RV Show Saturday

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

RV Show Saturday

Postby Colliemom » Sat Mar 31, 2012 7:34 am

Good Morning,

Echo must be sleeping in this mornng or else getting ready to go to work. Has to take her shower before Kelly closes the bathrooms down for cleaning as she said. Hope your day went well yesterday, Echo.

A cloudy day here this morning, but going to become partly cloudy as the day goes on. We had some rain/snow mix yesterday and it left a dusting on the leaves in the woods in my backyard and just a bit on the tips of the bushes. Was hit and miss even with that. But we need the moisture, so no complaints. I just stayed home and vegged yesterday. Got the board cut to size for my Summer Welcome sign, sanded it down, made the lettering template and have the letters in place and already painted on. Next step will be to just add my decorations and then poly it. This sign is not taking as long. Think cause I finally got a routine going with them.

But today is is play day. I"m leaving later on here for Traverse City to go to the little RV show over there. There are supposed to be about 50 rigs and 15 brands represented. Just from the local dealers around up here. There's not enought room over at the arena for a big full scale show. The honor for that goes to Detroit. But it's fun just going in and out of the rigs and looking things over along with like minded people doing the same thing. I'm not buying, just looking. Have done this for years, even with my parents before we moved permanently to northern Michigan. Used to go to the big RV show in Detroit just for fun. But hey, never know what one will find.

So with that in mind, I am going to run along here. Need to get cleaned up, hair washed etc. and then vamoose. It's an hour's drive over. Hope you all have a great day no matter what you are doing. Get all the doc appts. and what not out of the way. Summer's coming, time to hit the road again.

Good Morning,

I don't get here often, but like to say "good morning" to all when I am able. :D

Today, I will be rounduping around the homestead, then off to target shooting with a couple of friends.

GOOD MORNING SISTAHS!!!

Thanks for getting the coffee going this morning Sue! I sure needed it this morning. Have been up almost an hour and moving really slow. I swear that except for my 'feet' every bone and muscle in my body aches! Stopped at a convenience store on the way home last night and when I slide out of the truck I thought I was gonna continue sliding right down to the pavement. OHHH!  It felt so good to get into the truck and just sit I guess I should have gotten a clue from that! Walked into the store like I was 112yrs old. Closed last night so I learned some of closing breakdown. I know my feet sure did get soaked from the other dishwasher using the hose! Did get one heck of a compliment from the Team Lead, that's what they call the bosses of the places. She and the 3rd in charge person told me that it seems already like I've been working there all along and that I'm a perfect 'fit' to the rest of the crew!!! Sure made me feel good!!!! :D So I am really hoping that I can 'live' up to that compliment!! It poured big time yesterday with booming thunder so they shut down the rides and the majority of the the crowd left the park but also I think a bunch of them hit the restaurant too. We sure did get busy during and after the rain storm! :D :D

I go back in today at 1pm for more of the same. Everyone says that we have been having easy days and that today is gonna be busy because of course it's Saturday. And they have all warned me about "Kids Fest" and said that is gonna be wild! Talked to Mel, he is second Team Lead who is gonna be taking over the 1st Lead spot in under 2 weeks as the gal is quitting and moving back to FL. But after this schedule is done I will be having Tues and Weds off. WOOHOO! I do get this Tues and Easter Sunday off and am really looking forward to that!

OK off to do some reading and catching up! Hope everyone has a super great day and stays safe.

Love to all

good morning ladies
its warming up in Phoenix way too early, its suppose to be 90 degrees today :o Sure hope the weather report is wrong. I'm just not
ready for that yet. Have been fighting with my computer all week, don't know if its the computer itself or my browser. I cleaned
out my cache, cookies, etc and that made it even worse. Its taking way too long to load stuff, so todays agenda is putting a bunch
of my games and things on flash drive and totally go over everything with a fine tooth comb. My next theory after that is something
wrong with my wifi, although its only 4 months old but my other theory is that its working, so it must not be broke  (kinda like
your either pregnant or your not) Also on the agenda today....going to go over to meet a couple of elderly ladies that are hiring me
as their driver to run them around for errands and such. This opportunity just sort of fell into my lap, so we will see how things
go.
Other than all that, normal routine laundry and shopping today.
Ya'll have a great day and good weather :D

GOOD MORNING TO ALL!

Another stellar sunny, low-humidity day here in Orlando, with the possibility of some afternoon showers, which we all are praying for. I cannot imagine going back to a place where every day is usually overcast, or raining, or snowing, or sleeting, or whatever but sunny, but I have locked myself in now to leave April 22nd. I made reservations at a KOA on the FL/GA border for two nights on that Sunday and Monday, the 22nd and the 23rd, and then on to the Charleston GTG on Tuesday. Each leg of the journey is only about 200 miles, which is perfect for someone with ribs still healing, and I am hoping they will be vastly better by then. After that, I will look at my maps and decide where to stop for the nights on my northward. All of these plans also depend on what the weather looks like during that week----bad tornadic activity will put a halt on all plans.

