We need to make room for Stuart and Remi. And I have made arrangements with a friend to pick Blondie up each month to bath her and keep her clipped short. Blondie has to stay and be in charge of the pottery making man, but I don't count on him taking care of anything but feeding her. Fat chance she would let him forget about that ....well that and taking her for drives to get bones from the coffee drive through window.

Stuart isn't staying with his 4-H family this year so he gets to travel with us. He is very excited. He goes to the vet next week long with Herschel to get all his papers updated for the trip and for their Therapy Dog certificates all at the same. time. :)

Stuart is my "I just love to go swimming." dog. There are three good reasons I don't have carpet in my rig. :?

What Soos said...Yay!...work is finished Tina! Now you can really get into the heading 'north' mindset!

Mitch....have you tried the aluminum Dutch Ovens? We started using them to carry on pack animals into the back country. Very, very light compared to old cast iron. And yes, they do a great job! Now I want to get a small one for my van, no need for the big one to travel with me, but I do use it occasionally home at the ranch.

Three??? I thought Remi was more of the "well, if you absolutely insist, but you do know there are things in there that eat dogs and it's slimy and icky on the bottom and oh no! what's that green thing floating on the water???" And "love swimming" is kind of the understatement of the year for our Stuartdog!!

I am finalizing stuff at my house, with plans to hit the road Tuesday. (that is if that 4:30 doctor's appointment says I can leave) But putting all in order here so if he says okay, I am outta here...gone, see nothing but the tail lights. I am sooooo ready to be on the road. North to Alaska, go north the rush is on.

I'm working on a fashionable design for Abby's Bacon Collar. Maybe Nan, you could help me? I'm more a glue stick person than someone who knows how to sew...

Why don't you just stop here and leave Abby with us until you're on your way home....I'm starting to fear for that poor baby's life! Radar could teach her a few tricks!

So need to read these posts daily...I am so far behind I don't think I will ever catch up.

Learned something new in this thread ~ DO, couldn't figure out what Mitch was talking about till someone spelled it out ~ Dutch Oven. Now I have to do some research to find out exactly what that is and what you do with it. It sounds big and interesting.

I want to wish you all safe travels and most importantly to have fun and enjoy! Can't wait to see pictures and hear all about your travels.

If any of you are going through Missouri, we are in Branson and would give you a great deal for a one/two night rest stop here at the campground.

Looking forward to tagging along.

Guess I had better get my butt out of this chair and start packing..... :D I can't make most of my phone calls and set up the needed last minute appointments till tomorrow anyway..... The dogs see the sunshine and all they want to do is play. Can't wait until they start enjoying this new adventure, too. Animals know how to live in the present...they are my role models. :)

Okay. I'll need your address.
I hope I would remember the address on the way back.
That'd be sad if I forgot.
