GOOD MORNING TO ALL!
The day has dawned sunny and bright, albeit cool at 53 degrees----actually quite normal for this part of the world at the end of May. The black flies are coming out in droves right on cue, as they are June 1st pests for about 3 weeks solid---then not so thick for a while. What amazes me is the deer flies that hatched so early this year. Every year these former August pests are becoming spring demons.
I worked with Dinah yesterday to mind the warning signal sound from her wireless fence collar, and, although she did get a good zap once, she has stayed within the boundaries ever since. Now I need to make sure she knows she is safe when I take the collar off and put a leash on her, so she can go past the boundaries with confidence. Just don't wish to confuse her at this point, however. She will be very easy to train with a warning sound from now on, I am sure. What a fantastic dog she is!
Molly's urinary tract problem seems to be cured ever since she got the meds and had the incident in the vet's office. I suspect she maybe had a stone pass, and am hoping she won't get another. She is full of pep again, and eats like there is no tomorrow!
I got a lot done here yesterday, and plan to mow again today before the grass gets out of hand again. I will save the house de-stuffing chores for rainy days, which I am sure we will have a lot of.
I do hope Carol is feeling better and will be reunited with Maggie as soon as possible. I am thinking of her often and sending healing thoughts her way.
May the Alaska Wild Women have a great travel day today!
