Last Monday in April

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Last Monday in April

Postby Irmi » Mon Apr 30, 2012 10:20 am

Good morning everyone!

There is less than an hour left and it will be noontime, so I'm going to open my kitchen for breakfast or brunch, whichever you prefer. The coffee is ready as is the tea and fruit juice. There is also an assortment of fresh fruit, toast and eggs.

It's still chilly in MD and quite overcast. We have rain moving into the area tonight and tomorrow but with it, we'll have warmer temperatures. We're going to be in the upper 80's by the end of the week with lots of sunshine. Hopefully the warmer weather will put me in the mood to get more work done outside.

I know there are a bunch of ladies here that are beginning their trips to Alaska for the summer. Hopefully they'll be able to stay in touch with us on their journey. Kathleen is still visiting with Sarah and then will continue her trip home. Shirl has a cold but made an appointment with her doctor as she doesn't want to miss out on the GTG next week to meet up with Soos in Fredericksburg VA. We'll be leaving next week Wednesday for the same GTG and hopefully Paulette can join us for a day or so.

Please take care of yourselves, wherever you are and whatever you are doing.

Good Morning Irmi... thank you for the good coffee... Sarah and I have been gabbing having coffee and orange juice for hours... I came home to get some cottage cheese and relax...
I did not know but had left the door open a couple of inches and the bugs came in and bit me all night... I got very little sleep... will make sure I have the door closed tight tonight!!
Oh my Sarah just bought me over a big dish of strawberries... I cleaned them and now have cool whip and strawberries... that is a great top for breakfast...
Not sure what today holds but it will be relaxing for sure... I pull out for TN to see my friends Janie and El, tomorrow... most likely will not do the whole 200 miles in one day for some reason I have slowed down real far...
I hope you get some of the garden planted during the hot days Irmi... mmm mmm good tomatoes fresh are wonderful!
Have a great day everyone

Just a little coffee and updating the computers this morning. Off to the dentist this p.m. Then getting ready to pull out in the morning for NW Oklahoma. Weather shows it should be okay. Should is the operations word here. They got hammered last night. We had a bit of rain early this morning about 3:30.

You ladies getting ready to hit the road, be safe and have fun while your going down that road.

Good afternoon all. CArol and I spent the day doing errands in preparation for departure. Bank visit, Walmart run, drugstore, and I had a lot of fun helping CArol spend her money at the Verizon Store. I'll let her tell you what she bought there.

It's beautiful here in western NC....cool overnight, high 80s today. Washed my rv yesterday and waxed the cab over. Bought more wax today and will try to wax some more when it cools off. Lotta territory to cover there.

Glad you avoided the worst weather so far, Birdie. Hope you have fair winds on your next leg. (well maybe not "winds." There is a nice museum in Woodward.

GOOD LATE AFTERNOON TO ALL!

Shirl had better be better by a week from today so she can meet us in Fredericksburg on Wednesday, Irmi! I am sending healing thoughts her way! I will make sure to have enough recipe for a serious cough, in case she might need some!

I screened my soffits against squirrels today, went to Lowes to replace the nasty (new it was, too) staple gun I was using to fasten the screening which kept jamming and jamming, so I took it apart. I KNEW it would have a spring somewhere inside, and sure enough-----POP! Out came all the guts all over the kitchen! Sooo....I tried for about 20 minutes to figure out how it went together, opened up one more part which sproinged apart again, and then headed to Lowes for another one----a different brand! The new one is harder to squeeze (fire) but does not jam, so the job went a helluva lot more quickly. I Zip-locked the other stapler and all its parts and will bring it to Goog to give him something to puzzle over for a long time, and then he will have a staple gun!

The check fom the oil company I was waiting for came today in the late afternoon mail, thank heavens, so tomorrow I will deposit it and now I can leave any time. This will help pay for my gas home. Goog will go to doc's tomorrow, and then back to work provided he is given the OK, so I will probably stay here until the garbage pickup Friday morning, do all the last minute things to leave this house, and head to St. Cloud Friday late morning. Saturday I will check tire pressure and top it off on the trailer, hitch up, and get ready to pull out Sunday morning. Like Pete, I like traveling on Sundays through cities like Jacksonville.

The weather and the swimming has been absolutely fantastic here, and it kills me to have to leave. But, summer and the thundershower season is almost here, and I will be happy to leave that to others.

Happy trails to all on the roads. Kath, don't forget to close your door tonight!

Happy travels!
