Good morning, ladies
I missed Kath earlier even tho I was up at 5:30. Its never too early for coffee, in fact I just finished off my pot.

Friday night was my first time to spend night in Magic since getting her home; it was Nickys first night ever. Neither of us got much sleep. He is very ill at ease and paced most of the night. He doesn't like being on leash either. However last night was a different story. We both got a decent nights sleep and he even used his new bed tho I don't think he likes being on the floor instead of in my bed. It probably didn't help matters that I forgot to feed him too. He has been really good, no barking at all and I'm relieved about that.
The campground is almost full this weekend and there were a couple of big parties last night - one with live music. Lots of campfires late into the night but even with the parties, it was relatively quite by 10:00 PM.

Kath and I had a pretty laid back day yesterday. We did make a Wal-Mart run and on the way passed one of the local road side strawberry stands. Will likely feast on strawberries all day. I will try to get some photos before the weekend is over.

Car wash crew will be here at 9:00 to give Magic a bath.

Wishing all a great day.

Good morning Kathleen, Sarah & all who follow!

Kathleen & Sarah, I'm so glad you were able to spend some time together! Enjoy the strawberries!

It's still chilly in MD. The mornings have started off in the high 30's to low 40's all week and we can't get much warmer than the mid 60's. But if I can hang in there just a couple more days, we're supposed to see temperatures in the 70's and possibly 80 degrees later this week. I'm looking forward to getting my veggie plants in the ground once it warms up some. I have over 30 tomato plants that I started from seeds that are in their hot house which are coming along nicely. They'll make lots of spaghetti sauce later this summer.

Since it's going to be warmer today than it has been for awhile, we're going to try to get some work done in the yard.

Have a great day everyone!

GOOD MORNING KATH, SARAH, IRMI, AND ALL!

It's another hot day already down here in sunny Orlando, and my plans are to spend my afternoon time back in the swimming pool. Soon I think I will have to shut my doors and windows and turn on my AC, much as I dislike that. I always feell so isolated when everything is shut up and the hum of that machine is on. Hwever, the heat and humidity make AC so very necessary in order to feel comfortable at all down here in the summers, I know. This unit I have is 30 years old and still running srong. (Knock on wood) I had an estimate for replacing it last year, and 3,000 bucks or more was the quote----so I will let this old unit chug along for as long as it will.

Forecast is for heat and humidity today, with possible rain coming in mid-week----right when I need to get out of here and head to the trailer for my final travel preps. Oh well---in the meantime, I will make good use of the pool and will ride my bike in this nice flatness of these great roads. Ribs are good enough now to be able to ride again for a bit.

I hope you all will have a fun Sunday laughing as much as possible.
Life is about learning to dance in the rain
Happy travels!

Morning all,
Breakfast here is oatmeal with walnut, slivered almonds, raisins, and sweetend with cinnamon sugar and to drink Breakfast Blend coffee.

Looks like it may rain a little here in Lawton, OK. Certainly missed the rash of storms that blew thru "western and southwestern" Oklahoma last night and I sweated it out in my rig until they said they were calming down. I am happy about that...a little farther SW they had golf ball sized hail with wind in excess of 60 mph.

Headed out today after the rain passes. Will stay in OKC for a couple of nights and get a tooth filled. Then......I'll head North by North West....Alaska warm up and thaw out!!

Those on the road please be careful - watch the other guy. If you are parked, have fun, do fun things, or veg out.

good morning ladies.. we're planting a hill of St. John's Wart today. Hopefully the SJW will take over, choke out the weeds and stop erosion. We have the balance of our veggie starts in the little greenhouse on the porch getting used to outside temperatures before they go into the garden beds. Soon we'll plant the bush beans and fall squash seed. This afternoon I'm going to try to crochet a rug with plarn. I've never tried this before, my rugs are usually made with old sheets but I want something for outside under the carport. I'm using jute along with the plarn for color and thinking it might give it more texture. Have a great day everyone!

Morning' Ladies,

No offense, Birdie, but Kathleen's breakfast sounds better to me. I know oatmeal is good for you, but yuck says my tummy. We are going to have Toaster Strudel again. That is all Chuck ever wants for breakfast, so that is what we're having. Sausage, eggs, gravy and biscuits sounds really good to me, but Toaster Strudel it is.

