Thought I'd better check in

Postby asirimarco » Sun Mar 25, 2012 11:16 am

No we were not kidnapped by the cartels in Mexico nor abducted by aliens in Roswell - in fact we are almost home! We're spending a couple of days in Joplin, MO. We've been in snow in Arizona and New Mexico and chasing the warm weather east. By the time we get home (in a couple of days) it will probably be winter weather again - sure hope not - it's been in the high 70s and low 89s there for weeks. But lots of rain and severe weather warnings.
We have MiFi now - am hoping it works well at home so we can tell HughesNet goodbye.
The Alfa has been performing like a charm - so nice to be in it.
Bill's leg gives him problems off and on - good and bad days and I managed to throw my back out - it too is getting better but for a few days there the two of us couldn't make a whole.
Been updating my blog daily about our travels. http://lifeinbrowncounty.blogspot.com

Good to hear from you, Carol, as we have been worrying a bit about you two! I am anxious to check out your blogs when I get the time, as I always love your tours! Hope you find good weather at home, and that you manage to stay ahead or behind any storms plaguing the country this spring. Ceck in when you land!

Glad you checked in, we've all been a little worried about you. Hell getting old isn't it? Hope everything improves once you land at home!

We thought that you were making your way back to IN. Glad that you were able to miss most of the rough stuff even if it meant sitting out the snows...... :D I drove through OK some years back after a severe ice storm had taken out and mangled so many of the trees.....it does leave the landscape looking like a war zone. Hope both of your bodies are beginning to get back to normal.... :)

Glad you checked in Carol. Hope you make it home and find a beautiful spring. It's at least a month ahead here and too warm already, at least for me.

Carol, I thought of you two last week when I heard about the earthquake in Mexico and wondered if you were still down there. So I checked your blog and was glad to read that you were back in the USA already.
Hope you two get to feeling better soon! It will be nice to be home again I am sure!

Over 500 miles today - we are home and all is well. got home about 8:00 after leaving Joplin, MO, all through Missouri, Illinois and half way through Indiana.
The MiFi is working great at the house. Thank goodness - We can get rid of HughesNet.
Doing nothing tonight - not even looking at the mail. Tomorrow is another day.
