YIPEE!!!! My Roadtrek

Postby retiredhappy » Fri May 25, 2012 12:55 pm

Finally, found my rig. 1999 Roadtrek Popular Twin. 100,000 miles, twin beds in rear, awning and generator = everything I wanted. They're delivering it next Thursday from Albuquerque, New Mexico. They had been asking $25,000 and I offered $18,000 including $1000 for delivery. Its been on consignment at a dealer there and the seller agreed. If everything isn't like they describe I can refuse delivery. I liked the fact that the dealer showed pictures of every little ding and scratch on their website and they do a walk-thru by phone listing everything before they send it to me and they do another walkthru when they get here before I accept delivery and give them their money. The only thing I don't like is that the inside is "teal" which I will change as quickly as I can make slipcovers for the bed and buy seat covers for the front. I also intend to paint out all the cabinets probably white to lighten it up. The one thing I liked about the Pleasureways was that they were white inside usually.
Anyway, thanks for all your thoughts and crossed fingers. I'm sure that's what finally decided the seller to take my price. See ya down the road.

Finally! All of the waiting and searching is over and you're gonna be at the GTG with your very own bed! Hope it's everything the dealer says it is and everything you wanted! Waiting for pictures, when will it be there?

Sure hope this is THE one, it sounds like the dealer was pretty up-front. What chassis is it on, I love my Pleasure Ways Dodge Ram 3500. We all will wait and hope!!

I thought I had already sent a reply but lost my connection. So great to find this one and now you can make the changes and make it yours in the process....looking forward to meeting you at a GTG, probably in TX...

Yeah!!! I knew you would find one. Knowing you, you will make it look exactly like you want it, slipcovers and paint. You did such a great job on the "C".
