Nan, I saw those boots by the bed and remembered hearing a friend tell my mom 'Robert Mitchum could put his boots under my bed anytime". I wondered what that was all about ( I was about 5). Do you suppose?? I think the nostalgic side of travelin is one of the best parts. This adventure is not all yours...you have a bunch of envious girls waiting for each day's new entry... thanks for sharing :D

I remember when Linda and I were heading out to California and going thru Colorado and Wyoming on that same route, wondering how the pioneers could have traveled thru there and amazed at the terraine they had to go thru (and without maps or GPS!). The photos look very familiar.
