Janice is up and on the move! CONGRATS to you for making a big decision, Janice! I'll bet it feels good to have a goal now, and I can't wait to meet you somewhere down the roads!

Well, the Brawny Boyz came yesterday and hauled a bunch of furniture & boxes to storage. The house is kinda echoey.  Took the rest of the day off.  Today I was still box-less so packed my "to-go" clear plastic bins. Painter comes next Tuesday so I have to battle the procrastination blues.

Took a long nap on the couch then drove up to Wasatch Mtn State Park to see the host site. Tracy the ranger told me it was a "bit rough." I have to say it is pretty bad. While all of the other host sites are paved and nice this one was just carved out of the scrub oak and semi-graded.  It was just depressing.  The pad is so pockmarked that I couldn't put a rug down and be sure I wouldn't turn an ankle.

She said they couldn't level the site because of all the rocks.  There are two ways to level a site ... dig or add material. I'll talk to Tracy about bringing in more fill. Now it's not acceptable. The other crazy thing is I would have to run more than 10 feet of sewer line. Why are crazy people assigned to design RV sites?  On the island I had to run eight feet of sewer hose in one direction and 30 feet of water line and a 20-foot power cord extension in the other.  AND pile up railroad ties to level my rig. What a joke.

I've just started flirting with Cedar Breaks National Monument. A girl's gotta keep her options open.

Janice that sounds like a lot of work for you getting it a little more level. Will the rangers or park maintenance do it for you?

Sounds like way to much period, if this is another of your volunteer positions. Glad the brawny fellas did their job and some things are moving on nicely.
Was hoping for an update on your happenings there, and found it, thinking of you, good luck Janice.

Ha! Can't believe I used to communicate for a living. Let me state this again. The sewer connection is midway on the pad and my sewer bay is at the rear of my rig. I would have to stretch more than 10 feet of sewer HOSE to connect. Sorry about the confusion. The pad still sucks and needs more fill to make it habitable -- for me.

Speaking of communication, just got a call this morning from the guy at Cedar Breaks. He woke me and I'm sorry, but my brain doesn't perform higher functions -- like speaking in complete sentences -- before a caffeine infusion.  So I sent him an email apologizing for sounding slow and forwarded my resume. Hope that helps.

I may still accept the state park position in order to be closer to Salt Lake while the house is listed.
