Hello Ladies!

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Hello Ladies!

Postby Angelinakruse » Wed Apr 18, 2012 4:51 am

I went shopping for a trailer/truck camper/ fifth wheel the other day, and of course I walked away with a different view on things. RV's tend to be expensive here in SW Florida, as compared to the Midwest. I might make a trip up North to pick one out. I went, originally, looking at 14ft travel trailers as the idea of a truck camper was squashed. Sounds easier though. Walked away with wanting more than a 14ft travel trailer. I'm trying to watch what I need vs what I want and it is soooo hard somedays. Any advice about where to look, let me know.
I drove by a camp site the other day, and I took notice to how many travel trailers and 5th wheels were on the lots. LOTS of 5th Wheels. I better listen to that. Oh the decisions. Help if you can - I would love it! Have a great day Ladies!!

Good Morning Angelina and all who follow,

Thanks for starting Coffee this morning. Chilly here at the 45th but looks like a fairly mild day coming up with some showers later on.
Yesterday was cold and with the wind that was blowing, the morning was downright cold. Temps barely made it above 40 degrees and the wind chill was 16 when i headed off to work. Was cold working out in the park until later in the afternoon when the sun came out. But goes with the territory when you have a park to get ready for summer.

Kathleen, hope you are feeling better and are able to get on the road for home pretty soon. Just take your time and rest on the way. Also hope you get to see Wendy and Sarah.

Amgelina, I went through the same thing you are when I was looking for an RV. Thought I wanted to truck camper but threw that one out the window as being too small for me and my two dogs. Looked at 5er's but hadn't pulled a trailer by myself before so didn't want to go to big. Nor did i want to worry about height issues and being too long to get into some campsites. So i settled on a Rockwood Mini Lite 1809 which is 22ft. counting the hitch. Has a sofa slide and plenty of room to move around, plus an abundance of storage.Easy to tow and get into campsites etc. I used that for almost three years and this summer, due to financial reasons and time constraints, I have decided to sell it as I plan to travel out west in two years and want something different to do that. So it's over at a dealers near here as they have a brokerage service. I just don't have time with work and my schedule to deal with Craigslist and people who might want to come see it. I''ll be working weekends and might be doing both mornng and afternoon shifts as well, so too hard to arrange a meeting time. The dealer is just a couple of miles from here. But there are some beautiful 5ers out there these days and also some really nice TT's as well. I will be looking again myself around the latter part of next summer to see what i come up with to take the trip the following year.

Right now it's about time to head off to work and see what we are going to get into today. We've been cleaning up debris and branches from some trees that were cut down and also doing more leaf blowing. Our Soutch campground is ready to go and next week Friday, we will open it up for the season. We are getting quite a bit of stuff done this month so far and the list is getting shorter by the day. Beiggest thing is to finish leaves. Will probably do some today too.

So guess I had better get going here. Have to answer a call of "nature" before I head out the door and finish getting dessed. When it's cold like it is now, I wear coveralls over my jeans as extra insulation, but don't think I will wear them today as it's supposed to be in the 50's and low 60's later on here.

Have a wonderful day everyone. Those having health issues or taking care of sick loved ones, you have my prayers.

Good Morning. Sitting here in St. Augustine, Fl. Only suppose to get 72 today so it will be nice. Dogs love walking through this park, of course we must do that 3 to 4 times a day. LOL

Got an appointment to get the oil changed in my generator and then get my solar panel put on top. So got everything ready to head to Alaska. I am ready to go NOW!!

Have a great day, time for me to get to my meeting.

Good morning Everyone !!!! I wrote a nice post, (I thought nice ), the other day and lost it, so not sure of even trying this morning. But should try to let you all know I am still around  :? Then I need to get busy. Have crossed several things off of list of things to do before Ak trip. So I feel a little ambition this morning :o

So nice to see a newbie in our morning thread, Welcome to the forum Angelina and hopefully in reading of others experiences here and visitng dealers or even ads in the paper you will gather info for what will be best for you and your daughter. Good Luck !!!! And please come back to our morning post often.

Since I was last on, Maggie and I, have had a lovely trip , enjoyed some really nice walks and just got away from this place for two days. So, ok, it was a trip to fix sensors for holding tanks on 'Thor', hey we enjoyed and now hopefully we could drive out of here today (don't I wish). Also, sold my old r.v., which now I don't have to worry about it setting here and going totally to pot over the summer. That would break my heart, it might be old, but was in good repair and looks great yet, not ready for the junk yard. These people camp all the time, so will be well used, I really feel good about this.

So good to see you post Kathleen, hope you are feeling better this morning, make sure you're ready for the roadtrip, and keep us posted, we will worry you know? Its raining and cloudy here, think you were coming up somewhere in N.C., so today is not the best traveling day anyway, rest up and have a safe trip my friend. I have a 30amp plug in and a place to park , if you're this way, hint, hint !!! :D

Have a great day ladies, do something fun for yourself, but whatever or wherever you are, stay safe please.
Take care all,
CArol :)

Good morning ladies. Enjoying 2nd cup of coffee. Looks like it's going to be a good day. It's really pretty outside and I have a new job as "door person" for Belle. She's been in and out about 10 times in the last 40 minutes or so.

Hope everyone has a wonderful day,