I finished my screen room modifications yesterday, and I tried Dinah out there this morning. She headed imediately for the screen section where she had been able to weasel out before, and stopped cold when her nose hit the vinyl hardware cloth! She then tried the other panels, and found them also qite secure! As long as I don't leave her alone for a period of time out there now, I can feel quite sue she won't be outside in a heartbeat as she was able to do before. She really loves being tied to the palm tree out front nearly all day, anyway, where there is shade, water, kids playing, and neighbors coming and going. I will be happy to get back to the trailer where she can run loose, however, as I need to try a remote zapper collar to see if she will respond to "COME" when I need to stop her cold on a nose-to-the-ground chase----something people say is nearly impossible with a hunting dog like her. We shall see, and then, if it does work, I will invest in a tow dog remote with two color coded collars so I can take both of them for walks in the woods back home. If not, Dinah will always be a leashed dog except for where there is a fenced-in area.

I just got of Skype with my little Orion and Mandy, and I am really looking forward to being able to pick him up and squeeze him!

Congrats to you, Echo, for a job well done and the acolades you are getting!

Have a fun time at the RV show, Sue, and pick up lots of brochures to scan and share!

Ava, hope you can find the resolution for your computer slowness, and then share it with me!

Happy Saturday to all, and the last day of March it is! Reminds me always of Judy Collins's song, "Where does the time go?" (Which always makes me teary.)

Morning ladies! I've already run my errand for the day and still have a lot to do,to get ready to pull out of here tomorrow for a few days. Just can't seem to find my motivation for some reason.

Soos, if ya happen to stop anywhere near exit 77 on 95 when heading home, give me a shout. I'm close and would love to meet up for a cuppa something or lunch or whatever. Actually, exit 84 might even be better as they have a cracker barrel or a bit further north is the Maryland house, I think it is called. It's a travel plaza between the northbound and southbound lanes of 95. Anyway, if not, wave and holler! I just might hear ya!

Echo, so glad to hear that the job is going good. I'm sure your body will fall in line soon and it will feel like no big deal!

Sue, have fun looking at RVs.

It's overcast and threatening rain here today. Maybe that's what my problem is?

Irmi and Steve, welcome home.
Guess I'd better get busy here, motivation or not!

Hope everyone has a wonderful day.

All these people on the move. I don't move until Tuesday - but mine are all out and backs for now. I will be at Pedernales Falls Tuesday - Friday then at McKinney Falls Friday night.

And before that, I need to attack Mt. Maytag, finish my mod project on the Land Dinghy and clean the clutter up, clean out the truck, write a paper, take an assessment test, continue reading and start my next paper. Small stuff... oh and fit in a trip to the grocery store.

Hi ladies!

It's past noontime on the east coast, but thought I should check in. Steve & I are back at our home in MD and have been working our butts off cleaning out the motorhome and getting the yard back in shape. Because of the mild winter, the grass was way beyond the first cutting stage and the weeds are horrendous. We had some work done on the house while we were gone, but it's not all complete. I guess we could have stayed away longer, but the yard wouldn't wait. It's unbelieveable the closed up smell a house gets when no one is home. Unfortunately, it's too cool to open windows to let fresh air in, but we're getting there.

If anyone ever leaves the Florida area and needs to head north on 95, Nan showed us how to get around Jacksonville on 301 and we were able to bypass the city and the drive was easy. Please think about it if your nerves get frayed going through heavy city traffic.

On a good note, my mother had a needles biopsy about a week ago for the lung cancer she was told she had, and it came back negative. She needs to go back in 3 months for another biopsy, but right now, she is thrilled and so are we.

To everyone on the road, please be safe. To those on new journey's, enjoy them. Please take care.

Great news on your Mom, Irmi.

As long as I have a friend living in Jacksonville - will continue driving through. Visiting with her last year, I learned I like that city!

Wonderful news about your mom, Irmi! I am so happy for this latest biopsy results. Celebrate while you can, for, as whatshername form Saturday Night Live said, "It's always something."

That route 301 is too far west for me to pick up, so I still plan to just take 95 from I4 right straight through Jacksonville, and hope that Sunday will not be as busy as other days. I did it this fall and also last year when on my way home, and, now that most of the construction is done on those myriads of overpasses and highways, it wasn't too bad. Of course, I had another set of eyes last year when I headed home with my daughter along. I will be going just a bit over 200 miles that first day, so shouldn't have too much trouble. (HAHAHA!)

Wish I could see LIz while she is here, but, with my deposits on my reservations for the GTG and KOA overnights, I need to save all my pennies for gas for the trip home. I suppose I will have to wait until next year

[quote="Nasoosie"] Celebrate while you can, for, as whatshername form Saturday Night Live said, "It's always something."

Soos, I loved Gilda Radner and never missed SNL and Rosanna Rosanna Dana. She said a mouthful with that "It's always somethin".

[color=#BF0000][b]Echo, we're at at your back as you acclimate to your new job...it's obvious you give your all to what you're doing. You're in one of America's most beautiful areas and now with your family all together, it's uphill from here...You are now using muscles that have been a little dormant but you will adjust. If there is a hot tub in the park, I would recommend getting in it occasionally.
