First December Wednesday!!

Postby Nasoosie » Wed Dec 03, 2008 5:39 am

GOOD MORNING, Y'ALL!!

Time to get up and start another December day. Shortest day of the year in a couple of weeks, then it's all uphill into longer daylight from there! YIPPEE!!! I like daylight!

Hazlenut coffee on this morning, with cinnamon-bun creamer! Regular coffee for the purists in the other pot! I am running late already, so will run now, and wish you all a happy Wednesday!

Molly sends a message to her 4-footed buddies on here to begin the face-licking process to get your 2-footers up for the day!!

Happy travels!

Good morning ya'll. I got a pot of grits on the stove and bacon in the skillet. That's just what sounded good this morning. I grabbed a big cup of coffee in my UT cup and am settling back in my reciiner since I am the only one up around here. Bash got her stitches out yesterday and the Dr. says she is ahead of what he expected!!!

Good morning to you Soos and Molly!

Middy and I are up at at it,.... had my o.j. and she's been out and is back inside for b'fast. I'll grab the jar of biscotti from the counter and add that to the table. Gotta keep moving,... tonight is the beginning of basketball season for me,.. our boys team plays Bolton Landing. The girls play at Bolton last night,.. I missed that game,.. just too far to drive after work. But home games for me both tonight and tomorrow night. yeehaw! Finally,... makes staying north this season worth it! DGD made a three point shot :D in a scrimmage Monday afternoon,.. so as JV player she's coming along!

I'm off to the kitchen to get my cereal and then be at school by just after 7,.... have a great day everyone!

Goooood Morning Sistahs!!!

I'm up, I'm up!! Oh goodness that regular coffee smells and tastes licious!!! I am in need of a whole pot this morning, I'm beginning to wonder if I should add an extra scoop of coffee to the fixens when I set it up at night. Wonder if that would POP my eyes open in the mornings??? Brought some cinnamon rolls for the table this morning so everybody grab a couple. I think Cedar or Lori hid the Biscotte? I'm not finding it.

Woooo weeee it's a frosty one out on the back porch this morning! Didn't snow but everything sure is covered in white out there. Even the hunk of shag rug I have out there for feet wiping is white. And it goes crunch too! :D <break> Had to take both dogs out. Thermometer says it's 4 degrees out there! Brrrrrr Now Yahoo says it's 20. Somebody or something is full of bull pucky this morn.

Well it's December and the last month of the year. Where the heck has the past year gone to? Now that it's ending it seems to have flown by. Thought we were gonna have a regular work day yesterday. But nope! They got the new files in and yep, we are still on mandatory overtime. 2hrs every night, at least 4hrs on our Fridays off and 8hrs on our weekends off. Gotta love it.

Ok need to get it in gear. Got to take a shower, check email and go get my comic fix for the day.

Hope everyone has a great day today and remember to stay safe please.

Love to all

Okay, my dogs heard Molly and licked until I got up. Yesterday morning was 28, today its 52 - go figure. The one thing about Texas weather is that if you don't like it, all you have to do is wait a few minutes and it'll change. Where is the coffee? Really need my first cup.

My Sassy has figured out that if she waits on the sofa by the door, she can get quite a few good licks in when someone comes into the rig. I bought a new doormat to warn people - its says "Beware, dog can't hold it's licker".

Glad to hear Bash is ahead of schedule mending.

Well, dogs are whining to go out. Sometimes I really wonder who's in charge here. Don't think its me.

Good Morning !
I'll take a cinnamon roll - I love those, especially if they have lots of frosting :D
It's dark here and cool but not cold - I always figure if the furnace comes on, it's cool outside. I keep the thermostat on 56 at night so it only comes on when it's chilly.
I broke down and bought a hand held GPS unit yesterday (it was on sale and a great deal) so I'm going to figure that out and print some stuff from the geocaching web site and then I plan to go "hunting" tomorrow. I also need to come up with some little things to leave behind - I know I have enough do-dads in here so I don't need to shop for anything. Oh I also need to find out if it's still Elk season here - I don't want to be walking in the woods if there are hunters out - that scares me
I hope you all have an awesome day !

Morning everyone!
Having my raspberry/chocolate coffee. I slept well, but still feel tired. Choco woke me twice during the night to go potty. He did go out and do his thing and got right back in bed! Stinker!
Sounds like everyone is well and keeping busy. Trudy, I'm excited you got a GPS! What kind did you get? Keep us posted on your first hunt, and yes, if it's still hunting season be sure to wear something bright orange, like a stocking cap. Have fun!
Today I'm checking into a new health/weight loss place my friend told me about. She has lost 55 lbs so far! I have been on many of these weight loss programs so will go in plenty sceptical.
Have a wonderful day and stay safe!

I had an interesting night last night. I was boondocking at Apache Casino in Muscalero, NM. There were signs for truck & RV parking. So there I was when there seemed to be more truckers than spaces. I moved over to the almost empty parking lot on the other side of the driveway. Lo and behold at 10 pm an animal carrier truck pulls up in the driveway right next to me. Then he directs another animal carrier truck to back up to his. They were unloading animals from one truck to the other. I'll say that truck noises are more to my liking than the noise of those animals walking on the netal flooring and the guys hollering at them to move. It took them about an hour to complete the job. Then the wind started blowing really hard. Needless to say I didn't get my 8 hours of sleep.

So this morning I was debating whether to travel on with the wind blowing. Weather.com said the winds were about 25 mph with gusts to 35. I could see some motorhomes and trailers on the highway. I was heading to Roswell so I checked the weather there. Winds 7 mph. So I figured I would go ahead. The winds did not lessen all the way to Roswell. Also, dark clouds rolled in and while I was getting gas it started to rain and then hail (not predicted).

I'm now sitting in the Escapees Park in Lakewood, NM. The sky is blue, not a cloud in the sky, but it is cold and windy.
