Nearing Mile 0 on Alaskan Hwy

Postby chalet05 » Sat May 12, 2012 2:30 pm

We have been on the road 2 weeks...started out very boring going from Arizona to Rapid City then to south of Banff, Canada. We are now in Grande Prairie, Alberta and should reach Mile 0 tomorrow.

Need to catch up on this forum.....did read about Sharon's test results and happy to see that!

I posted a few photos on FB and this is the link. Haven't had time, energy or Internet enough to blog!

Are you going by Lake Louise? Understand it's beautiful there. Wave to all my Alberta and BC relatives.

Anita, really beautiful pictures...but wouldn't want to be driving on that snow and ice. Colleen, I love your new Avatar.

Beautiful pics of the snow.

Any of you ladies headed up there, just a thought...Pics of Mitch being hit with a snowball would be highly rewarded! :P

Love the photos but it looks cold.

Vickie, shame on you for planting such ideas. Don't forget that Belle could be seriously injured by a snowball if Mitch tries to use her as a shield.

I didn't see the gorgeous waters of Lake Louise - it was covered with ice and snow but still spectacular!

Only time I've seen Lake Louise was during ski season. I also ended up on crutches that trip - try climbing into one of the horse drawn carriages to take a tour of the lake when you're on crutches!!! But it was spectacular!
