Weeeeeee and they are off...... I spent the day cleaning out cabinets in the rig and rethinking my storage options...and know it doesn't sound exciting but it sure worked for me. Herschel sat in his navigators bed and kept his eye on the progress...... :)

I'm not quite in Canada - delayed it to stop at St. Mary's at Glacier. Great time to stop - water isn't on, so it's only $5 with pass, $10 without today. No AT&T signal here - Verizon signal looks excellent, but keeps knocking me offline. Go figure. When on, it's fast, though.

In the morning, I really will get into Canada :) Unfortunately, not going up through the Canadian National Parks - I know I'd take too long and not get to work by my start date. Hope you travelers ARE going that way. I'll be able to relive it through you. I am looking forward to going to the actual start of the Alaskan Highway this time - NO FIRES (are they listening?)

Mitch and Liz, those pics of the babies are so precious.

See you all soon.

Love the baby Killdeer! They are pretty allusive and in all my years growing up in the Midwest I had never seen one.

Here are the killdeer the morning they hatched (2 of the 3. Number 3 hatched later in the day)...nothing but legs!

Oh, thank you for sharing that picture! Yes, they sure do have some long legs. So cute.

No, but I do have a camera. If I'm bored from not being allowed to help, I might start taking pictures of you working. Just saying...

Today, I think I will stop in Maggie, NC unless I decide to go to Cherokee and have a little fun and food at the casino. My ex and I stayed at Maggie a few years ago. If I stay at Maggie, is this the night I call my ex? Sarah and Wendy know what I'm talking about!!
