Those of you who never use your gas furnaces, must also never boondock. You can't use the electric when boondocking, unless you plan to run your generator every time you want heat. It's very important to me that my furnace works. I always had to be super careful how often I ran mine, because it does take battery power, and I only had one battery - would run it down fast.
That said, I wouldn't be without my little electric heaters when I have hookups and the electric is paid for with them.
