Postby Carolinagal » Tue May 08, 2012 7:00 am

Good Morning, I am up , Maggie isn't . Its Moving on day!! sun is coming up nicely , looking good out there . It was so nice to lay over and play. Can't say I'm any better on my new toy, but sure feel more rested. I love this CG, has a storm shelter, which is so important is this area, and the atmosphere, being in the country is my thing, nice big pond to walk around, and wonderful people own it

No news just wishing everyone a great day whatever you do or wherever you are. Hoping Kansas winds are not to high, Take care all of those on the roads, sure glad I am not in. Texas today for those of you who are be careful".
HAve not learned what to do when this thing does its own thing without asking me !!!!!!!!

OK Moving on here!

We are up, too. Herschel got your kayak loaded yesterday, Carol, and we found that the large tub with the second kayak fits very well on the hitch rack so I think we are all set for the water. Paddles and the extra life jacket are loaded in storage. Need to update a few banking records and get some additional things moved into the bus and serve as the "driver" for my step mother this afternoon as she has an eye doctor appointment. So everyone have a good day out there. May your journeys lead you forward where ever you need to go today.... :)

Sounds exciting with everyone making plans to move.

Me I'm staying put - stupey work! But I'm dreaming and living vicariously through all of you.

If it wasn't Mother's Day weekend, I would seriously consider trying to find a park. But being a holiday weekend - yes, Mother's Day tends to fill the parks. Plus, it's supposed to storm Friday.

I brought my raincoat to work today. I think I just about guaranteed the rain will pass me by. We'll see.

GOOD MORNING SISTAHS!!!

Slept like a log last night and haven't been up very long, maybe 45min? Have had 2 cups of coffee and Shade has been out for that important first P of the day. Now she is back in bed and here I sit fighting with this worn out laptop. ~sigh~

A/C unit in the window and is blowing cool air happily into the trailer. Humid as all heck outside so it's gonna be a really warm day out there. Don't know if we are gonna have any storms today but from the feel of it out there I wouldn't be a bit surprised. Today I have to get laundry done up and will take my laptop up with me and see if this thing works any better up there as the wifi point is right at the end of the building. Just might do a little cleaning in here as it sure does need it badly! :?

Some of you are still getting things ready for your big trip to AK, picking and a choosing what to take and what to leave. Those of you already on the road make sure that your careful and keep those eyes moving watching for hazards and potential trouble. Everyone else??? Make sure you have fun today and be careful too.

Love to all

Good Morning everyone... many plans everyone has and many different directions... how great to hear...
I fell yesterday it was a soft fall... I was getting up off the couch with an armful of clothes to take care of and my knees gave way... nothing hurt but am very sore now...
Oh good news here... I started looking through the box with my grandmothers jewelry in it and I found two sweater clips sadly one was broken but the other one is perfect... the stones are not the right color but it is beautiful and I will wear it on mother's day with pride...
I will call the groomer to see if she can take shadow this week... he needs a nail trim, fur trim and bath... she does this all for about $35 and she is so nice to boot... I got him a new bed for the kennel I do not want him on it until he is clean... the other one I will wash and use for a spare...
Tina do they make kayaks for someone as large as me? that would be so fun to do... I used to canoe but have not for years... if you know please send me the info... thanks...
I missed my blossoms on the tree this year... but the lilacs are out and smell so very good... they are young plants but do their best to please everyone with their beautiful dress...
Take care everyone on the road and drive safe...

Sunny and cool here thank goodness, but the rain missed us though and we needed it badly. My brother brought me some cherries yesterday so I made a cherry crisp last night and had my brother over this morning for crisp and coffee. It was tasty but pitting those cherries took a long time.

Kathleen, our lilacs have been gone for several weeks now, in fact almost everything has bloomed already even things that doesn't usually bloom till late June.

Hope all who are doing last minute chores before heading out for Alaska get everything organized without too much hassle. I need to go shopping and take advantage of going out while it is cool. Just found a tick on Andy and killed a big mosquito buzzing around me as I type...summer is here.

I've been watching for Barbie to post, she should be back from her trip. Also we haven't heard from Alice in quite some time, has anyone been in touch?

GOOD AFTERNOON ALL!

I left Point South KOA, Yemassee SC, this morning at 7:30, and arrived here at Fayetteville/Wade KOA, Wade, NC, a little after noon-----they let me right in! It was only about 230 miles. No rain today, so far, and the driving was much better than yesterday with those heavy downpours. The sun is still shining here, I am eating some leftover pizza I got last night, having a seltzer for my breakfast/lunch, and then it's off to the pool for me. I have already taken the dogs to the fenced-in doggie park and let them run and given them fresh water.

Kath, you do not need to be falling down----very not good. Maybe you need a cane nearby you all the time??

Shirl, I wish I were there to help you do all that you feel you need to do. Do not worry about the shape of your RV, as mine is all piled onto the floor for travelng! At least I have no canoe in here, and no bike this trip, so there is actually room to live!

Time to get to the pool----LATER....
Life is about learning to dance in the rain
Happy travels!

Kathleen...you would be just fine in my Sea Eagle....it is more like the duckies that they use to go down white water rafting. It is easier to get in and out of and has a 600 lb weight limit. It can hold two people if you need it too! It doesn't paddle quite as easily as the ones that look more like a hard shell kayak but I love that it is very stable  :) ...and of course that it has room fornherschel. :D You would need assistance getting it into and out of the water probably...it weighs a little over 40 lbs. Next gtg you can come for a ride with me! :D
