) I really don't need the brake since I drive with the exhaust brake on most of the time unless the road is long, straight and no traffic, but if I should ever get in even a fender bender I'm automatically at blame if I don't have it, whether it's my fault or not. They're also going to take the bedroom doors off. I don't need them and they are just in the way. I tried for a couple of hours to get them off, couldn't for the life of me figure out how. I'm thinking they put the doors up and built the coach around them...
. Nothing like leaving everything to the last minute. sigh.
I had a sprinkler not working and the message on the controller said it was a solenoid valve. Got on the net and found a cheap and easy way to check them with 3 9V batteries. They were all working using the batteries to activate them, but I did find spidey houses in a couple of the wire nuts, so I'm thinking it was just a bad connection. Seems like everything is working fine since I cut and re-striped the wires and put new wire nuts. I'll go back today and tape everything to keep the spiders and dampness out. Gotta love the net!
Little town near me has a farmers market on Fridays, so I called my daughter and asked her if she wanted to go. She can't, she's taking the girls skating today but she put in her order for some cilantro humus. There's a guy there that sells all kinds of humus and they're all delicious and all made fresh. Now I just need to decide after I get there and taste test all of the flavors what kind I want.
I follow the blog of a gal that used to be a member here and she posted a recipe for croutons and snack toast and I need some humus to check out the toast.
The toast is made with olive oil, so it's gotta be healthy, right?
OK, off to roust the Chew monster out of bed, I asked her if she was ready to get up about 5 this morning and she just errred at me, didn't even lift her head up...I took that as a no.
Have a great day today, weather her in SoCal is just gorgeous and I'm hoping that heat wave will be gone from the mid west by the time I get there.
