Somewhere in my "stuff" on this rig - it does have a recommended weight limit on the overcab bed. Have no memory of what it was - something like 300 lbs - which I'll never come close to - so don't worry about it. Well, listen to me say that - then watch me toss more and more up there as I'm prone to do - but mainly lightweight stuff.

Her rig is similar to mine so I'm thinking her spare is like mine, underneath. A very weird and hard place to get to, for sure. Someone (a man? ;) ) didn't think that thru.....

Image But I'm only bringing ONE SMALL dutch oven...just enough for ONE person. I ain't cookin' for no mean person...

There might be a spot under the rig...I did look. I do know that some rigs load them under there..... But it is so grungy, rusty and ACK under there.... I know that someone from Coach Net would be the one crawling under to get it but I am not sure I could do that to another human being. :? When I am towing the car...it can just ride back there.....

Mitch..that still leave those two lanterns.....

They are used to it - so don't worry about that. If it can be put there - and it's out of YOUR way - go for it. (mean, aren't I?) And I don't recommend you keep it in the car - you never know when - even when towing the car, the two might be apart and that be the time you need it. So, since you need to move it this once - make it permanent .... hahaha - am I sounding like I'm giving orders?

Yeah, and after a LONG day of either driving or exploring, it's dark and we're a bit tired and VERY hungry (when is a sistah not hungry?), and my campsite, well lighted, has the most delicious smells wafting through the air...too bad there's only enough to feed ONE.

Beth, you are always welcome to give me opinions and even orders :D and I am always welcome to consider them and do what I want. And you can even "tisk" your tongue afterwards if you want. :D That is what I love best about the intelligent women on this forum!

* I am just remembering the younger me that I had to survive to get to the me that can wade through other's opinions knowing that they don't have to be mine. :) I guess if Lenora is going to let the repair guy rescue her in Oregon by crawling under the rig in the rain....I could consider it on some dusty road out west...... Might go over to the repair shop and have a discussion tomorrow.....

Mitch...you did remember how many hours of day light we are going to have in Alaska, right? ...And I am working hard to fit back into some of my clothes as it is.....so as much as I love your cooking, my knees and ankles tell me that I may have to stay 15 feet away from your rig. I'll be busy trying to get Stuart to get out of the lakes......

Tina - I love the modifications you've had done. Know you have been wanting to open the cab over area for a long time now; must feel great to have it complete. Don't forget to add some photos when you get it all loaded up.
