Beth's Progress

Before Beth left, she asked me to let everyone know where and how she was, progress wise, on her trek to Alaska if she didn't have or had limited wifi. Tonite she posted on FB that she was in Ft.Nelson borrowing wifi from a motel. Then she was moving on down the road a bit to spend the nite. So far the only problems she's had are high winds and cold weather, but that's to be expected this time of year. It was good to hear that she's ok and moving on up to her destination.

So where's the rest of the Alaska crew???

Birdie here - still in the Oklahoma Panhandle. Needed to drop a week before I went on north. So I'll be in Limon to see Carol Tuesday and then I'll see some of the others Thursday or Friday a little farther up the road. Having fun, doing something I don't do a lot of - sightseeing. I usually bird, but not necessarily go looking at the sights and sites. But doing that out here.

The gang and I are still here in Ohio but getting close to lift off. I agreed to go to Mother's Day brunch with the 90 year old. I figured that if I am leaving for months....it was the least I could do  Need to move the Short Bus around today and fill and rinse her tanks. Leaving the grocery shopping to the last minute. Need to do those last loads of laundry so that i can pull out the favorite things and we will be off and driving. ....and watching all the sights go by....

Thanks Sharon, for posting Beth's whereabouts. Hope the winds will die down and let her have a decent trip. She's leading the way for the rest of us :) Wishing her safe travels and no obstacles in her way, she's moving on :D

I'm at my families here in Colorado, next move is North to Alaska !!! Cold here today, had to clean my little heater, was thinking another was on buy list, but just needed the lint cleaned out, something I had not thought of, Radio says, 45 in Co. springs and I'm just a wee east of there, cold out there, but no wind blowing, so makes it ok. Maggie and I, have been having some great walks here, building the stamina back up for both of us ;)

I've been able (I think) to keep up with my traveling buddies, so guess I will head for Brush or thereabouts Friday morning. signal here is not good, I may be typing this for nothing, have before, so having faith and trying :) Weather determines signal , wayyyyyy out in the country !!!!!!

Travel safe, think Nan is flying to meet up with Liz, sure better be doing it safely Nan !!!! She will wait, she's a good ole gal, won't leave ya. I'm thinking Mt. and Glacier park may be colder this time. Always finds us in coats and gloves up there anyway, hope not colder then before :(

Going to try to send this off, I've tried so many times, so just know, I have tried to keep checked in

Stay safe and Enjoy the day,
CArol :)

Thanks for keeping us posted on Beth, Sharon.
I am among those not on Facebook so have to depend on others to share info posted there. I do appreciate you taking the time to do that for us.
