Wednesday and off to Gym

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Wednesday and off to Gym

Postby Colliemom » Wed Mar 28, 2012 7:45 am

Morning all,

Gee, must be some ambitious people on here from the looks of the thread titles from yesterday and today. Echo and I are both off and doing. Hope she had a good day yesterday and we will hear what it is that she will be doing at Dollywood. Things certainly seem to be falling into place for both she and Kelly.

As for me, I off to the gym this morning and then to hit the grocery store. Got to do some serious restocking aruond here before somebody thinks I am starving myself. Pantry and fridge are pretty empty. This will be my last day for gym this week as Friday I am going to a small RV show just for the heck of it. Will also probably stop by a couple of car dealers and look over Chevy Traverse. It's a debate between that, a Ford Escape or Ford Flex. Anybody driving one of these? Wondering how you like it? Any problems etc..

Got the house cleaned good yesterday, right down to the toilet tanks  Gave them a fairly good scribbinng. Look a lot better. When you have well water, they can get kind of gooky inside after a few years. Took the truck to get an oil change and lube and then off to walk the dogs. The which of, both decided to sleep with me for some reason last night. Sassy, who is a rarity on my bed was up there snuggled next to me all night. Must have wanted their "snuggle" fix or something. Took them awhile to settle down too. Once they did, they stretched out and let's just say that my space shrunk dramatically. I might have been more comfty in one of their beds  Hmmmm, maybe that was the idea, you leave and we will keep this one

Sharon, just hang in there. Before you know it, you will be back on the road again. At least this way you are getting all the appt.s out of the way etc. Too bad you don't have a campground close enough to go camp but still run to a Dr. appt.

Mitch, gas jumped up to $4.15 here yesterday  I was expecting it to, but still a shock to see it actually happen. It's the reason I am going to trade my big truck. I just can't afford to keep spending my income in the gas tank and I refuse to stop going. So for the next two years I am going to drive something with better mileage till time comes to take that big trip.

Well, enough talking nonesense this morning. Going to be on my way. Want to read some other threads and see what's new. Have a wonderful day all.

GOOD MORNING SISTAHS!!!

Well I was a bum this morning and slept in. Had my alarm set for 6:30 but........shut the thing off and went back to sleep. :D Shade finally woke me at 8:30 as she wasn't willing to wait any longer and let me sleep. Poor puppy, she feels much better now and of course is now back in bed herself.

I guess today will be house cleaning day as there is a mountain of dishes to be done and floor to be cleaned too. Kelly has to work today, for whatever reason she gets no time off this week. Yesterday was spray everything down with hot water and squeegee everything down day. Said she did not squeegee the ceiling. I think I might check out the pool today and at least dangle my feet in the water. It's not a large pool but at least it's a wet one!

With all the extra walking I've been doing and with going uphill and downhill my right knee and the muscle along side my shin bone was achy and is still a little touchy this morning. So I'm glad that I didn't have to go in today. It is now official that I am an employee of Dollywood, got my ID card and my "name pin" yesterday. Tomorrow I do in for training and work. ??? Wonder how much training I have to go thru to simply be a dishwasher? Probably just to learn what machines I will be using. I think at 57yrso I have scrubbed more than a few dishes so I am guessing that they don't have to train me how to hold a 'scrubber'. They are still looking for retail people so maybe Kelly will go over there and put in her app for a paying job. Money is gonna be extremely tight until I get my first paycheck. They pay bi-weekly, gads I hate only getting paid every two weeks much prefer weekly.~sigh~ :(

OK, enough for now gonna go see what else is going on with ya'll. Hope everyone has a grand day, good weather and that your doing whatever ya want. Be safe everyone!!!

Love to all

Sue - I think my two bed hogs hope every night that I will give up the bed. I have to remind them with some frequency it's MY bed. Even in the mornings when I get up - Oscar is right in my spot - exactly where I sit to get dressed. With him, all I have to do (once I get his attention) is point and he moves to the other side. Jazz just gets all huffy.

Oh and the big jump in gas prices - this week is the week they switch to summer blend. The switch has to be made by April 1 because of EPA regulations. And summer blend is more costly to produce. They've been saying on the news about $.20 spike over the next week. And did you know that there are well over 20 blends just to meet all the air quality regs, depending on the states or parts of the country? It's ridiculous. (used to work for BP - not in oil but knew people at the big refinery).

Crazy day at work yesterday and I don't think it's going to end today. Tomorrow is my Friday though.

My mother is having drama. She's flying with the girls next week then staying at her sister's. She has to fly with oxygen due to lung damage and the pharmacy where she rents her machine said they won't have one available, even though she made her reservation last month. Now she's contemplating buying one. My sis and I both told her to do it. She thinks that if she can't come, the girls won't be able to come either. They are 12 years old and it's a non-stop flight. They could still come.

My friend goes for her mammo and ultrasound today but doesn't see the doctor until next week. If you could spare an extra thought or prayer for her, I would appreciate it. I've seen too much breast cancer in my life with my mom and sister. I pray she doesn't have to go through that as well.

Another lazy morning for me. Just laying in bed listening to the waterfall outside my window and the birds chirping. Very relaxing!

Today is my last day at the old shop. I will be full-time at the new shop for awhile now. Hoping things start picking up there so I can make some decent tip money. Especially with my trip coming up, I will have 4 days without pay (the other 4 days are "weekend" days) so things will be very tight for awhile after I get back. I hadn't planned on being gone for a whole week but I am flying on Sun Country and they only fly to Minneapolis and back on Thursdays.

I haven't heard back about either of the ads I responded to for rooms for rent. They were both really good deals so they probably got scooped up right away. Will keep looking... I have a lot going on in April and May, so probably best to wait until after my trip to start looking again anyways. Maybe by then, my roommate will have moved the wedding date earlier again!

Hope you all have a great day!
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)
