A HOT ONE IN STORE TODAY

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

GOOD MORNING ALL!

It's already up to 71 degrees here this morning, and supposed to break some heat records for the next couple of days. I am thinking the pond will feel good even if it's a fast in and out to avoid getting the leeches stuck to me! I have my 12 volt fan running here in the trailer, although there is a teensy little breeze out there as well. The screen room will p;robably be comfy unless that breeze stops later.

Got my annual "well" woman exam yesterday, and discovered I am not so well inside any more. My uterus is all slumped and twisted and will probably need removing, along with surgical repair of my intestinal bulge that probably caused the shift. That was NOT good news for me, and I am going to a specialist in Plattsburgh as soon as the doc yesterday makes an appointment for me, for a second opinion and so he/she can answer many questions I have. I hate surgery, and will avoid it as long as possible.

My new house telephone still has not arrived, and so making calls is still not a possibility most of the time. If it turns out to be the wiring that got zapped by lightning, then more money will be required. But I shall wait and see if this new phone works first before I call Verizon.

Today is SS day, and so bill-paying day for this morning, anyway. I also joined our local credit union yesterday, so a home-equity loan will be possible with, hopefully, low interest, as soon as they check my credit rating. It should be stellar. The home equity loan will be used to get this abode into tip-top shape down the line.

Other than bill-paying, I will bury that well pump electrical line that has been lying on top of the ground for about 4 or 5 years now, seeing as how nobody else seems to care about it. That the squirrels haven't chomped into it yet is a miracle.

Off I go to wash dishes and then pay those bills!
Life is about learning to dance in the rain
Happy travels!

Oh, Soos, I was so sorry to hear about your bad news yesterday. Hopefully they can fix it without having to do an extensive surgery. They can do amazing things with surgery anymore. I will keep you in my prayers.

It's going to be hot here too. Saying in the triple digits again by the first of next week. Will definitely be working in the house getting the packing done. Hate the heat! Maybe next summer, we will be someplace cooler. Mom, Paul and I were talking yesterday. Made tentative plans to pick up Mom's friend in Boston next June and then head to Woodstock, VT for their school reunion. That would be a lot of fun and a whole lot cooler! Want to spend next summer in New England catching up with family and my high school friends too.

Got to go get a second cup of coffee. Everyone have a fantastic, safe day!

I'm just hoping that I will be able to bear the heat a little easier after today. I'm supposed to get my AC fixed today. We'll see how this goes... especially since I left Mark home to deal with the tech. Let's just say that tact is not his strong suit.

Soos - hopefully they can do everything with minimally invasive surgery. That makes recovery so much easier.

GOOD MORNING SISTAHS!!!

Yep, gonna be a warm one. It's 78 now and says it feels like 81. Gonna be high 80's till Sunday then up to the 90's. UGH! Not looking forward to working in the kitchen in that kind of heat! Gonna be miserable and drenched. Chance of thunder storms all week with a 50% on Friday. That would be nice except all that will do is make it more steamy. ~sigh~

Need to grab a shower and then will be going to Knoxville to the bank and make a deposit. Will probably scare my savings account half to death as I never seem to manage to keep much in that poor barren account! At one time I use to be able to keep money and make it worth while to have a savings acct but not now!

Sorry to hear you might need surgery Soos. But I'll tell ya what, I am a super happy person even since I had my hysto back in '95'. Love, love, love not having a period!!! And they don't cut ya open anymore to remove it either.

OK, time to go read and catch up with ya'll. Hope everyone has a good day and stays safe. Especially all the Sistahs on the road.

Love to all

Second day of my Michigan farewell trip, with a valid driver's license! Spent the night in a very nice KOA in Roscommon, Michigan, near Higgins Lake. Had a little trouble sleeping last night--need to go out today and get a mattress topper or pad of some sort to make it softer. My back was hurting yesterday and the not-so-soft bed was causing me problem. Went back to sleep after being up, so am now up for good.

Got dishes to do and then will head ever farther north. Not sure where--who cares??

Got a couple of bills to pay today and will need to get them in the mail. Also need a few groceries, especially breakfast things. Lost 4 pounds in past week, which is good, but too fast, so I have to eat better. I don't know what they did to me during my toe surgery, but one problem is that I have lost a lot of taste and my mouth feels funny. Need also to get some fruit.

Had a very nice talk last night with a cousin I haven't seen in 30 years. I have 29 cousins on one side of the family, but have lost track of some. Will see her and her brother on Sunday. Saturday is a visit with a cousin who babysat me for many years.

Sorry to hear you ara going to need surgery Soos, glad you are getting a second opinion. They do a lot of surgery different now days and the recovery doesn't take nearly so long. But still any thing to do with doctors is not fun.
Judy I am so glad the moving process is over and you are on the road!!!! Maggie I sure hope they get your A/C fixed today, I hope your friend keeps his cool, got to make those workers happy! My DH isn't real good with that type of thing so I never leave him in charge. The place could fall down around him before he would every notice there were any problems. Artists seem to live in a special place, maybe I'll be one in my next life. ;)
I had the best morning!!! My friends daughter was here with her family and I went to the farm to visit. They have two boys, one is 6 months and the other the most adorable 2 1/2 year old with big blue eyes and blond curly hair. I bet he cries when they leave. He is gathering the eggs, riding on the tractors and in the cart pulled by the pony of my dreams, a gray dapple!!!

On the way there and back I saw an owl sitting in their lane, an Indigo Bunting and a Red Winged Blackbird. That will probably be my last outing of the day it is really hot out and the breeze of the last few days is gone.
