Just a note to tell all who are attending the gtg, I am in Nashville. The RV guy has rejuiced my AC, but I seem to now have an electrical problem. I hope to be there by this afternoon or night but it might be tomorrow. I called the resort to tell them I might be a day late.
I'll keep you updated.

Unfortunately once again I've had to cancel. The heat and humidity is just too much for me, ACK wish it hadn't picked this week to turn summer.

If any of you are coming any where near me on your way to AK give a shout and maybe we can meet up, it's supposed to cool off next week. I can travel to meet up or there are some nice camping areas on lakes nearby. Hope you all have a a great time.

BJ, I'm sorry you couldn't come...I'm still in Nashville, trying to get my AC charged and an electrical problem worked out. I have been in this little RV with 2 men, tearing things out of cabinets trying to find a switch. This joint was rocking so no telling what the neighbors thought. I didn't know if I had Click n' Clack or Cheech n' Chong in here working...They are gone but left with "if it does that again call us". I will stick around here tonight since they weren't that sure the problem was solved. See the rest of you girls tomorrow.

Sarah and Wendy arrived this afternoon. Sarah was able to drive right into her spot, so no back-up worries. One of the workers helped her set up and all is well. Wendy had dinner for tonight-steak, potatoes and salad, then sat around chatting. Awaiting Nancy tomorrow. carold

And the fun begins. I am excited for Sarah. Hoping that this is just the beginning of her wandering adventures with Magic. :)

This sounds like fun. Let me know how you like the minister's treehouse. I've been to the top twice. Makes me feel like a kid again.

Sarah, when are you heading back toward Huntsville and when? I am leaving here (Folkston) tomorrow but stopping in the vicinity of University of GA to see my big brother for a few days before heading to Hohenwald. Perhaps we can meet up along the way.

Oh so sorry I'm not there. Enjoy yourselves, it looks like I'll be delayed a little longer down in SE Ga. Hope you enjoy "my" park. Don't forget to go to the Cumberland Mountain State park for their good food andbanana pudding. They have great trails over there too. The winery tour is set for Sat. Have fun.

If you go to Deer Runs web site you'll find lots of info on the campground, including layout showing two campgrounds - large and small one. We are in the small one.
Nancy and I got the best sites in terms of view but Wendy and Carol are just behind us in pull thru sites.
View from the front of Magic is looking across little lake
Image
View from side of Nancy's rig (She is parked at 90 degree angle and slightly in front and to the left side of me
Image
Looking back the other way and here's Magic all tucked in
Image
And Nancy's site
Image
Looking down behind me are the tail ends of Wendy and Carol's rigs (note some sites are more crowded that others)
Image
We settled in at Carol's on Thursday to await Nancys arrival as she was delayed in Nashville.
Image
Carol was the only one with a car ad she generously agreed to take us to see famous tree house after we dropped Pepper off at doggie day care
This is what it looks like as you approach.
Image
The ladies reading about tree house. It is built around an 80 foot white oak with six other supporting trees
Image
Of course we found someone to take a group shot
Image
The tree house is 100 feet tall and has 98 steps to the top where there is a bell tower. Carol was the first to decide to climb up
Image
There is an interesting swing that goes all the back into a breezeway. The children would not give it up for us to try
Image
TH estimated to be between 8000 and 10000 sq ft. It was started i 1993 and finished 11 years later. It contains over 258,000 nails and wore out 3 nail guns during construction
Image
Private quarters off to one side
Image
I did not climb to the top but all the others did. You will have to bug then for photos from up there. Know there is one of the Jesus garden that can only be seen from top.
After returning we had a doggie gtg. Everyone was stuffed from late lunch in town so no dinner tonight. Just realized no photos of food anywhere. However, I can promise we have been eating very well.
Image
Just chilling out
Image
Bob decided to join us for a minute as his shaving had been interrupted anyway
Image
Bob and Carol left Saturday morning. Later in the day, Wendy got new neighbor with pen full of pups
Image
and their own bright pink golf cart
Image
We started a small campfire and waited for the Super Moon to rise
