New Rig - hopefully????

Postby retiredhappy » Mon May 07, 2012 8:38 pm

Think I've found my little Class B (YIPEE)- on Ebay of all places but right here in Texas. I've looked at lots of pictures and talked to the man who is selling it. Its a 1997 Roadtrek 190, 80,000 miles, has all manuals and maintenance records. Has the twin beds I was looking for (so Carole could still travel with me), a generator and an awning. Unfortunately I had to settle for the pull out into the aisle potty/shower. Ya just can't have everything. The price is $11,950, which is right about NADA and my bank has already approved my loan. With luck I'll get the money Weds or Thurs from the bank and my son-in-law is taking me Saturday to check it out. He will check the motor (he's a mechanic) and I'll do the inside. If it all is fine I'll give him the check, otherwise the check and I return to Kerrville. My banker emailed the seller that I was approved and the seller pulled it off Ebay. I'm excited. Fingers crossed for me, please.

Oh Karen, I hope this is the perfect rig for you! Maybe you and Carole could make the Canyon Lake GTG. It would be great seeing both of you again.

Fingers, toes and eyes crossed! 'Bout time for you to get back on the road a little!

Hope Sharon isn't planning on driving anywhere today...eyes crossed and all. With all that "stuff" in her head that Vickie referred to I would hate her to lose her way. :) Good Luck to you on getting the rig checked out Karen. Good thing you have someone with you to "pull" you away if everything isn't as it should be. Hopefully you will just have a nice drive home in a new to you rig! :D

If I bring it home Saturday you can bet first thing I do is make reservations for Canyon Lake. If Carole is not at the coast with her kids, she'll be with me. I will probably let my SIL drive it home to listen to the engine, test brakes, etc on something longer than a test drive. I'm already making lists of things I need for it. I love my lists.
