Good Monday Morning

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Good Monday Morning

Postby Redetotry » Mon Mar 26, 2012 9:38 am

I hope the burst of energy I woke up with lasts me all day. I have the floors dusted, the stove top cleaned, dogs fed, dust mop ran over these hardwood floors that could use it every time the dogs go in and out as the grass is wet and they always manage to find at least a couple of things to track inside. A friend is coming by to see if she can get my Apple TV connected, I decided to skip yoga today and guess I'm a bad influence she isn't going to go either. This afternoon another friend is meeting me for coffee and loaning me his GPS to try out and this evening I'm going to a Reiki class. All fun things so guess I'd better get my ready on!

I'm getting organizedfor my trip tomorrow, I'm such a worry wart I'll be worn out by the time I leave. Just going for over night so you wouldn't think it would be a big deal but city traffic always is a bit unnerving.

Everyon have a safe, fun day. The sun is out and it's lovely cool.

GOOD MORNING EVERYBODY!

Yesirree this Sunshine State is so very aptly named as I am experiencing day number 150, or thereabouts, of beautiful weather. Since November, we have had but 4 rainy days, and only two of them were an all-day rain. I have never lived anywhere that is as nice as FL in the winters. I am pretty sure I couldn't stand the summers here, however, as the heat and humidity force everyone to run from air conditioned houses to cars to stores and back again----no open windows, fresh air, playing outside, even swimming is icky as the pool water is so tepid. So home I will go for my Adirondack summers in the mountains. Bugs galore up there, but no AC needed!

Lonely here today with everyone back to their own area and routines. I had a pretty good sleeping night again, so am not feeling too bad today. Sitting up and standing are still my best positions for the ribs----no good for sleeping!

Off to mail a package to Orion for Easter this morning and get a few groceries from Publix. This afternon might be nice pool/jacuzzi day. I suppose I could begin to get any clothes I wish to take back home into plastic bins to put in the truck, too. Most everything I will need is already in the trailer, so packing will be no problem, other than the lifting for which I which I will have to ask Goog for help. I will need to refill one propane tank, check tire pressures, check battery water, and that's about it.

Next fall I will be bringing two Castro convertible hassock/beds back to here for exra sleeping facilities. My father bought them here 30 years ago, and they have been back in the Adirondacks since he died and I hauled them there. They are still very comfy temporary sleeping, and, with the new covers that the kids' grandmother made for them, they make a nice day-use love seat type of thing.

Hope you all have a good day doing whatever. Have fun, BJ, whatever you are doing!
Life is about learning to dance in the rain
Happy travels!

Yes, LC and I are going on an adventure. I have a doctor's appt in STL then going on up to St Charles to meet up with a friend I went through school with from first grade on. LC has been to the mechanic and had oil changed and the tires and batteries checked out. I'm going to take her in next Monday and have the water heater flushed and that little thingie inside changed if needed and have all the seals checked. Then I'll have them show me how to turn everything on that I don't know how to do yet like turn the fridge on using propane...

Mornings gone, but so is one of my dr. apps. The kidney taker out one, test all showed good for another time, don't have to go back for a year, which suits my schedule just fine, Thank you , Lord !!! Another one tomorrow, with primary care dr. to check out a couple of things bothering me. Left leg has been swelling since this past winter. I have never swelled , even when carrying my babies so this is a concern for me. Nothing to do with kidneys though, dr. today assured me. So that was a load lifted.

I'm waiting now for a delivery of a new mattress for my r.v. Which by the way I have decided to call Thor. I like manly type things  :o  My Gps, is Tom Tom, so you get the jist of my thinking, Right? ;) Anyway, Thor has the sorriest mattress , I can't believe they would put such in such a nice r.v. It has a bad sunk in area, where threads of the mattress are really pulled. Hard to explain, but I've seen better product on outdoor furniture.

WWWWEEEEELLLLL, the mattress has just arrived, it is the same thing I had !!!!! I am not a happy camper at all. If this one is faulty, think a trip by In. might be on the route to AK. I had my hopes up to get one as nice as the one Sarah has in Magic. There is no comparison, hers is sooo nice. My day was going really well, always something. Now to go see if I can get the bad mattress out and hope this is the good one in.

Glad to hear you see an end to this pain, Soos, that is always a good thing. When are you leaving for the north?

Hope you all have a wonderful day, its beautiful outside, had some cloudy days and this one is just gorgeous today. Have safe travels on your outing BJ.
Take care all ,
CArol :)

CArol, would it help to put a memory foam pad (say 2" or 3") on top of that mattress? That can make all the difference. I have one and I love it!

Finally got a date for a visit with my daughter!! Yay!! May 8th. So now I need to get the airfare scheduled to go back to MN for that week! So excited!! She will be 11 in 3 days! :D

Being lazy today. Nothing fun planned, just laundry, etc.

I found an ad on CL for a master bed/bath in Escondido that is super affordable but it sounds too good to be true. I called and left a message this morning but I figure it has already be snatched up, or it is a scam of some sort. So we'll see...

I guess I better get my laundry started...
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)
