Last Saturday my son-in-law drove me to Stahlman Bros RV in New Braunfels to look at three Class B's I had seen on their website. One had been sold several days before and not taken off their website. (Can you say "bait and switch"). One was a total piece of crap. The 3rd one had two jump seats behind the driver and passenger seats that made into bed but ONLY for small children. I talked to Christie, the manager, and told her exactly how much I had to spend and what I needed. She told me she had a trade-in coming in Thurs or Friday and to call her. Well Friday comes and I call and speak with her four times. I flat asked her if it was within my budget and she tells me she can make it happen and that I really needed to come look at it Saturday. Sooooo, John, Melissa and I drive (one and a half hours) to look at it. We get there 30 minutes after they open and there's a man coming out of the unit. We both head to the office (Christie isn't there) and speak with her assistant, EArl. Turns out Christie had called this man and told him he needed to come look at it, too. Tells him $20,000 and me $18,000. Long story short - he buys it and I leave. I'm beginning to think I'm not meant to have another rig. The really bad thing is that this is about the only place that carries older Class B's in this end of Texas. That's twice I've been screwed out of a rig that appeared perfect for me. What ever happened to doing business with honest people whose word was good. Disappointed and angry doesn't even begin to cover it.