He played a dirty trick on me this morning. We went to bed a little after 2 this am since he slept so much yesterday. Woke up about 4 to check on him. He woke up about 6 and was ready to sit up and watch TV. Got him settled and then with 2 of the dogs laid down in our bed. After I went back to sleep, he shut the door so I couldn't hear anything. I slept so hard until 8:45. Woke up in a panic because I could not hear him. Went flying into livingroom. He was sitting there drinking coffee and watching an Audy MUrphy western. He had made a really good pot of coffee, of which I am about to get my second cup. He is feeling pretty good today.

Since I was so lazy yesterday, got a lot to do today. Tahra and her girls are coming today. They always come every other weekend. So glad since all the grandkids are growing up so fast. I will miss seeing them so often when I get on the road.

Hope everyone has a wonderful day!

morning from Ohio. I still have another week of work and then I will start the last round of appointments and start packing for Alaska. Departure date has not been set yet. I like my jello sloppy it seems.

I have been to the store and beat the crowds...so I have food. Herschel is snoring next to my chair. Stuart needs a bath and a groom for his "library" job on Tuesday evening. Even children would notice reading to a dirty dog. Shaggy part they would not care. Herschel will be happy to know that Nicky has begun to adapt to his new home on wheels. (He also recommended bring food along....but figured that Sarah was already feeling guilty about that. :? )

Hope the weather provides what ever any of you need for today's journeys..... "No hail" is sort of a given. :)

Stay safe but have some good adventures out there on the roads of life......

good morning ladies
working on the last of my pot of coffee, then I can start on my raspberry tea for the afternoon :D
not much going on here, started my uniform shirts in the washer as I did not do them yesterday. The machine
dings at me and I'm thinking its time to take them out and hang so I ignore it just a few minutes and it starts
dinging like crazy, huh? whats that all about? So I go in and check it out...it was trying to fill for the rinse
cycle and theres no water. I go outside and the handyman is out there working on the pipes
Wish he would have told me his plans so I could have told him MINE! Son will give him a piece of his mind
when he wakes up however the handyman is doing what he was told, just needs to let folks know before
you shut the water off.
My tummy is asking for toast w/jam. Ya'll have a great day and be safe.

The dogs are following DBF through the house - glad they are picking on someone else. If you stop suddenly, you are liable to get goosed with Jazzy LOL

I stayed up late last night so I'm being lazy this morning - well that coupled with I had no clean underwear - oops! I guess I pushed off attacking Mt. Maytag a little too long. So I have clothes in the washer - and they made it through to the rinse cycle just fine :D Now I need to go put them in the drier.

Cloudy here and the humidity is way up but we aren't supposed to have rain until later in the week. I think summer is truly on it's way to TX now.

Morning, all -
Sunday is hearty breakfast day, so it's ham and eggs. Just this year they've established a fairly decent Farmer's Market here, so we're able to farm eggs reliably now.

The Long Goodbye continues - went to a dinner party with old friends last night, trying not to think that that might be the last time I see these wonderful people. Some of the realities of full-timing are starting to belatedly sink in. The current schedule is to hit the road sometime in the latter part of June.

In the meantime, it's sort, pitch, donate, pack and eat. Dinners have become pretty creative (even by my standards) as we potluck out of the pantry in an attempt to clean it out. A Japanese friend who moved from here gave me a lot of Japanese foods out of her pantry when she moved, so some of our dinners are Japanese Surprise since I can't always make sense of the labels.

Stay safe on the roads and send rain!

I thought I had my urge to dig in the dirt under control but the pictures of the garden have me thinking about planting something. We have some tubs that cow feed came in and my DH planted a tomato plant in one. Yesterday I stopped at Lowes to pick up something and they have a lot of vegetable plants. I bought 3 yellow squash plants. I didn't tell him what I bought because I don't want any help planting them. We would have been out there last night trying to plant them in the dark. If he thinks about something it has to be done right now. He is waiting on someone to come pick up some calves and has been in and out so many times. He doesn't wait very well. I can put things off forever and it drives him crazy.

I don't know what I will do today. If I had made it to Walmart yesterday to buy some worms I would go fishing at the pond but I'm not driving to town just for worms. You would think that I could dig some up but I have tried many places and I haven't found a good place yet. I forgot to look for something to fix the cat tree. I put up a new one not that long ago and they have already shredded the carpet. It's mostly cardboard so don't know if I stapled new carpet to it that it would hold.

Be careful on the road Birdie, it looks like more rain for Oklahoma with some warnings.
