Thanks Beth. Definitely something to check into. Would probably add the hitch to Paul's car since Mom's already has her chair lift back there.

The Palace!! ;) I like the Domain too tho!

That is an awesome rig.... I love the fact that when you shut the doors that it closes the living/bedroom off from the kitchen. Doing it that way you can access the inside and outside without traipsing thru your Mom's room. She can be in her 'room' and you can be in the kitchen doing whatever. Cooking, watching TV or playing on the laptop at the table. Or all 3 things at the same time!

I sure don't need anything that big and for me I really wouldn't want it but it sure did make me drool and dream!!

You really choose a super functional rig for the 2 of you.

LOL, Echo, I kind of like just Domain too.

Mom having privacy was really important to me when I was looking at different rigs. I looked at all the ones with bunks and they just did not give enough room to the person living there. Mom and I have not lived in the same house since I was about 19, I think. I need my privacy too and we will need to be able to get off to ourselves from time to time. We get along really well, but we have different personalities and sometimes we just have to be able to ignore each other. It has worked out moving her out here since she bought a mobile home and we put it next door. Chuck put her in her own yard with fences and gates so she could live her own life, with me being right next door in case she got sick. This floor plan kind of allows us to still close the gate when we need to.

I am really kind of scared of the length, but figure I will get used to it pretty quick.

Beautiful MH. Great neutral colors, should be easy to make it your own. I like the Domain name also. Sounds like you have taken charge and it's yours. You will do fine driving the MH. It's all a mind set and I have confidence you will conquer it. Good luck. Linda

That model looks perfect for your situation. You are buying a place for two separate people, so I can see the need to have some separation when you need it. I actually made some of those decisions when I bought my condo 15 years ago, knowing my mother would be living with me a large part of the year.

Do make sure you can reach everything when sitting in the cab. I am very short (5'1") and had trouble with the one Class A I drove. Even with the seat all the way up, i could not reach the sun visors or some of the controls for things like the radio. Also could not reach the handle to release the emergency brake, which is a pretty serious thing not to be able to reach.

So do insist on a test drive and make sure you can be comfortable at the controls.

Thanks Judy. I definitely intend to test drive it before I buy it. I have sat in the driver's seat and was able to reach everything. Controls are angled more toward the driver rather than the passenger. I am 5'4 3/4". That 3/4" is really important. it's a joke in my family because all my brothers and my sister are all at least 6' tall. I am the runt. I keep telling them I'm not that short. Our Dad was 6'8" and Mom is 5'4".

Your comment of looking at rigs with 2 separate living areas tickled me and struck a cord!! I have done the same thing for Kelly and I. There were 2 TT's that we fell in love with. One was a Zinger with a small bunk room up front that Kelly would have used and I ? think ? the second one was a Salem. It had 3 bunks in the rear and a 1/2 bath. Under the 3rd bunk was a small dinette. It took up the whole back end of the TT. Gads that one was beautiful. All white cabinets and light colored decor. But boy it was long!!!!

That sounds so pretty. I love the white cabinets. They really open the space up. Our first 5er had bunks for the grandkids. Mom and Paul were the only ones who ever used them though. We will have to watch for a deal on that TT you liked so well. You never know!

What a home you have selected!! It's gorgeous !!! I love the bathroom, you each will have your own sink. Washer and dryer, oh my. It really is beautiful, Dawn.

That dealer is where I bought mine, they are nice people, of course they should be, Right??

Good luck and we will all be so anxious to meet you out on the road, of course, you will give tours?

Too funny CArol. I will be so glad when I actually get to go buy it. Cannot wait to meet you on the road too! Way too much work getting there though. It will be so worth it when I pull out on the road for the full-time adventure. I am hoping for sometime in August, but may end up being in September. Doesn't really matter as long as it happens.

Beth, I will definitely check into that.

Saw this morning they had sold the unit I wanted. It was the last 2012 they had. They have the same thing in 2013 model, but they are asking $10,000 more for it. Have been doing a lot of refiguring this morning. Going to take our friend Mike with me. He is really good at getting best price on RV's. His whole family takes him with them when they are ready to buy a new one. He made me promise I would not even think about not taking him. Maybe he can get them to come down the $10,000 or get more for my trade in. Well, won't be able to do anything for a couple weeks at the earliest yet so not point worrying about it yet.

Dawn, Just call me a Day late and a few bucks short after this morning with Verizon..hahaha..
Any how ....getting back to towing... I tow my Van which is a Saturn and can't be towed... I tow it wheels down ..
have for over 7 years.. I had a "Remco Pump" put on the transmission and hooked into the Motor home...they did
that right at the RV dealer and I've never had a problem... it's set up with an alarm system... Wait only one time
just remembered ..it was during a SNOW STORM on my way to Florida... it malfunctioned because of the Mush
getting into the connectors...and what they had me do was disconnect from the main..and turn my car engine on
a tow to the next RV dealer ..only could go 50 mph.. and they had to clear out the connectors...

It' works and I'll be hooking my car up next week to tow home...so I can tell you for 7 years I've used it..!

Here's there web site.... http://www.remcotowing.com/remco_lube_pump

Talk with them..very helpful and they'll tell you if you car can be hooked up !

God Bless
