You all know I've been MIA because of work, school, the Big C, among other things. But, now I'm workamping at a campground south of Denver and school is almost over, so I have more time to check in and dream of being in Alaska.
So, I'm loving my campground job and am doing maintenance. I was excited to learn how to drive the tractor even if it had the Honey Wagon hitched to it, but it has such a tight turning radius, the tire of the tractor damaged the wagon and put it out of commission. There was an old one that one of the other rangers managed to get up and running, but put him on the clock for an extra few hours and now I feel horrible. I was told it wasn't my fault because so many other rangers had done the same thing and it just happened to finally break while I was driving. The other workers here have been very nice about it, but if anyone else has tales of woe to share, I'd love to hear them, especially if they're worse than this.
And here I sit, eating my dinner of Fritos, cheese, and white wine.
