Reminder for all on the Road this Summer

Discover card is ending a 5% off on gas today - but starting another 3 month period July - Sept. Believe me, that 5% is a lot with the gas prices what they are now. I made sure to fill the tank yesterday. And I'll be sure to use my Discover card for the trip back from Alaska. Probably will continue using it for the lower percentage now - but definitely then.

For those who think using a credit card is hard, because then the money isn't saved, you can always pay it as you use it - or put aside the money somewhere each time you get gas. It doesn't do any good if you carry a balance - that will take that 5% away quickly.

I don't have a Discover card, but am dependent on my Visa. I pay it off each month and will use that as my diesel card. Sorry about the timing of the 5% for you

I, like Sharon, do not have a Discover card, but use my Chase Visa card for all purchases and pay bal at end of month. Chase Visa gives % points that you can cash in for cash. Every quarter they give a certain % on most items and 5% on other items, which changes quarterly. Those points can add up quick.

I use discover too, however, yesterday I was running late getting Destiny to nearest town for new tires and only put half a tank in, darn it!
