Chilly Thursday Morning

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Chilly Thursday Morning

Good Morning everyone,

Just a quick hi from the 45th. Chilly and frosty morning out there. 29 degrees but sun is coming up and promises to be a nice but cool day.

I'm going to be heading off for work shortly but have eggs, bacon, sausage, strawberries, bread, jelly etc. in the house if anybody wants to make some breakfast. I just had a hamburger patty and cottage cheese followed by strawberries. Protein breakfast.

Things are going good at work. We are getting down to the last minute before Memorial Day stuff done. Still things to do, but we will get it. Full house for Memorial Day from what I hear. After that we will do more maintenance in the park before we have to start turning our attention to our visitors more. Right now there are only about 3 camps in the park and I am sure there will be a few more this weekend as the weather is going to be really nice and warming up.

I had my first two weekdays off since I started work in April and got a lot done around here. Banking, grass cutting, house cleaning, shopping, car washing, you name it. Now I can kind of kick back this next week although I did make an appt. for the dogs spring grooming session and one for myself with my chiropractor, all on Monday morning.

So, time to get cleaned up and dressed, make lunch and be off for another day. Haven't had time to catch up on the forum so if there are any new faces on board, I want to say Welcome. The AK group seems to be making good progress and are brining back memories for me. Have a wonderful day all, keep safe if you are on the road, careful if you are under the weather and enjoy the day for what it is.

GOOD MORNING SUE AND ALL!

We had frost here last night, too, so have had the electric heater running since about 5:00 am, and now the dogs and I are ready to hit the road for our last leg of this journey. I waited until now to avoid any commuter traffic going through Syracuse, hopefully!

This is a really beautiful campground, and one I will use next spring when I come through this way again. Or, if I leave the north country earlier this fall, they are open until about the middle of October.

Just a quick HI to all, and happy travels or happy day, whatever you make of it!

Happy travels!

good morning ladies
another day towards healing and I'm so looking forward to being normal again but I'll just take
each day as it comes. No depression here :D
Sons friend stopped by just back from a few months trip into California and I'm now the owner
of a garmin nuvi. Been playing with it but he said they used their smart phones more than anything
which is why he gave me the garmin. Not that I'm going anywhere anytime soon  but I was
noticing many sites nearby that peak my interest when I can get to it.
Keeping track of the fires in Arizona, its a yearly thing and such a shame for all those folks that
loose their lovely mountain cabins. But I'm glad that there are places now that consider folks
family pets when it comes to evacuations,
Went to the year end luncheon yesterday, my bus aide picked me up and I was able to say
goodbye for the summer to all my friends and got lots and lots and lots of hugs. Packed my
lunch to go as I didn't want to embarrass myself trying to manage eating in public. They had
chicken filets and rigatoni all soaked in some kind of marinara sauce, salad, garlic bread and
yummy cookies, brownies and ice tea or lemonade.
I think thats about it for any interesting stuff from me. Ya'll have a great day and everyone
be safe on the road.

GOOD MORNING SISTAHS!!!

Quiet here as Kelly has already went out the door to go clean the bath rooms, rec room and laundry room. I don't think she has any cabins to clean cause I haven't seen any vehicles up there on my trips in and out. Shouldn't take her to long. Need to remember to leave laundry stuff home for her. Says she thinks shes down to her last bra! I should have done laundry yesterday but I still have one clean uniform left. I just didn't feel like doing anything yesterday.

Sun is shining out there but it's just a smidgin cool yet. But will warm up for sure before to much longer! Thank you son David for the window A/C unit! ;) It makes living in the TT sio much more bearable when it's warm and sunny out!

Gonna talk to my lead guy today to let him know what's up and I will talk to HR tomorrow. See what other jobs might be open and if I can maybe transfer to one? I sure hope so. Please keep your fingers crossed for me.

OK, off to do a little reading and catching up. If your on the road today be extra cautious and if your parked be sure to have fun and relax. And I hope everyone has a super great day and remembers to stay safe.

Love to all

I'm late checking in today. Ava, I hope Katrina taught what happens when you just evacuate people and not pets. People died because they wouldn't leave their pets and they would let them evacuate with their pets. Then they had to go back and rescue pets and it was a nightmare getting them taken care of. Now, at least in Louisiana, if they open an evacuation shelter it is tied to a place to bring your pets. They won't let you have pets in the evacuation center but you can visit where they are.
