Saturday brrrrr

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Saturday brrrrr

Goooood Morning Sistahs!

Brrrrrr it's freaking cold on my back porch this morning. Thermometer says it's 10 degrees out there and we got a heavy frost too. Dang! I will have to go out and fire up the Blazer to let it warm up a bit before we leave for work. Think I'll spray the windows with deicer too.

Mandatory 8hrs of overtime today. This is our weekend off so we have to work the 8hrs. At least we will get off at 5pm today instead of 7pm. All I want to do is go back to bed this morning!!! I sat here this morn in front of the laptop and dozed off for over a 1/2hr. Talk about having a kink in your neck. LOL

Coffee is all done and waiting on ya'll. I gotten a few cups out of it but ya'll know that it's bottomless. Got the Biscotte out, have some cinnamon rolls and donuts too this morning. Was thinking about doing glad bag omlets too if anyone is interested??? All the fixins are here.

Ok time to get dressed and go get the Blazer started, Kelly is finally in the shower! Dang kid likes to wait till the last minute then go out the door with wet hair. sheesh!

Hope everyone has a great day and stays safe.

Love to all

good morning ladies
slept pretty good for a change, woke up feeling rested and ready to challenge the
day. Have to rearrange the livingroom area just a little, got a glider rocker on
Thursday and its still in my car, so when I get the livingroom ready for it I can
bring it in. Little gal at work had a baby and it was a gift to her but she is afraid
of the baby getting her fingers in it when she starts crawling so she "regifted"
the chair, its like brand new! I've wanted one for about 30 years so now I finally
have one. It will fit nicely in the space where I took out the sofa with room to
spare of course. She did do the proper thing though and checked with the people
that gave it to her to see if they wanted it back and explained her fear.
Not alot of chores to do today so it will be an easy Saturday. :P I just might find
something to do for fun.
Ok, coffee smells good and biscotti is waiting for me, only one type of biscotti I
could get at the store, the turtle pecan, all the rest have almonds and almonds
triggers a migraine but the biscotti is very good so thank you for that discovery.
Will cruise my forums and then pull the washer out of the corner and do the laundry.
Have a great day and be safe.

Good Saturday Morning, Everybody!

Echo....I can't believe that TN is as cold as we are up here in the North Country! What's up with that!!! It's 7 deg. F. on my deck this morning, with a light dusting of new snow. My plans for the day are to make a dump run and cook another turkey for myself. I got addicted to the stuff at Thanksgiving! Also go for a ski, if it gets a tad warmer when the sun comes up.

Thanks for the coffee and goodies! However, I am drinking Hazlenut Creme coffee here, and will finish the other half of my remaining pistachio muffin!

Hope we all have a great Saturday. I am wishing a Saturday in the future will be a day off for Echo!!!

Good Morning! That is strange..10* in TN and 26* in SD....something just ain't right! But I can cope with it! Weather seems to be strange all over. Have plenty to do today if I just get it done. Decorated the tree last night, bought a new prelite slim line tree this year. Oh my.. did not having to put on lights ever speed up the process. DH says he likes the old tree better, but he's out of luck cuz I gave it and some lights and decorations to the correctional officer I carpool with cuz his ex got the Christmas tree and he wanted to have a tree for his daughter to decorate at his house but he's a little tight on funds right now. Anywoo, I still have the boxes strung all over the living room so have to pack that mess up and then get some other decorations out. My mind keeps telling me I can do everything that I need to get done today but I think my body is going rear it's ugly head and rebel. I have some caramel rolls if anyone is interested. The coffee is black and tastes mighty good and to think I used to hate the stuff! Have a good day.
My mind works like lightning...one brilliant flash and it's gone.

Hello all - wow I am still logged on this time so have to post. It's only 6:20 here in Vegas - I'm watching the sun come up over the mountains. Cold too - low 40s. Turned the heater on and it is throwing out real nice heat without the bowling convention sounds it made before new blower motor. We are up so early waiting for a guy to come look at the satellite TV - we've got a King Dome that doesn't latch on to the satellite and Bill hates to put up the dish! So we'll see - maybe the mice ate the wires. Sure are thankfull the problems we had with the fuel filter and sensor happened here in Vegas and not out in the middle of no where -

24° here,..... pretty chilly, and still no snow on ground. The little bit we got didn't last. But that's ok,..... makes it easier to get around.

I'm on third cuppa, and doing laundry. will wrap some gifts today, and write cards. May even get out some decorations. I won't put the tree up until a week before christmas.

have a great day everyone,..... stay warm!
(Echo,.. if it's your weekend OFF,.. how come you HAVE to work overtime?....geeeesh, gal,.. get another job! We don't want you going down in flames here! We are worried about you!)

Good morning ladies. It was 28 this morning here in Texas. Brrrr.

Liz, so happy to hear you're cancer free for so long and could get your port taken out. I predict a long, happy life for you.

Echo, we're still waiting to hear if you and Kelly have heard anything on your new job yet. Have my fingers crossed for you.

I'm feeling pretty cocky here - all my Christmas shopping done and WRAPPED!!! My only decorations are lights on awning and a wreath on the front of the RV. Its a funny one - when someone walks by eyelids lift and mouth opens and it sings a Xmas carole. I turned it off last week when there were so many kids here for Thanksgiving. They discovered it and kept setting it off and believe me, once is cute - constantly is annoying.

I put some foam covering on my water hose yesterday but couldn't find either of the two rolls of duct tape I have so have asked my daughter for FIVE rolls for Xmas. How isit possible to keep losing stuff in only 30' of RV?

Well, dogs need to go out.

I don't know what the temp was when I got up this am. The sun was out and the wind wasn't blowing - so whatever it was, felt so much warmer than the previous morning when the winds made it brittle. It's up to 59 now - higher than the high yesterday - and will get up to mid 60's today - yippee! Will be in 70 or better the next couple days before we get another windy/cold snap.

This morning Sparkle and I went over to the rec hall for breakfast and the crafts fair. We both bought something - me a gift for someone, Sparkle a gift for self :) Then we came back and got Peaches and went for a long walk through the park (took her to see the flamingo family at one site) and then to the beach for a long walk on the beach. Peaches is now exhausted - sound asleep on the sofa :)

Going to work on some website stuff, then read a bit this afternoon - then will meet Sparkle tonight to go to bingo. She's addicted - so whenever there's bingo - we'll be going.

Have fun all - and stay warm.

Good afternoon! A friend and I started this morning by going to the Kiwanis' Pancake Breakfast. Money goes to help needy kids go to summer camp. After that I went to the mall to pick an angel off the "Giving Tree." I decided to give my kids & family cash this year, so had no shopping I had to do. I picked a 74 year old woman to shop for. You could pick kids or seniors. Now I have to wrap my purchases and bring them back to the mall. I'm all set to watch the Gators play for the SEC championship, relaxing in my recliner with an ice pack on my stitches. Tonight is the night of our local Christmas parade, but I won't be going to that. I sat through the cold enough times when my kids were marching in it...now I watch on TV.

Thanks for all your well-wishes yesterday. God has been very good to me.
