LCD damage

Postby Cedar518 » Thu Dec 11, 2008 11:25 am

I know i saw a post somewhere in the last couple of days about warning re: LCD screens "freezing" in cold weather. My new Trailer Life mag arrived, and lo and behold,... RV Clinic on pg. 52 has it's leading article on that very thing. TVs, laptops, cell phones even gps units left in freezing temps can sustain damage.

I removed my LCD tv from my camper as when not camping I also use it in my office in my home. Has anyone had trouble with this, :? or are all of you enjoying warm weather as snowbirds? :D

Really good to know as we have a habit of leaving the GPS in the car overnight. Have to check it out more thouroughly. Thanks

YEEEEK. Just ran to my car to get the unit out. It booted up. Sigh. Thanks for the warning.

Good info, and no, I didn't know it. Thanks for making me aware.

Did not know this, thanks for the info. I leave my GPS unit in the MH all the time. Guess I need to get it out and check it to see if it works.

Thanks for the warning.
