Tuesday and got to get running

Postby Echo » Tue Mar 27, 2012 6:03 am

GOOD MORNING SISTAHS!!

There is something wrong with this posting..... It's mine and I'm the first one serving coffee this morning! Jeeze!!!! :o Maybe that's what happens when ya live on the right coast and it's morning???

Up, coffee in hand and shivering with goose bumps. brrrrr Not really to cold but chilled. Kelly left the fan on all night and it was a shocker to get out from under my nice warm blankies this morning. Have got wardrobe fitting this morning at 8:45am then orientation for the rest of the day. Need to get my butt in gear.

Hope ya'll have a great day today and remember to stay safe. Will check back in later.

Love to all

Off to work here, too, Echo. Hope everyone can help them selves to whatever they need in the kitchen. The counters are clean but can we all agree to ignore the dog hair on the floor? Have a wonderful day! Off to earn some Alaska gas money!

Good Morning ladies,

Wow, two posts already this morning. The working crowd is on the move. Echo, it's nice to see you starting a coffee thread in the morning. I'm glad you are back on the "right" coast" again. What will you be doing at Dollywood? Good luck with your fitting and orientation today. A week and a half roughly and I too will be joining the back to work crowd. In the meantime I am going to enjoy the nice weather and get a few things done that I need to do.

Tina, I know just what you mean about dog hair on the floor. Here, it's not only dog hair, but leaves, pine needles and what not dragged in from the yard. I recently ran my leaf blower over it and the wind promptly blew some more down  Oh well, I would rather have that then wet snow anyday. Everything is so nice and green instead of cold and white which it normall is this time of year. But I am going to take care of the dog hair and whatnot in a short here. House cleaning day.

BJ, hope you have a nice trip with LC even if there is a Dr. appt. involved. I would love to be heading out on the open road but unfortunately have to wait on that. But the more I read of people who are leaving us too soon, the more I am starting to think that maybe I should get on my horse and start riding. Will be doing some looking, planning and figuring this year. And like a few others on this forum, continue the house selling debate. Guess the best way to handle that is to take a trip and then see if I missed it when I get back :)

Well, the vac, the dust cloth and the water pail are all calling me  as is the clock. So best to get with it and get'er done. Have a wonderful day all.

I vacuumed the Land Dinghy Saturday then proceeded to spend the rest of the weekend tracking stuff in. I really need to vacuum again before leaving next week, but with 2 tweens, why bother    .

I'm at work earning the paycheck - so I can spend it next week on gas! :o :o :o

Good morning!

What dog hair? I don't see no freakin' dog hair!

I've been AWOL a few days - seems like I just don't have much to say by the time I get here. Been working on my A-to-Z Blogging Challenge entries among other things and, by the time I've poured myself out over the keyboard for that, I just got nuttin'.

It's a lovely but chilly day here in Jersey; yesterday was very windy with gusts at 40+.

Taught a CPR class on Friday. Enjoyed it immensely, everyone did just fine and I received favorable reviews. Sweet. I've been conducting classes for the company we're contracted to at the moment, but am putting together a postcard marketing campaign targeting dentists, doctors, etc. It is not too practical for me to take the time away from the site to make calls in person, so I'm going down the postcard route to start.

I've been sleeping on the daybed and enjoying being able to crack the window open that's next to the bed. Nothing like some cool night air. Makes me sleep so well, and I'm dreaming again. Sleeping with DH is wonderful, but he likes it too warm for my likes and cannot stand a window open even a bit; it's just too chilly for him.

Got meals planned for the week and I'll be in my writer's nook in the evenings. Dave is in serious training for his first race in 2.5 weeks, so he's just watching TV and chilling in the evenings - no Wii snooker or beer for a while. This is fine, as it gives me some quiet time to myself.

Okay, enough rambling. I have photos to put on the DST Web site and some other stuff to do.

Have a wonderful, safe and healthy day / week / or whatever!

Cheers and hugs,
B.

My DH came in with 3 orange trees yesterday. If we have to mow around orange trees I'm going to see if I can still find 2 blueberry bushes. I have been wanting to plant some for years. I need to get the weed eater out and do some trimming but my friend just called and wanted to know if I wanted to go to Lafayette with her. What do you think?

Think I'll call and see what the status of my motorhome is. I don't want to rush them but would like to have it back in the next 2 weeks. The weather has been so nice but think we have about 5 days of rain coming.

One Christmas our kids gave us blackberry, blueberry and raspberry bushes. Then that spring just when the bushes were looking good, Jack put weed 'n feed on the lawn. Did you know that berry bushes are weeds??? Took me a looong time to forgive him for that one!

Gorgeous day here after rain on Sunday and yesterday. I'm really really getting hitch itch here. Evie (Pooker) is after me to do a short trip somewhere but I'm tied up with Dr appts and the Laughlin River Run the end of April. Poor Hope is sitting out back looking lonely. I've been holed up here in the house for 3 weeks between the flu, teeth work and just plain depression. Took the Chewmonster to training Sat and have her signed up for another 2 classes this coming Sat. She may not be learning much but at least it gets both of us out of the house and gets us some exercise. I enjoy it...Chewy... not so much.

Sharon, our grass is mostly whatever came up when we built the house. One year I got the bright idea to put weed and feed fertilizer on it. It killed almost everything, all we had were weeds. I am going to plant the blueberries by the orange trees so maybe he will be careful with the weed spray.

I just got back from up north - Chicago west 'burbs...I paid $4.67 for regular!!!!! YIKES! It's almost a buck cheaper down here. Can't we move Alaska closer to Tennessee? Save us all a bundle...
