Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Morning all,

Soos, your picture of Orion is so cute. He is going to be one handsome guy as he grows up. I'm sure the girls will be following him

Just doing a quick note this morning as time is running away here and I must get ready to leave for work. My schedule is back to 8-4:30 today after two days of 10-6:30. Tomorrow I go to 7-3:30 for two days. That's nice cause I get home earlier yet.

Maggie, JudyJB is only going to be up at Mackinaw from June 21-23 and then is leaving the area to do some visiting in Traverse City before working her way back to OH. I will check my schedule and see what days i have off during the week of July 9th. Don't remember if it's up that far or not. But I will keep in touch with you on it. Hope you enjoy your stay on the island. Where are you staying.

This must be visit with Sue year cause I've seen a number of people these past two weeks that I haven't seen in a few years. First my best friends from the St. Clailr Shores area near Detroit stopped by the park on their way to WI for Memorial Day weekend. Been about a year since we have seen each other, so we had a nice short visit. Then last weekend, my cousin and his wife from downstate were up here for a wedding, so I was able to spend an evening with them. Although we talk on the phone at least once a month, I haven't seen them for about 3-4 years or so. Then yesterday, the son and daughter in law of my parents best friends stopped by the park on their way home from Mackinac Island to say hi. Been at least three years since they have been up this way as well. Tnen on the 22nd I will meet JudyJB and later Maggie is coming to MI. Wow, what a summer. Too bad I'm working while this is going on. But quick visits are better than no visits.

Well, got to run. Have a wonderful day all. Those of you who are on the road, enjoy your travels.

GOOD MORNING SUE AND ALL!

You are havng a great visiting summer, so far, Sue! I hope the Ruckus GTG turns out to be a fun one again, too. As soon as I can get to it, I need to figure out who might be coming.

I made a dent in the living room "stuff" yesterday, and now the room looks rather like an untouched hoarder house as all the stuff is out in the open, out of drawers, shelves, etc. If I could move the piano, stuck to the floor with shelac, I believe, which I applied to mask the cat pee stink in there, I would have a place to stack my antique bookshelves until I can paint them again and make them look newish. thne comes the hard part of sorting to SAVE, SELL, and TOSS/GIVEAWAY.

If today proves to be rainy, I will go the doctor to get my prescriptions renewed, and give them my FL health records and get me a new doc, as my old one moved on while I was away. I need to schedule my yearly woman stuff with somebody, too---always the highlight of my day when that happens, of course---NOT!!!....perhaps I can find a doc who can be general as well as gynocological. Then back to the living room "stuff" when I get back.

If today will be sunny and nice, I will try to get to the pond and the leanto. I mowed the entire yard here again yesterday before the rains started.

When Mandy and Joe got home yesterday, they discovered their hot water tank has sprung a leak----poor kids. that's all they need with a new refirgerator and microwave already on their Lowes Card. Good thing they went home, however, before more had leaked.

Time's a wastin' here, so off I go. I hope everybody on the roads are having decent weather, and that those wishing to be on the roads can get out sooner rather than later.
Life is about learning to dance in the rain
Happy travels!

good morning ladies
Its payday friday :D and I got two checks, how wonderful. One is the overage check they told us
we would all get that they took out too much for retirement and it got refunded. The other
is my paycheck, although it was much larger than I anticipated so that was a good surprise. I
figured it was just the last 3 days of school but I was wrong, it was a week and 3 days, so 48
hours. Will run over and pay this months rv payment, (due tomorrow) and that makes June
all paid, then I'll send off the July payments early so I know whats covered for July. Whatever
is leftover is what it is until I find out if I have anymore checks coming in from the std insurance.
I don't stress over any of it anymore cause I don't have to, feels good not to have any stress
over money matters. I have a roof over my head and food in my belly. I'm not one to go shopping
and buying "stuff". The only other thing I need to do is go get the a/c charged on my car, don't
know how much that will be but it really needs to be done as its just too hot here to drive
around without it. I will be driving son around to his work sites from time to time as he got
caught driving without his license and Phoenix impounded his scooter. Took him to court
yesterday, it was an all day thing for him but at least he's not a jailbird. Sad part is he was
down to just owing 500 on his previous ticket to get his license back and I was going to
help him accomplish that, well, now its up to 2000. Told him I'd still help him but its not going
to happen right away, he would have to start putting some aside and stop buying "stuff".
Still have to pay to get the scooter out of impound, thats 150, and after 30 days they start
taking on a daily storage of $15. Don't want to leave it in there too long.
Guess I'm starting to ramble. Off to get dressed and get busy. Have a great day and all you
ladies traveling, be safe.

Morning ladies..

the weather here is wet , but not 'soggy' as of yet ... waiting for a dr appt but have to 'fast' till 9:30! Ugh.. hope i dont pass out.... taking blood for cholestrol today and make an appt for a bone scan. Not my favorate thing to do today.

