Tina's blog update

Postby Echo » Wed Jun 20, 2012 12:35 am

Just read Tina's update. She said that they are in Fairbanks. Also stated that Mitch has decided not to keep going. I guess she left this morning. She was gonna go visit Beth and then head for home. Said she missed George. I'm really sad that she felt that she couldn't go on.

Don't be sad...I am going to take my time heading back...spend time in a spot, build a campfire and contemplate what God has in store for me now. I had a great day today. And I'm in a great park tonight, and maybe tomorrow night, too!

But thanks for thinking of me!

I am so glad you are in a nice park. You need to do whatever feels right to you. I understand about you missing George. Unfortunately there are a few of us feeling our way through this. I really believe God will show you what He has in store for you.

Be sure and keep us up on your travels, though. Otherwise, you'll have all these ladies hunting for you. You know how relentless this group can be  I hope we can meet up somewhere in our travels. We could raise Cain and put a rock on it, as Chuck used to say.

I'm glad you are going to take your time going back. Maybe this is really what you needed, just taking it one day at a time...stop when you want, stay as long as you want. We will miss your fun with the others.

You need to do what you feel is right. Keep us posted on your travels and don't forget to let Belle out now and then.

Mitch, you have been on my mind since I read on your post that you were homesick. So sorry you have decided to turn back, but happy you will take your time and see things. I know I couldn't keep up with those ladies and their hikes. LOL I would just have to volunteer to be the lookout at the campground circles and let them go and explore. I know you have seen some beautiful countryside and hope you enjoy your visit with Beth. Please post your blog site so I can find it, don't know why I didn't bookmark it when I had the chance, but guess hind site is 20 20.
I know about missing someone who traveled with you everywhere you went. My mom was my taveling companion and when I lost her, things were tough to start with, just keep on going. I know you will probably think I am crazy, but it helped me to start talking to Mom as if she was still there camping with me. You will always carry George with you wherever you go. He is firmly embedded in your heart.
Hopefully you aren't thinking about giving up camping. I loved meeting you in Arkansas, even though you wore me out just watching you. And am looking forward to meeting you again in the future.
My prayers and thoughts are with you as you continue on with your journey.

For some reason several days ago I though you might decide to turn around. Have a safe journey where ever your path leads and do what ever feels good at the time. Enjoy your visit with Beth. I'd like to go for a ride on the LuLu Belle! If you pass by on your way home give a shout.

AND Mitch......Made it to ALASKA !!!!!!! :) :) :) :) That is the exciting part... When we discussed joining up for this trip we talked about our independence and that our needs and wants might not always be the same and that would be alright. All of us have traveled solo, sometimes it is just what you need..... This land is so wonderful, everyone should get a chance to experience and explore it in their own fashion... :)

...but we do want pictures, Abby....a bunch of pictures!

Mitch... sometimes being alone is what it takes to heal...I know even though people were around me I just had to put on
smiles and keep up with everyone..and really I just needed time to mend a broken heart...

You do what's best for YOU !..We are all eyes and ears if need be...and I have to tell you..being around Beth for a while..well It can make
you wanna jump in the water ..hahahaha...wait it's cold water up there ..OMG.. Nah..she's really neat and almost game for anything..and
if there's a place with a BARGAIN..I know Bethie has found it...Now I only hope when I make my trip to Alaska she's working on the boat..:)

Take it easy Mitch..George is always with you ...in your heart and in your dreams..

God's Blessings Shine On YOU !
