Sigh. The painter came today and spent the day erasing all evidence of me -- all the color -- from my house. It's being de-Janicified in order to become acceptable to potential buyers. Makes me really sad.
Whilst the painter busied himself turning my home into a house, I got a couple of things done. I went to the state parks & rec office and got fingerprinted for my security check. I needed that done so I can camp-host at Wasatch Mountain State Park this summer after I list my home. I also took on a big overgrown bush in front of my house. I have bridal veil bushes on both sides of my front porch. I did the smaller one a few weeks ago, and took the clippers to the bigger one today. Felt good. Looks good.
On Monday, the carpet cleaners will do the stairs, family room and roomie's old bedroom. So new goal is to get the downstairs -- including the nefarious laundry room -- done by the weekend. The non-laundry room area is 90% done. The laundry room still has a little ways to go. After that is done, all that will remain are the garage and a shed, which contains tents, campstoves and stuff.
It is happening. And I'm sad.
