Nan, Glad it's better - hope it completely goes away soon. Absolutely no fun to be dizzy. Or sick in anyway.

Nan, inner ear infections can make a person dizzy and have an upset stomach. With the change of altitude that you have experienced you could have fluid built up in your ears.

I sure do know the scariness of being dizzy, Nan. It ruins your ability to orientate yourself at all, and lying down with eyes closed is about the best one can do. Sometimes watching TV lying down used to help me, too. I can't remember the name of the drug they tried on me when I had labyrinthitis (illness of inner ear bones and such) but it didn't do much for me, I didn't think. Using a cane to help balance on the way to the bathroom was helpful to me, as well. Or hanging onto the walls, if available.

I do hope this is a passing thing, and that you will recover faster rather than later. Also happy to know others have caught up to you and can help you and keep eyes on you. Welcome back!

My DH takes Bonine sometimes for dizziness from an inner ear problem. He has had it off and on for years. Bonine is probably about the same thing that Liz gave you. It's an OTC medicine for motion sickness.

The year I drove from Louisiana to Seattle I had several bouts that I think were probably allergy attacks. I drove through areas with crops that I had never been exposed to. I felt so bad I thought I was coming down with the flu. Sinus and allergy medicine helped.

Hope you get to feeling better.
