JONESTOWN PA KOA STILL

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

JONESTOWN PA KOA STILL

GOOD MORNING ALL!

And I am still at Jonestown KOA and it is STILL raining! It has rained since I parked here on Sunday at about 1:00 pm.....non-stop. And it is predicted to rain all day and all night again tonight.

Mandy called yesterday, is feeling well enough to go to her conferences in Lake Placid, and so they will not be at their home until late Wednesday night or Thursday morning. Hence, I have signed up for another night in this nasty weather. (Actually, I guess I would rather be parked than driving all day in this, too. And I have hookups here and won't at my next stop at Fkying J.) I am two days from Mandy's house.

I asked somebody if, when I use my battery power for TV and lights at the Flying J, if I need to start my generator to charge them up the following day, or if my truck while plugged in and driving down the road the following day would charge them. He said yes it would. Is there any reason why it might not? I guess I just need a second opinion. I, of course, unplug the truck from the trailer while parked at night, and then reconnect for travel.

Dinah is out on her doggie bed under the canopy, and Molly is drying herself off on my bed in here. What on earth I will do all day in this downpour weather, the third day of it, is beyond me. If I unhitched, I could drive to Walmart, but the thought of doing that with the residual pain in my ribs is making me say NO to that.

Happy soggy, soggy day to you all out there on the roads or in your RVs parked, or wherever you may be.
Life is about learning to dance in the rain
Happy travels!

Ugh to soggy weather. We are supposed to get rain today as well.

Soos - you got any good books to read? And yes, your truck should recharge the trailer battery as you are driving. I've read that's how some people handle the boondocking situation - they plan on starting their tow vehicle every couple of days.

good morning ladies
slept really good last night and I'm getting better at taping my eye so its comfortable and
does what its suppose to do....keeping my eye shut all the way.
Going over my paperwork for my short term disability claim and medical leave, need to get that
done asap. Will fill those out today and also have to have one of them filled out by attending
physician at the hospital so a trip over there will be necessary.
Gonna run a hot bath and soak for awhile today, it will feel good as I'm like Soos, I don't
care for showers.
Other than all that I'm just sitting here trying to heal. Its frustrating but it is what it is and
much better than the alternative.
Be safe everybody, and Soos, try to stay dry.

Good Morning Soos and everyone else... well at least you are still alive! I guess a good book is out of the scope of things after three days...
I will try to weed through some more of the 'things' the family brought in from the motorhome last week... talk about slow!
My grandson Tim closes on his house today at 3pm... how excited he is... and we all are also... he has a lot of work to do but that is the work he does so he is well able to do it... I will go over on Sat for my walk through!
So many things happen while the grandkids grow up... it is fun to see it all take place...
Ava good to hear from you... you are in my prayers... take care of yourself...
Well I need another cup of coffee...
Have a very very good day everyone...

Good morning
The rain has finally stopped here and looks like it will be a sunny afternoon. Am hoping the sunshine will inspire me to get moving as I have wasted the gloomy weekend. Lots of errands on tap for today - none of which are interesting but necessary.

Sarah, I know Nikki was glad to see you...how is your friend doing? Are you now keeping her furbaby?

Yes, I have both 50 lb dogs - dirty, wet and dragging the great outdoors inside.
My friend is doing as well as can be expected following the sudden loss of her husband. She made it thru local memorial service but decided not to go to Arlington for the military service. She asked his children to take their mother's ashes to be buried with him there. She has gone to LA to spend a week or so with her son.