I put up another bird feeder,so lots of birds... Junkos, Pine Siskins, sparrows, and even saw a Goldfinch. A few other little ones i dont recognize. but its fun to watch them anyways.. i have yet to see to many Hummingbirds even tho i have 3 feeders out. I am hoping its just early in the season.. but the babies should be getting their wings and flying around... There are crows and Steller Jays around so maybe thats whats keeping them away. :(

Hope everyeones day is a good one....

Good morning !!! I'm glad you're feeling better Ava, what an ordeal you have had. Soos, that grandbaby is absolutely adorable, what a cutie and lots of fun, I bet. So glad to hear you're having so much company, even short visits, Sue, makes life more fun.

Maggie and I, are back at the ranch, didn't dare let her put her two cents in the other day, as she would have told how, this is where we have such swell walks and she gets out the door the extent of her leash for now. ( I loved that morning column !!!') We're set up well here, in our own home, but have somone to call if I need them, always someone around. So what a wonderful place to heal and get peace and not really be alone, but am , hard to explain, but its what is needed now.

Have really enjoyed reading all of the stuff on the forum, that I haven't had a chance to read in forever. We have some really neat sounding newbies, I love that, don't see that some of them have posted much after intro, but still hope. This forum offers so much to everyone, if they join in with comments etc., you get more out of it and in turn give more to others here.

Just checking in and catching up on everyone, what a busy bunch, Barbie, sure hope you get away from the changeable minded person out there. Not good, maybe even dangerous, never know these days.

Have a great day everyone, those traveling, hope weather and roads will be good, stay safe. Whatever your day holds, enjoy

CArol :)

Good description of what my place looks like also, Soos: "the room looks rather like an untouched hoarder house as all the stuff is out in the open, out of drawers, shelves, etc." I brought more empty boxes up from the basement this morning, so it is looking worse, rather than better.

Today is the day I get rid of my car, so I will have no transportation unless I rent something for a couple of days. Hopefully, I won't have to go anywhere.

Nice, sunny week in Michigan, but supposed to get hotter for the weekend. I will be inside packing, of course.

All the talk about getting organized is making me feel guilty. I have several boxes in the basement that I haven't touched since we moved here in 1998! ACK as Soos would say. But at least it is in boxes and since they have been there that long, I guess I don't really need what ever is in them. I keep saying I'll open them one by one and list any good stuff on eBay but so far when I get on a selling kick I usually sell what I find upstairs. Besides, the things I collected are no longer selling well, people want items from the 50's. You can't even give some of the earlier furniture away anymore. I don't have a lot compared to what it sounds like some of you are dealing with, but think it would be a good idea to organize especially my desk and paperwork. I have a small two drawer file cabinet that definitely needs updating. All my passwords are written down and in one place but some are on sticky notes and not in any order. My DH has no idea where or how to access any financial or insurance information.
Good to see you are settled in at your son's house Carol and that Maggie is with you.

I am glad you both are doing better, Ava and CArol. That is really good news.

Soos, Orion is adorable. I miss having a grandbaby that young. I figure I will probably have my first great-grandbaby sometime within the next 5 years or so.

Did not get much sleep last night. I did not want to keep taking the sleep medicine so only slept a couple hours. Went back to bed at 5:00, back up at 7:00. I tried to sleep more, but mind was racing with thoughts of Chuck, everything that has to be gone through and how in the world am I going to get it all done. Darla has been volunteering to help and I think I will let her pack up all the kitchen stuff. I already have a fully stocked kitchen in the 5er that I am going to just move into the MH.

Well, got to get a move on. It's not getting done with me sitting here.

Everyone have a wonderful day!

Well, I've missed morning, so good afternoon!

Who knew replacing wiper blades could be such an ordeal? After many people telling me to just squeeze the j hook plastic piece, and trying my darnedest to find said j hook plastic piece, I finally contacted tiffin technicians. They told me to squeeze the j hook plastic piece! I finally sent them pictures of my wiper blades and they said, oh, yours have a nut and bolt to remove! Finally! So today I ran to the local rv store and bought new wiper blades! Of course, now comes the real work of removing the nut and bolt. It looks rusted, so I'm sure a little wd-40 will be needed. Hopefully it won't be too hard to do!

Gd has two more days of school and then next weekend we are going with BFF and her gd to ocean city for a week. I'm really excited. Haven't been to the ocean in a few years (even though it is only 3 hours away)! After we get back I'll have about 3 days to get everything together and loaded in the rv for our trip west. Woo hoo!!! I'm looking forward to trying to meet up with bunches of ladies from the forum as I travel...probably more on my way back east even! And just looking forward in general to living in the rv for the summer. I really like being in it.

Carol, so,good to see your post! I sure hope you are feeling better each and every day!

I'm loving following the gals on their trek to Alaska! Wish they would hurry up,and get somewhere with good wifi!!!

Hope everyone has a wonderful day.
