MONDAY AT JONESTOWN PA KOA

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

MONDAY AT JONESTOWN PA KOA

GOOD MORNING TO ALL!

Rain, rain, and more rain. It rained most of the night, and it's to rain most of the week. I know I am back in the northeast now.

I am still not sure how long I will stay here. It depends on my daughter and Joe, as they are at my house now and not back at their place. (Actually, they are not even at my house but at Joe's mother's house in the same town----so no work is getting done on my refrigerator and kitchen. I could leave here tomorrow morning, however, and go directly to my house rather than to their house. This is an option I might take, although I was hoping to spend more time with Orion than one or two nights. They are planning to be back at their house by late Wednesday night, and I have no key to get into their house nor can I back into the slot in their driveway I need to hook up and park. Yesterday when I talked to Mandy, however, she sounded very sick with a cold/laryngitis again, and may forgo her conferences/lectures and head home today. If that happens, I can leave here tomorrow morning, stay at a Flying J in Binghamtom tomorrow night, and get to their house on Wednesday.

Staying here where the cable for TV was damaged badly yesterday morning by a departing 5th wheel with its arial up, in the rain, in the cold and damp, inside my trailer with the two wet dogs, just seems like NOT a fun time! At least I have wifi, so I guess I should be sort of happy. The cost of this KOA is needlessly high compared to the fees charged by the others I have stayed at, as well.

It's exciting to read about those starting for Alaska, and about Beth's journey to her summer job. I am really thankful to be able to share in the adventures!

Time for another cup of coffee, and then a shower, which I HATE as I am a bath taker, but is necessary to keep the trailer smelling sweeter!

Happy Monday to all!
Life is about learning to dance in the rain
Happy travels!

Good Morning Soos and all the others that are not here yet... you are almost home to hold dear Orion... how exciting...
I skiped with my two daughters and two of my granddaughters in Michigan yesterday... that was fun.. they showed me around the house and all of the things they have done since I was there in September... their front yard looks nice... I think they will be an inspiration to the neighbors to fix theirs up also...
Wow this is the third day I have gotten up without the awful pain all over my body... I am inclined to believe now it was a bad flair up of the fibromyalgia... Friday I will get injections in my shoulders and knees then I should be all fixed for several months... yipppie so glad for that... I am a real chicken when it comes to the injections have not had my knees done before because of fear! time to get over that for sure...
My son called yesterday also... he will go back to Columbia later this month returning on the 9th for Joy's graduation... Mark my grandson will also go but return on the 9th as well... now they are in the process of opening a plant in Bolivia... wow they will be gone a lot... finding local workers to train is a real challenge... the economy has been so bad for these people forever so this is a chance for those that have at least some ability to provide an excellent living for their families... the company my son works for is debt free if you can believe that... that is not heard of... my son and grandson do not speak spanish so they have to work through an interpreter... Mark is picking up some so he can understand more than his dad... such exciting times for them...
My day is far less exciting than those that are heading for Alaska... I will follow them with such interest also...
I trust you each will have a great day whatever you are doing...

Happy Monday Soos, Kathleen and all to follow.

Soos, it sure sounds like it's time to leave there to me. You sound like you're miserable and that's no fun for you.

Kathleen, glad you had a nice visit thru Skype yesterday. I use Skype to keep up with youngest daughter, Laura, when she is home in Alabama.

About to get my first cup of coffee. Mom and Paul asked me to go with them yesterday to look at Class C's for Paul. We drove from Weatherford to Alvarado (going to MHSRV) only to find they were closed on Sunday. Checked Ancira's and McClains, all same story. Oh well, we all had a nice drive anyway.

My coffee is sounding ready so going to go pour a cup. Everyone have a wonderful day! Looking forward to more posts from the group on the way to Alaska.

good morning ladies
slept so-so last night, at least the girls were happy and it felt good to have them in their little designated
spots on the bed. Was so worried about the tape keeping my eye shut I kept waking up just to check it.
Have the gel drops for night time but still the stress of worrying about my cornea drying out is fearful
enough. Had called my supervisor at home yesterday and later on today will go in and file my paperwork
to utilize one of my benefits, short term disability will pay me my checks until I'm healed up and get
back to work. The std was a voluntary benefit option, and I'm so glad I took it, thought it was well
worth it, think I was paying $15 a pay period for it, and now I have it to cover me for the summer.
Needless to say I'm done for the school year cause we can't drive with just one eye and the droopy
drooling mouth is a real embarrassment in public. Have to get my follow up appts scheduled and its
also recommended I make an appt with the ophthalmologist. This is not fun!
Guess I'll get a little extra cleaning done while I'm home, my desk really needs the attention the most
and then a good mopping on the floor would be a good idea.
Ya'll have a great day and I'm following along on the Alaska group. Ya'll be safe.

 You guys are funny!

I have the day off but am feeling lazy. Still feel kind of yucky from my UTI (safe acronym!) so probably won't do much today other than pay some bills, read, nap, etc. I should also get caught up on the posts from the Alaska gals too. And post photos of my visit with my daughter...

It is a beautiful sunny 75 degree day today in SoCal! Will probably take a little walk later too.

I am still being scheduled for 6 days a week at work, so I need to talk to the manager about that. I really need two days off each week, especially for the summer so I can get back to my day trips. Still lots of things to see and do out here!

Hope you all have a great day and stay well, safe and happy!
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)
