Hello from NOVA

Come on in and say hello.

Hello from NOVA

Postby Kathy5853 » Sun Jun 17, 2012 5:42 pm

Hi! I currently live and work in Northern VA and even though I am 6 years away from retirement I find myself dreaming of the full time RVing lifestyle. Do not own any type of RV or trailer but I am enjoying learning all I can from forums such as this.

Thanks.

Kathy :D

Welcome aboard.....many good things start with dreams of possibilities. :) Hope you can find some support and information that will help you. I know that you will find opinions and reports of our experiences...whether those will be helpful, scary or funny may depend on which day you read the posts.... Feel free to check out the gtg section and or the members map and make plans to meet up somewhere. You don't have to have a rig yet to show up to share a meal. :)

Hi and welcome Kathy. As the other ladies have already said, having an RV is not a prerequisite. Feel free to jump right in on any conversation. We all enjoy sharing with each other. We are an opinionated group, but always with love and caring. This group is always there for each other in good times and bad. We also love pics.

Having an RV isn't a pre-requisite but I also say why wait until retirement. I'm sitting in the driveway in my Land Dinghy right now. It helps that it has air-conditioning and my house doesn't right now!!!!

Thanks everyone for the welcome! I would love to have a rig now but it involves some creative maneuvering. I sold my car a couple years ago and am living a very urban lifestyle so parking would be an issue. I will definitely consider a get together if one happens near me.

Looking forward to learning as much as possible.

Thanks again everyone!

Melissa, I am in Arlington near Crystal City. I moved up here from Woodbridge in 2010 (Anthony Rd and Spriggs Rd).

LOVE your rig. Looks like the perfect size for one plus animal :D

Welcome, Kathy, to a Forum full of dreamers. You are in the right place. Some of us are busy making plans, some of us are dipping our toes in, and some of us have tossed caution to the wind and are living our dreams.

Hang out with us and you'll find as diverse a group of women as you'd ever find in one place. We laugh, support one another and give advice on all things RVing and share our stories. We sometimes disagree, but we try not to be disagreeable. We share one another's adventures and cheer each other on. It's a wonderful space.

Ditto to what others have said. I am going on 2 years on the forum and have learned so much. Stay tuned and you will get an education motor homes, bumper pulls and 5'ers.
